The Real Housewives of NYC

Andy Cohen is the ringleader when it comes to all things Housewives, not just the reunions. The former Bravo executive is the man we have to blame for our weekly obsession. It all started with an idea to go behind the gates of Coto de Caza and see how the other half live in the Real Housewives of Orange County.

Now we have multiple versions that we can watch a couple of nights a week, all year long. Thanks Andy!

But when Andy really shines is when he is trying to referee a housewives reunion or interacting with guests on his late night gab fest Watch What Happens Live!.

Andy recently opened up with a few snippets into what it is like to host a Housewives reunion, how he preps and what WWHL guest made him the most nervous.

Are any of the real housewives the first people you think about going to when you need financial advice? Probably not if we are talking about Teresa Giudice, Alexis Bellino or Lynne Curtain, whose financial pitfalls have taught us what not to do.

But if you are talking about Lisa Vanderpump, Vicki Gunvalson or Ramona Singer, you should perk up your ears and listen. These three real housewives are truly success stories, each owning their own businesses.

The polls have spoken! Bethenny Frankel received 51 percent of the votes for the housewife viewers want to return the most. But were Bethenny Frankel and Andy Cohen listening? Or did they already have a plan for the former star of the Real Housewives of NYC to return to her reality TV roots?

NYC Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel confirms she is indeed getting her own reality show, but denies leaving The Real Housewives of NYC, at least not yet.

“The spinoff news is totally true, but me being replaced after five episodes is totally false,” she told Usmagazine Monday at the Los Angeles premiere of Couples Retreat. “I haven’t started doing the spinoff show. I have started doing Housewives.”

It was reported last week that Bethenny would be replaced on the show’s third season by Sonja Morgan — a real-life friend of cast member Countess LuAnn de Lesseps.

So what can fans expect from her new reality show? “It will be just about my entire life,” she said. Adding that boyfriend Jason Hopper will be a part of her show as well. “If I know Bravo and if they know me, I just think it will be the truth, which is the balance between career and relationships and all things in between. If he is part of my life, he will be part of the show.”

Surprisingly, Bethenny says she regrets her recent diss of fellow Bravo star, Rachel Zoe. “I probably wouldn’t do it again today because it was such a big ordeal. I mean, it was unsolicited. No one asked my opinion about what I thought about that.”
