While the popularity of MTV’s mega hit showJersey Shore continues to soar, there is one clothing company that would like nothing to do with the show.
Evidently Abercrombie and Fitch is NOT a fan of The Situation, 29, and is now in fact offering him alongside his castmates a “substantial” amount of cash to never sport their gear again.
“We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image,” the company said in a press release on Tuesday. “We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.”
The statement continued, “We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s The Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.”
Ouch! What is a bit odd is that the company reportedly capitlized on The Situation’s popularity last year by releasing a “Fitchuation” t-shirt.
And it turns out The Sitch is not the only reality star to turn off a clothing company. The Starcasm blog reportsTeen Momstar Gary Shirley also received a request from another clothing company –Aeropostale — days ago asking him to stop wearing their gear as well.
Gary tweeted, “I’m no longer allowed to wear Aero although I did stop wearing it a while ago. They called and banned it. Was a very sad day for me RIP..” He later added, “Aero reached out and asked to either blur or not wear at all…” Surely that has to hurt.

And as it turns out, the Snooks is actually interested in putting on her dancing shoes! “I didn’t get asked [to be on 'Dancing'], but if I do, dude, I’m bringing the fist pump to the floor,” Snooki told Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday. She added, “If they ask me I’ll do it!”
Meanwhile, Snooki, 23, appeared on Good Morning America yesterday during which she actually talked marriage and making “guido babies” with her beauJionni LaValle.
“I’ve calmed down already. I don’t hook up anymore,” the Snooks told GMA. “I’ll always be this crazy, fun person, but when it’s time to get married, I’m going to be an amazing wife.”
“Jionni is a great guy so I’m so down to making Guido babies with him,” Snooki stated though adding the guido babies will have to wait a bit. “I’m only 23, but eventually I would love to get married.”
Moving on to tonight’s all new episode of the Jersey Shore which has castmates JWoww and Sammi butting heads. In the preview below, Ronnie and Sammi’s volatile relationship appears to take a toll on their roommates while in Italy.
In the clip, Vinnymakes it clear he is over Sammi’s erratic behavior when around her then ex-boyfriend Ronnie during a drunken night out. “I’m done with him and you being drunk,” Vinny tells Sammi. “When Ronnie and Sammi are drunk, they turn into different people and there’s no getting through to them,” he later states in the clip.
JWoww then chimes in, agreeing with Vinny. “This needs to stop! You’re not in high school and you need to grow up and find a happy medium,” snaps JWoww (Preach it sister!). Sammi however gets defensive. “I have feelings for Ron and I always will,” she angrily tells the gang. “It’s hard living with your ex-boyfriend and going out. I’m dealing with it the best I can, and I feel like I’ve been doing pretty f–king good!”
The preview clip is below! And as we reported Sammie and Ronnie did indeed get back together in Italy, and it appears they are still going strong today… for the time being.

Jersey Shore in all its trashy glory is returning; so hold onto your pouf and get ready to move to Florence, Italy for the Season 4 Premiere!
So what can you expect from this season’s Italian adventure? According to Executive Producer, SallyAnn Salsano: “The dynamic is supercrazy and explosive and yet more caring.” SallyAnn also relays being thousands of miles away from real friends and family, the cast had to rely on each other for support instead of bickering constantly!
While one might expect the Guidos and Guidettes to take to Italy like ducks to water, apparently the cast members had a difficult time adjusting to the lack of available facilities, i.e. GTL: We rarely made it to the gym,” says Vinny. “That’s unheard of for us. But it’s not really a big thing there. And these little weird streets that were built in the 1000s… going to the laundromat, you have to haul your luggage through friggin’ Italian villages. That made us stop doing certain things in our routine.”
The Guidettes also had some difficulty with Italian architecture, as apparently stripper shoes are not compatible with cobblestones, explains Sammi: The worst thing was the cobblestone roads and walking in heels. I had to buy a lot of flats, which I would probably never wear in Jersey.”
Despite the difficult surroundings, the cast still made sure to bring the drama to the max! And while no one is revealing the biggest conflict – apparently the Guidos were the source of most of the conflicts, without Angelina there to annoy JWoww, who reveals: “They were doing the catfighting.” Pauly D concurs: “You’ll be surprised to see the drama that sparks this year.”
There was one routine they didn’t have to give up, besides fighting: partying! “The guys, we went hard in Italy. There were a lot of entertaining nights,” relays Ronnie.
“Jersey girls still found us,” says Pauly D. And lucky for them “American college students are far easier to get home at night than Italian girls,” says Salsano. Well, she has a job I certainly don’t envy!
In other Jersey Shore news, it appears filming for Season 5, the last and final season, has already wrapped! Wow – these Guids move fast in more ways than one! To celebrate the end of an era, Snooki got her nose pierced! A picture of the pierced Snooki is below!
The cast also bid farewell to the very brave Shore Store, which was ballsy enough to employ them during their time on the Jersey Shore. After bidding farewell, The Guidettes decided to hang out on the roof one final time. I wonder what they’ll all be up to next?
Jersey Shore premieres Thursday, 8/4 at 10/9c on MTV. A preview of the upcoming season is below!
With less than a week until the season 4 premiere, theJersey Shore cast is starting to do some press to promote the show while also filming season 5 at the same time.
In a new interview with Extra, Snookidiscusses her car crash in Florence, Italy which ultimately led to her license being suspended. “The brakes weren’t really working in our Fiat. They were, like, old. I tried to use the brakes and they didn’t work,” said Snooki of the fender bender. “So to avoid the cops, I ran right into a wall so I didn’t hurt anybody.”
Snooki adds that the cast stayed close to home following the crash. “The only time we [drove was] to the gym, so after that nobody went to the gym — we’d just walk around,” she tells Extra.
Moving on to the on-again off-again poster couple Ronnieand Sammi. As we reported weeks ago, the two once again got back together during filming in Italy.
And surprisingly, they are still going strong today though something tells us they’ve probably had 10 breakups between then and now. While talking to Extra, Sammi admits they are indeed “back together,” adding they are now “moving forward each day in the right direction.” Uh uh. When Ronnie is asked if he thinks fans want to see them back together, he answered – “I think fans want to see us together but not fighting. They want to see us together and happy.” Something tells us fans would rather not see them together at all since that always equals fighting.
In the same interview, Vinnyreveals we will have to wait and see if he got to meet his family in Italy. AndThe Situation’s favorite Italian phrase? It translates into “let’s go back to the house” of course.
The Italian season 4 of Jersey Shore premieres August 4 on MTV at 10/9c.
With less than a month until the August 4 premiere, MTV has released the official season 4 cast photo of the Jersey Shore cast!
In the above shot, the cast is all glammed-up for a late-night run through the streets of Florence, Italy where they filmed the fourth season from May to June.
As reported, the cast only got a one week break before they began filming the fifth season back in Seaside Heights, New Jersey late last month. The new season will debut Aug. 4 on MTV at 10/9c.
In other Shore news, after almost losing two cast members in a span of one week, TMZ is now reporting MTV has laid down the law!
According to TMZ, MTV has now instituted a zero tolerance policy for future cast runaways. Sources close to production reveal the network is very serious this time stating that if another cast member tries to walk off the show… that person will be fired, and the remainder of his or her contract will be terminated. No exceptions.
This is apparently a power play by the network to reassert some authority after two cast members nearly bolted in the same week. Vinny Guadagnino actually left the show for a week after complaining of being “burned out” only to return a week later. While Vinny was gone, The Situation also threatened to quit the show but returned hours later.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE CAST PHOTO & MTV THREATENING TO FIRE CAST MEMBERS IF THEY LEAVE THE SHOW?
It appears MTV”s genius plan to have theJersey Shore cast film seasons 4 and 5 back to back without giving them a break continues to backfire.
Just days after Vinny Guadagnino quit the show for good, it appears The Situationmight be following in Vinny’s footsteps. According to TMZ, The Sitch actually walked off the show on Wednesday, expressing his frustration with the producers, before ultimately returning. Sources tell TMZ The Situation has been antsy lately even telling producers he doesn’t need the show.
And while TMZ is stating Mike is back in the house, another source tells UsWeekly that might be temporary. “Mike walked off the show. He’s so over the whole thing,” an insider says of the 29-year-old MTV star. “Everyone in the house is so unhappy.” Yikes.
The above photo was taken on Wednesday after The Sitch got into an argument with show producers, ripped off his microphone, and stormed off.
Without Vinny and Mike, it seems the show might be in big trouble. Perhaps the cast’s care free attitude also has to do with the report that MTV is planning to replace them after season 5.
In other Shore news, Jenni “JWoww” Farley is bringing her wow factor to the latest issue of Maxim magazine. The non Italian native strips down to some barely there lingerie in an all new spread. JWoww tells the mag her celebrity crush is Leonardo DiCaprio and her turn off includes guys who call her “JWoww.” She also reveals she was excited about filming in Italy because she actually studied art for seven years. More sexy shots of JWoww below!

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE SITUATION POSSIBLY LEAVING THE SHOW FOR GOOD?
Forget the grenade whistle, sound the litigation trombone! As Jersey Shore progresses, the gorilla juicehead gang seems to be more about lawsuits than bathing suits. The Situation finally comes to a resolution with his estranged father, but Pauly D has been strapped with a lawsuit to the tune of millions of dollars. It’s a total GTL situation: Guidos Turned Litigants. Hey-oh!
It seems Mike Sorrentino’s recent Situation with his father has become a lot more civil. You may recall the older Sorrentino was basically exploiting his son and using his son’s fame and popularity to gain notoriety and some extra cash with his website TheConfrontationSite.com. So wrong. If I were Mike, I’d be calling my dad the “Bitchuation” but that’s just me. Luckily, according to TMZ, the lawsuit Sitch brought against his father with claims of using the star’s name, image and likeness without permission is being dismissed much like a grenade after a late night hot tub session.
Frank Sorrentino was sued by his son after creating a website, now defunct, which bashed the Sitch. Frank believes he was the victim of a con artist, Robert Fletcher, who hoped to capitalize on the Sorrentino’s rocky father-son relationship. Frank is apologetic and claims, “I regret getting involved with Robert Fletcher and I am sorry that I participated, to the detriment of my son Michael.” It’s worth noting that the terms of the settlement required Fletcher to pay Mike $5000 while his father got off scott free with just an apology. Blood is apparently thicker than water at the Shore.
Meanwhile, DJ “Pauly D” Delvecchio finds himself in $4 million worth of legal woes. The New York Post is reporting that Paul Lis, a DJ out of Connecticut, is suing Pauly D for his part in damaging his business. Years before Pauly D was lugging cases of Aqua Net across the turnpike, Lis had trademarked the name “DJ Paulie.” After forty years in the disc jockey industry, Lis claims that the Jersey Shore information with which MTV flooded (and continues to flood) the internet has made it a virtual impossibility (literally…bad pun) for potential advertisers and clients to find his site. Lis’ attorney elaborates, “He formally trademarked the name ‘DJ Paulie’ and then came the ‘Jersey Shore’ which basically wiped him off the face of the map.”
Lis has even sent a cease and desist letter to the network but got no response. During this time, Pauly D has applied with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to secure a copyright for his name, claiming it’s a very different business and there is no chance for likelihood of confusion with the original Paulie’s registered moniker. Shockingly, Pauly 2.0′s multiple applications were denied. As someone schooled in the excitement that is trademark law, I can say the USPTO doesn’t often deny applications for no reason.
Lis’ suit reaches beyond Pauly D to the deeper pockets of Delveccio’s employers, MTV and The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, claiming that by employing the young high-haired DJ, the entities are further burying the original Paulie’s name and livelihood. The allegations in the complaint assert that “[t]he reality television show [follows] a group of young adults pursuing a debauched lifestyle suggestive of loose morals, violence, intoxication and liberal profanity — the exact opposite of the reputation the Plaintiff, ‘DJ Paulie’ that[sic] he had spent decades cultivating.”
While I’m thrilled to report that the Situation and his father have buried the hatchet, I have just one word of advice for Pauly D. Give up your dream of being the next big DJ. Forget DTF (Dudes Trademarking Falsities) and RUN, don’t walk, to the USPTO to copyright “Cabs ah he-ah” and “T-shirt time.” Just putting those phrases on t-shirts, license plates and Mardi Gras trumpets will keep you comfortable, coiffed and hot-tubbed for the rest of your life.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SITUATION SETTLING HIS DISPUTE WITH DEAR OLD DAD? DO YOU THINK DJ PAULIE’S LAWSUIT HAS ANY MERIT AGAINST DJ PAULY D?
According to a new report, that will soon be the case with the Jersey Shore cast. In the latest issue of UsWeekly magazine, an insider reveals MTV is planning to replace the entire cast once the fifth season is over.
“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” says an insider. The reason? It all comes down to money… of course.
See while the show is a mega hit for the MTV network, they are having to fork over millions to the cast members. A report that came out earlier this year revealed the core four of the group (Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and DJ Pauly D) were each earning $100,000 per episode for the fourth season. That amounts to over $1 mil each for the entire season.
Quite frankly, MTV feels the new stars will be “a lot cheaper” plus it also frees up the current gang to pursue their spinoffs. MTV has confirmed Snooki and JWoww have one in the works, as well as Pauly D and The Situation.
The source however promises the cast “will leave on a high note!” The cast departed Italy last Saturday as filming for season 4 ended and season 5 is scheduled to begin filming any day now in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
