With less than a month until the August 4 premiere, MTV has released the official season 4 cast photo of the Jersey Shore cast!
In the above shot, the cast is all glammed-up for a late-night run through the streets of Florence, Italy where they filmed the fourth season from May to June.
As reported, the cast only got a one week break before they began filming the fifth season back in Seaside Heights, New Jersey late last month. The new season will debut Aug. 4 on MTV at 10/9c.
In other Shore news, after almost losing two cast members in a span of one week, TMZ is now reporting MTV has laid down the law!
According to TMZ, MTV has now instituted a zero tolerance policy for future cast runaways. Sources close to production reveal the network is very serious this time stating that if another cast member tries to walk off the show… that person will be fired, and the remainder of his or her contract will be terminated. No exceptions.
This is apparently a power play by the network to reassert some authority after two cast members nearly bolted in the same week. Vinny Guadagnino actually left the show for a week after complaining of being “burned out” only to return a week later. While Vinny was gone, The Situation also threatened to quit the show but returned hours later.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE CAST PHOTO & MTV THREATENING TO FIRE CAST MEMBERS IF THEY LEAVE THE SHOW?
It appears MTV”s genius plan to have theJersey Shore cast film seasons 4 and 5 back to back without giving them a break continues to backfire.
Just days after Vinny Guadagnino quit the show for good, it appears The Situationmight be following in Vinny’s footsteps. According to TMZ, The Sitch actually walked off the show on Wednesday, expressing his frustration with the producers, before ultimately returning. Sources tell TMZ The Situation has been antsy lately even telling producers he doesn’t need the show.
And while TMZ is stating Mike is back in the house, another source tells UsWeekly that might be temporary. “Mike walked off the show. He’s so over the whole thing,” an insider says of the 29-year-old MTV star. “Everyone in the house is so unhappy.” Yikes.
The above photo was taken on Wednesday after The Sitch got into an argument with show producers, ripped off his microphone, and stormed off.
Without Vinny and Mike, it seems the show might be in big trouble. Perhaps the cast’s care free attitude also has to do with the report that MTV is planning to replace them after season 5.
In other Shore news, Jenni “JWoww” Farley is bringing her wow factor to the latest issue of Maxim magazine. The non Italian native strips down to some barely there lingerie in an all new spread. JWoww tells the mag her celebrity crush is Leonardo DiCaprio and her turn off includes guys who call her “JWoww.” She also reveals she was excited about filming in Italy because she actually studied art for seven years. More sexy shots of JWoww below!

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE SITUATION POSSIBLY LEAVING THE SHOW FOR GOOD?
Forget the grenade whistle, sound the litigation trombone! As Jersey Shore progresses, the gorilla juicehead gang seems to be more about lawsuits than bathing suits. The Situation finally comes to a resolution with his estranged father, but Pauly D has been strapped with a lawsuit to the tune of millions of dollars. It’s a total GTL situation: Guidos Turned Litigants. Hey-oh!
It seems Mike Sorrentino’s recent Situation with his father has become a lot more civil. You may recall the older Sorrentino was basically exploiting his son and using his son’s fame and popularity to gain notoriety and some extra cash with his website TheConfrontationSite.com. So wrong. If I were Mike, I’d be calling my dad the “Bitchuation” but that’s just me. Luckily, according to TMZ, the lawsuit Sitch brought against his father with claims of using the star’s name, image and likeness without permission is being dismissed much like a grenade after a late night hot tub session.
Frank Sorrentino was sued by his son after creating a website, now defunct, which bashed the Sitch. Frank believes he was the victim of a con artist, Robert Fletcher, who hoped to capitalize on the Sorrentino’s rocky father-son relationship. Frank is apologetic and claims, “I regret getting involved with Robert Fletcher and I am sorry that I participated, to the detriment of my son Michael.” It’s worth noting that the terms of the settlement required Fletcher to pay Mike $5000 while his father got off scott free with just an apology. Blood is apparently thicker than water at the Shore.
Meanwhile, DJ “Pauly D” Delvecchio finds himself in $4 million worth of legal woes. The New York Post is reporting that Paul Lis, a DJ out of Connecticut, is suing Pauly D for his part in damaging his business. Years before Pauly D was lugging cases of Aqua Net across the turnpike, Lis had trademarked the name “DJ Paulie.” After forty years in the disc jockey industry, Lis claims that the Jersey Shore information with which MTV flooded (and continues to flood) the internet has made it a virtual impossibility (literally…bad pun) for potential advertisers and clients to find his site. Lis’ attorney elaborates, “He formally trademarked the name ‘DJ Paulie’ and then came the ‘Jersey Shore’ which basically wiped him off the face of the map.”
Lis has even sent a cease and desist letter to the network but got no response. During this time, Pauly D has applied with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to secure a copyright for his name, claiming it’s a very different business and there is no chance for likelihood of confusion with the original Paulie’s registered moniker. Shockingly, Pauly 2.0′s multiple applications were denied. As someone schooled in the excitement that is trademark law, I can say the USPTO doesn’t often deny applications for no reason.
Lis’ suit reaches beyond Pauly D to the deeper pockets of Delveccio’s employers, MTV and The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, claiming that by employing the young high-haired DJ, the entities are further burying the original Paulie’s name and livelihood. The allegations in the complaint assert that “[t]he reality television show [follows] a group of young adults pursuing a debauched lifestyle suggestive of loose morals, violence, intoxication and liberal profanity — the exact opposite of the reputation the Plaintiff, ‘DJ Paulie’ that[sic] he had spent decades cultivating.”
While I’m thrilled to report that the Situation and his father have buried the hatchet, I have just one word of advice for Pauly D. Give up your dream of being the next big DJ. Forget DTF (Dudes Trademarking Falsities) and RUN, don’t walk, to the USPTO to copyright “Cabs ah he-ah” and “T-shirt time.” Just putting those phrases on t-shirts, license plates and Mardi Gras trumpets will keep you comfortable, coiffed and hot-tubbed for the rest of your life.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SITUATION SETTLING HIS DISPUTE WITH DEAR OLD DAD? DO YOU THINK DJ PAULIE’S LAWSUIT HAS ANY MERIT AGAINST DJ PAULY D?
According to a new report, that will soon be the case with the Jersey Shore cast. In the latest issue of UsWeekly magazine, an insider reveals MTV is planning to replace the entire cast once the fifth season is over.
“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” says an insider. The reason? It all comes down to money… of course.
See while the show is a mega hit for the MTV network, they are having to fork over millions to the cast members. A report that came out earlier this year revealed the core four of the group (Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and DJ Pauly D) were each earning $100,000 per episode for the fourth season. That amounts to over $1 mil each for the entire season.
Quite frankly, MTV feels the new stars will be “a lot cheaper” plus it also frees up the current gang to pursue their spinoffs. MTV has confirmed Snooki and JWoww have one in the works, as well as Pauly D and The Situation.
The source however promises the cast “will leave on a high note!” The cast departed Italy last Saturday as filming for season 4 ended and season 5 is scheduled to begin filming any day now in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THIS REPORT? IS REPLACING THE CAST A GOOD IDEA?
It’s official, the fourth season of the Jersey Shore will premiere on August 4!
While the cast continues to film in the city of Florence, Italy, MTV made the official announcement this weekend. The press release promises the cast will “bring their trademark hilarity, fist-pumping and family dysfunction to the beautiful country” of Italy.
It gets even better as MTV has also green-lighted a fifth season. Yes, the network also announced that Season five will begin production in June. Once filming ends in Italy, the entire cast will return to the surf and sand of Seaside Heights, New Jersey right away to begin filming.
TMZ is however reporting that the cast is currently unaware of MTV’s plans to start filming season five right away. The cast was under the impression they would get a one month break and start filming in August. In fact, most of them are booked for club appearances all through July.
Sources say the cast will NOT be happy once they hear the news as they would rather get a break from filming and make money doing club appearances. The sources also add that the cast could decide to band together and stage a revolt. Oh the horror.
What is certain is that the 4th season will be filled with drama. As we reported, the poster couple for dysfunctional relationships, Ronnie and Sammi, are once again back together and fighting. Ronnie and The Situation also got into a fist fight which left Ronnie with bleeding knuckles and The Sitch with a shiner on his face. Plus Snookicrashed into a cop car though she was left unhurt. Should be a fun season!
TELL US – ARE YOU READY TO SAY G.T.L. IN ITALIAN? EXCITED ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON?
The same night Ronnieand Sammiwere photographed holdings hands in the streets of Florence, Italy, before getting into a reported fight inside of a club later that night, Ronnie and The Situation also got into a fight, except it was a violent fist fight!
The above photos were taken yesterday (the day after the fight) as both Ronnie and The Situation returned back home. The Sitch returned home after a visit to the hospital, while Ronnie can be seen applying bandages to his fist.
In the pic above, The Sitch can be seen sporting cuts and in another photo by a different photo agency, he can be seen sporting a shiner courtesy of Ronnie. As for Ronnie’s injuries, his fist suffered some cuts and bruises.
According to TMZ, the fight took place Monday night, presumably inside the home the roomates share. While full details about the fight have yet to come out, what is certain is that sources tell TMZ it all began with a blowout between Ronnie and Sammi… of course.
And it seems the roomates are all Team Ronnie as Ronnie has since been photographed with most of them out and about since the incident while The Situation has yet to be seen in public since the above picture was taken.
A close up of Ronnie’s fist is below. You know what they say, you can take the kids out of the Jersey Shore but…

TELL US: THE SITUATION’S ASS KICKING – HE HAD IT COMING? DO YOU FEEL BAD FOR HIM?
UPDATE – TMZ is reporting that Ronnie and The Situation have buried the hatchet and are back to being friends again. The two reportedly had a long talk following their fight.
As for what caused the fight, sources say after a heated argument with Sammi on Monday night, Ronnie returned home and “turned his anger towards Mike.” He started talking smack about The Sitch’s family causing Mike to snap and hence the fight. The two fought briefly before it was “quickly broken up.” Ronnie then decided to blow off some steam by punching a wall, which tore up his knuckles.
Almost a week after his father released a number of videos trashing him and revealing his plans to write a tell-all book about him, Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino has now filed a lawsuit.
According to TMZ, the breaking point for Mike came after his dad Frank Sorrentino created the website TheConfrontationSite.com to spill more details about him.
In the lawsuit, Mike alleges his dad is illegally using his name and likeness all over his website. He also insists his dad is actively trying to damage his business reputation by posting anti-Situation videos and statements all over the site.
Mike is asking a judge to stop his father from using his name and likeness on the website right away while also seeking unspecified damages.
Meanwhile, Mike and his costars are still in Italy filming the 4th season of their show. Below are some pics of the cast out and about in Florence, Italy including a pic of The Situation making out with a random grenade blonde last night. Photos credit – Celebuzz.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE SITUATION’S LAWSUIT AGAINST HIS DAD?
Jersey Shore star The Situation aka Mike Sorrentino is being forced to deal with an unpleasant situation this week as his father has spent the entire week publicly bashing him while also revealing his plans to release a tell-all book about him.
It all began on Tuesday when Frank Sorrentino released an explosive video accusing his son of abandoning his family after getting famous. “I ask you one f**king favor and you tell me to go f**king be like a regular f**king Joe Blow and go on welfare? No, my friend, I don’t do that,” said Frank in the video.
Frank made other allegations against The Sitch, including accusing him of getting fired from a job for receiving oral sex from a 40-year-old co-worker.
TMZ then reported yesterday that the main issue with Frank has to do with money… of course. One of Frank’s business associates tells TMZ that Frank had asked the Sitch for help in making his monthly medical insurance payments recently and that Mike refused. Sources claim that not only did Mike say no but he also told his dad to “move to Florida and go on welfare.”
Frank was apparently outraged by Mike’s refusal to help and decided to post the videos of himself slamming his son.
As for The Situation, 28, he is currently in Italy getting ready to start filming the 4th season of the Jersey Shore. He did however release a statement through his rep calling his father’s actions hurtful. Frank “has unfortunately decided to go public with some statements regarding Mike Sorrentino to garner himself media attention. Mike is extremely saddened by his estranged father’s actions and the Sorrentino family, Marc, Frank, Jr., Melissa and their mother Linda, remain united with Mike under these hurtful circumstances.”
As of today, Frank is now planning to release a tell-all book about his son titled Confrontation With Situation. Frank promises the book will reveal all about Mike’s life before hitting it big.
“I’m calling Mike on his sh*t,” Frank says in a press release. “I’ve covered up for Mike his entire life, and when I needed his help, he left me hanging. I think people should know what I know. Hardcore partying, drugs, sex, crime elements, you name it, it’s in there.” Frank also announced today that he now wants his own reality show. Yikes.
