Our favorite celeb journalist Tom Murro spilled some hot tea on the upcoming season's casting and filming. Tom's source shared this juicy tidbit (juicy, but it gives us the serious sads), "All of the Housewives are back for the 5th season. Danielle has NOT been asked back and Kim D has not been given a contract, but has a small role (and not that of a Housewife). Teresa has friends they they have asked to film with her but not offered contracts yet or to be Housewives."
Lisa reveals that she and her husband decided to get a gastric-sleeve surgery together together to improve their health, and after ten weeks, Lisa has lost an astonishing fifty pounds. Her husband has lost thirty-six pounds in the two weeks after his surgery. Of course. Weight loss is always easier for the dudes, right?
RadarOnline is reporting that Chrisand his brother Joseph formed Signature Apparel Group (a company that once owned brands such as Rocawear and Eve’s Fetish) in 2005 and “drained the company” amassing a debt of $7,804,227 which was used to “support their luxurious lifestyle”!
According to documents the company banked more than $250 million between 2005 and 2009, but then surprisingly declared bankruptcy in September 2009, and just like their friend Teresa, someone started complaining that the bankruptcy petition might just be fraudulent. The suspicious bankruptcy filing prompted the debtor “to come forward with the complaint”, claiming company monies were “misused,” RadarOnline reveals.
Chris and Joseph “drained the Company of all its funds and assets in order to support their families’ increasingly opulent lifestyle of private jets, limousines, extravagant parties, premium automobiles, designer clothing, ostentatious home furnishings and lavish vacations,” the complaint filed November 2, 2010 alleges. “Signature’s assets were misused to make outright and unjustified payments to Laurita family members, and to fund the operations of the Laurita brothers’ other companies and business ventures.”
So what exactly did the Lauritas spend all that money on? Well, according to the documents, here’s the breakdown:
Nearly $2 million in credit card payments for the Laurity Family, including payments to more than 40 bank accounts
At least $331,637 for payments on no less than eleven leased cars, including a Bentley and a Maserati
At least $284,793 in airline travel expenses for the Laurita Family
At least $145,894 for private airplane rentals for the Laurita Family
At least $7,280 for travel agent expenses for the Laurita Family
At least $755,184 to defendant Christopher Laurita for undocumented or insufficiently documented reasons
At least $784,160 of disbursements directed by the Laurita Director Defendants (Chris and Joseph) to unknown recipients, without any documentation whatsoever
Even worse, the complaint alleges that Jacqueline had knowledge that shady business dealings were taking place and willing participated in wrongfully accepting money from the company, which is why she is named as part of the suit! The documents claim Jacqueline, along with Anthony Laurita, “knew of the Laurita Director Defendant’s wrongful conduct, and each substantially assisted the Laurita Director Defendants in breaching their fiduciary duties by, among other conduct, accepting funds they each knew belonged to Signature and for which they each knew they had performed no services and/or provided no value.”
“Funds that should have been used to grow Signature’s business and to pay Signature’s vendors and creditors, instead were diverted to the Laurita Family Defendants.” Oops – that’s not good.
Chris has denied “nearly all of the 155 allegations made in the claim” and believes it should be summarily dismissed, citing: “a failure to state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action and a failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.” The case is still pending so Reality Tea keep you posted with all the updates! Jacqueline has yet to comment, but if Bravo had wind of this matter it may have been another reason she skipped the RHONJ Season 3 Reunion!
In my limited knowledge of bankruptcy law, this is what I understand to have happened: it seems that instead of paying creditors to keep the business lucrative the Lauritas allegedly pocketed the proceeds and spent the money for personal use, then filed bankruptcy to avoid paying their bills. Now they are being accused of fraudulently filing bankruptcy. Any legal or financial experts out there please chime in!
In other news, when it flurries it becomes a Norwegian! Just a few days ago it was reported that Jacqueline was indeed a stripper before marrying Chris and Jacqueline is still adamantly denying it! You know the old expression “the lady doth protest too much…”
Jacqueline took to her personal website to clear up any lingering suspicions about how she met Chris and is sticking to the story that they met while she was a convention model. She also posted yet another Tweet denying she was a stripper and accusing someone (ahem…Teresa) of leaking false stories: “Im being 100% honest w/everyone w/my story of how Chris&I met in Chicago. I WAS NOT A STRIPPER/PROSTITUTE as said by shady people 4 money”
I, for one, can’t wait to hear what sister in law from hell, Caroline Manzo has to say about the latest!

THOUGHTS ON THE LAURITA’S FINANCIAL SITUATION? DO YOU BELIEVE THEY ARE INNOCENT OF ANY WRONG DOING? ARE YOU SURPRISED BY WHAT THE ARTICLE IS ALLEGING? DOES THE RECENT INFORMATION CHANGE YOUR OPINION OF JACQUELINE?
The finale episode brilliantly titled ‘The Heads of the Family Will Roll‘ brought us the same thing we have seen all season. The others vs Danielle Staub. The others claiming they are tired of talking about Danielle, only to gather together and talk about her. The others claiming they want nothing to do with Danielle, only to arrange a sit down with her.
And judging from the previews of the reunion show, we have more others vs Danielle coming our way! Yaay us! Because seeing any of the others decide to disagree with each other, or argue with each other is simply too much to ask for. Though it would be nice to see Caroline call out Teresa on her irresponsible spending habits and $11 mil debt, however, these are moments we can only dream of.
Well folks, last night was no different in this long drawn out season. After stating all season that she wanted nothing to do with Danielle, Caroline decides to call a face to face meeting with Dirty D, bringing us the highlight of the finale.
The episode starts out with the Giudices cooking on their soon to be auctioned off fancy gas range which I might or might not be seriously considering bidding on. They are having a dinner party for all the families sans Danielle of course. A few minutes into dinner, Danielle is brought up as they discuss the charges against Ashley. The Manzos and Lauritas seem upset that Danielle is refusing to drop the charges against Ashley. And I have to ask myself, why should she?
Caroline mentions she wants Danielle to go away, and I once again ask myself – wasn’t Dina the one who asked to meet up with Danielle? Wasn’t Danielle minding her business when Teresa decided to confront her at the country club? Wasn’t Danielle walking away when Ashley pulled out her extensions?
Is Danielle a drama queen nutjob trouble maker? Absolutely! But the others keep contradicting themselves in their actions towards her.
We see Danielle at home as she receives a text from Caroline to meet up. Danielle immediately wants to know how the f*ck Caroline got her number, you know considering she went through all the trouble of getting a new number and going into the witness protection program to get away from her big bad scary co-stars. Danielle, who could have easily said no to the meeting, agrees to meet up with Caroline.
We get yet another scene with the good cop/bad cop Jacqueline and Chris as they attempt to talk some sense into Ashley, and this talk pretty much goes the same way all the others have this season, so moving right along.
Honorable sixth housewife Danny pays Danielle a visit, during which Danielle informs him of her plans to meet up with Caroline. In her interview, Danielle informs us Caroline formed an opinion on her without ever having a conversation with her. Based on this logic, we must all immediately delete the horrific sex tape images from our brains, and wait until our individual sit-downs with Danielle, before we can refer to her as a trashy skank.
Danielle then gives us a great quote, ” Caroline, you are not Carmelo. You are not a Soprano. So stop sending out your little brilliant ones to make it look like you’re not doing anything while you’re sitting there on your proverbial throne judging. Get a life.” I’m guessing ‘proverbial’ must have been Danielle’s word of the month on her spelling calendar or something. And no, Danielle is not referring to NBA player Carmelo Anthony, she means Carmela from the Sopranos of course.
We see Caroline as she prepares to meet with Danielle, during which her daughter Lauren makes perfect sense when she asks her mommy why she wants to meet up with the crazy lady. On the other side of town, Danielle is also getting ready, but this time around, she doesn’t involve her kids, instead calling up her “Energist” as they proceed to do some odd breathing exercises.
Energist – “There you go, did you feel that?”
Danielle – “Oh yeah, I always feel it when you start on me.”
Too easy, so I will move along. The ladies drive to meet with one another and Danielle lets us know she has no reason to stress because “there’s guys here with guns.” As Danielle enters the the private room to meet with an already seated Caroline, Bravo decides to tease us a little bit longer by cutting away from the scene. What the hay! I had to sit through 9 non-eventful episodes this season to get to the dramatic Country club episode, so what’s a few more minutes of waiting.
After getting wrapped up in the Danielle drama for way too long, Caroline is ready to take a stand. Wanting to support her family and friends, especially Jacqueline’s daughter Ashley, who is in jeopardy of having the hair-pulling incident on her permanent record, Caroline is ready to meet face-to-face with the enemy Danielle.
Meanwhile, Danielle, still claiming to be the victim of all Housewife drama discusses who is behind the attacks with her partner-in-crime Danny. Will Caroline’s attempt to get rid of Danielle finally work or are we in for another table-flipping situation? Find out tonight at 10/9c. A preview clip is below.
In other news, it seems with the end of the Real Housewives of New Jersey in sight, Kim Granatell is desperate to keep her name in the press.
The reason? Well for one Kimmie is not a fan of Teresa’s, adding, “I’m going to buy everything and re-sell it on eBay.” Kim tells Radar she plans on donating the proceeds to the Emmanuel Cancer charity.
Kim G. also manages to take a parting shot at Teresa, saying: “Her things should be for sale on a folding table on Mulberry Street.” Ouch.
And finally, RadarOnline is also reporting all of the New Jersey Housewives have been banned from the North Jersey Country Club. You know, the same country club in which the whole Danielle extension yanking drama went down.
The club’s General Manager John Stanley sent out a letter to the club members on July 19 apologizing, stating the ladies are not welcome back at the club, while also calling their behavior staged.
A preview clip of the finale episode is below -
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON KIM G’S PLANS AND THE FINALE EPISODE OF THE NJ HOUSEWIVES?
Teresa herself A friend of Teresa’s tells Popeater “if she wasn’t on the show, this all would be much easier.” Perhaps someone can inform Teresa being on a reality show that focuses on the lives of the wealthy isn’t mandatory by law.
Teresa’s “friend” adds, “Everything would be settled by now, but because she is now famous everyone is using the situation to get press for themselves and humiliate her and her family. It’s honestly got to the point where she’s not sure if she wants to come back for another season.”
Perhaps someone else can inform Teresa no one would have known about her gross $60,000 spending spree had she not had her lawyers file an objection to the upcoming public auction. Plus Teresa and hubby Joe might want to look into firing their lawyer for allowing them to further humiliate themselves by going public with the spending spree information.
“Teresa is sick of everyone knowing all her private financial business,” the insider adds. “She didn’t sign up to be on ‘Housewives’ so that everyone could look into her bank account. Millions of couples go through what they are going through, except no one knows about it. It’s just not fair.” Right, because millions of couples live in McMansions they can’t afford, and go on $60,000 spending sprees days after filing bankruptcy.
As previously reported, Rob Shuter, who wrote this article for Popeater, has relationships with most of the Real Housewives of NJ stars, so this info is likely coming from Teresa herself or one of her co-stars. No words for this new defense/excuse of Teresa’s.
In other NJ news, it is being reported by several websites that Danielle Staub can thank her co-stars for being fired by Bravo. Apparently the other New Jersey housewives gave Bravo an ultimatum to fire Danielle or risk losing them return for another season.
The good folks at Bravo Gossip published the blind item below via Blind Gossip.
“There are the usual vague press releases when someone gets fired, and then there’s the naked truth, which in this case, is much more interesting. This TV series cast member brought exactly the kind of drama to the series that producers dream about. Not surprisingly, it resulted in great ratings for this show. However, the rest of the cast members gave the producers an ultimatum: Either she goes or we ALL say arrivederci. Faced with the prospect of recasting the entire show, they reluctantly released their star. By the way, now that she is gone, an old cast member is seriously considering a return to the show.”
Seems very plausible.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TERESA BLAMING BRAVO? IF THE BI IS TRUE, SHOULD BRAVO HAVE CAVED IN TO THE OTHER HOUSEWIVES?
It all went down a week after the reunion show taping. Bravo reportedly sent Caroline, Teresa and Jacqueline letters asking them to return for a third season. The insider adds that Danielle did not receive a letter and, was not even aware that her co-stars had.
A source also adds that Danielle was unaware she was off the show until she read it online on Monday. As for Danielle’s cryptic non-denial message on Monday, the source says she’s not that upset because she might be getting her own solo reality show. She is said to be “working with production companies who are really interested and have talked to Bravo.”
And as for the gruesome twosome aka the two Kims, they weren’t asked back as well. The source stays this season was a bit of an audition for Kim Granatell and Kim DePaola, adding that they might be asked to make guest appearances next season.
The NYDailyNews doesn’t touch on whether or not Dina Manzo was asked back. Dina left during this season because she no longer wanted to film with Danielle. Dina however posted an interesting tweet this week regarding the Danielle story – “yes, I’ve heard the news, don’t know if it’s true. Rumor has it I may not be invited if I don’t put my daughter back on air. Can u believe?”
Perhaps someone should inform Dina the show is about the women and their families. Without a husband or daughter on the show, she really isn’t bringing much to the table.
