The Rachel Zoe Project Season 4

It’s the season finale of television’s most vapid series: The Rachel Zoe Project and Rachel sums it up thusly as: Holy Life Change! After welcoming her baby into the world (no, not the Rachel Zoe collection – Skyler) and expanding her brand to include a designer clothing line; Rachel’s company and personal life has grown, grown, grown!

Rachel marvels that complete bliss and vintage Chanel are not mutually exclusive as she reflects upon the birth of her child and how he has become her everything – not clothes! The Zoes have fallen completely in love with their beautiful son – he is SO adorable – and Rachel does not want to leave him for a minute, so he will be accompanying her to the office! Yeah, maternity leave? Not happening – Company Zoe waits for no baby!

On last night’s episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, Rachel and Rodger had some human emotions as Baby Skyler is introduced to the world. It was shocking. And Nice. Keep up the good work guys!

Things start out with Mandana and Joey freaking out about Jeremiah’s firing. Mandana just doesn’t understand why Jers is so upset – I mean he wasn’t fired for incompetence, just for being too talented for the job at hand. Oh and for having dirty nails while touching couture gowns. Joey gets that Jeremiah has the sads and to make-up for it advocates throwing a “sorry for your loss” party.

Mandana grabs coffee with Jeremiah and her eyes glaze over as her “friend” tries to talk to her about how he is feeling post Zoe-pocalypse. She’s just like move on, it’s no big, you had a good attitude – can we talk about ME now? And indeed, Mandana keeps referencing Company Zoe with words like “I” and “Our” Brand. Is it Mandana’s brand or Rachel’s? She who does the most work does not always reap the most reward. But with employees like this it’s no wonder that Rachel feared maternity leave – I also found it ironic that Mandana managed to make a few Brad and Tay jabs while basically announcing she was staging a coup!

On last night’s episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, Jerewhinah tried and tried his damndest but the numbers just didn’t add up. Rachel was honored by The Hollywood Reporter as the top stylist in the world and they styled a huge Elle Magazine bikini shoot.

Rachel is strategizing with Joey and Jerewhinah on an upcoming Elle Shoot. The idea is bikinis, big costume jewelry and old Hollywood glam. Original.

While Rachel is doing what she does best: working, Rodger is doing what he does best: complaining! Rodger goes to his buddy’s house to have coffee and whine about how busy and self-absorbed his wife is and to obsess about how he can’t control her. He doesn’t want to be Mr. Mom; he just wants Rachel to sit at home and pop out babies ala Donna Reed.

On last night’s episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, Mama-to-be Rachel faced the harsh realities that having a child and being uber pregnant means you can’t do it all, as the Oscars descended upon the ill and exhausted Rachel!

Things open with a super-pregnant Rachel having a melt down about clothes – among her zillions and zillions of items she simply has NO maternity clothes and can find nothing to wear. I’m not sure why she is trying to stuff herself into regular people clothes in her third trimester, but that appears to be the case! It’s Rodger and Rachel’s anniversary, so instead of spending it together she has accepted a consulting job. According to Rachel, since she is so busy and so pregnant, this doesn’t feel like their anniversary, so she doesn’t feel like celebrating. She has way too many famous people to attend to!

A Page Six gossip piece emerges announcing former-assistant Brad is styling former Zoe client Demi Moore and everyone is in a tailspin. Rachel announces he only worked with Demi ONE TIME and people need to fact check. I guess we should pay no credence to the rumor that Brad did all the work either.

Oh my, it’s another installment in the “Guess What? I’m Really Pregnant!” show! Otherwise known as The Rachel Zoe Project! Isn’t this show supposed to be about fashion?

In episode 4, Rodger ditches his pregnant wife for a boys night in Vegas as his last hurrah before fatherhood, Rachel whines about missing fashion week, and Jeremiah has a week to totally redecorate Rachel’s new enormous house using only shades of white. And it’s pretty much an advertisement for a future line of RZ Home products – brought to you by BSC (The Bravo Shopping Channel)!

As Rodger leaves for Vegas, Rachel is furious that he is leaving his wife while she is 8.5 months pregnant to spend 24-hours without her for the first time in 20-years. Rachel reveals she is letting him off his leash for the day because she doesn’t want to be the “bitchy pregnant wife.” She doesn’t? Rachel tells Rodger he can’t spend all their money, only she is allowed to do that.

During the TCA 2011 Winter Press Tour going on this week, Bravo announced several premiere dates and series renewals on Thursday.

The biggest announcement however came in the form of the widely talked about 6th season of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Bravo confirmed yesterday that it will be returning on Sunday, March 6 at 10pm.

Other big announcements included the return date of Bethenny Frankel’s show Bethenny Ever After (season 2), and the renewals of popular shows The Rachel Zoe Project (season 4), Millionaire Matchmaker (season 5) and Flipping Out (season 5). The recent season finale of Millionaire Matchmaker averaged 2.2 million viewers, the highest ratings ever in the show’s history, so the return is not a surprise.

Other shows renewed include Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. New shows coming this year include Platinum Hit with Kara DioGuardi which will debut this Summer and Rocco’s Dinner Party will air later this year.
