The X-Factor

The X Factor just cannot seem to get it together. The latest dilemma to plague the show which has suffered from poor ratings and fan reaction as of late is that judge LA Reid is leaving and will not return for a third season.

LA is returning to his full-time gig at Sony. "I have the utmost respect for Simon Cowell," told The Hollywood Reporter. "He is the very best, and I have had the opportunity to learn so much from him. Working with him on X Factor has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm honored to have sat on the panel with such incredible talent."

Apparently LA, who has been a part of the show since season one and has survived cast restructurings, would prefer to return to his roots.

Khloe Kardashian showed off some leg last night on Rodeo Drive for The X Factor final four celebration.

Khloe, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and more turned out for the bash.

At the party, Britney shared that she was upset over the elimination of Diamond White.  “It’s a little disappointing. I gave her a big hug."  Despite getting the boot from the show, Britney doesn't doubt for a minute that it will hurt Diamond Whites' future in the field.  "She’s going to go far. I think she knows, she has a good personality and she has a good self-esteem thing going on, so that’s good.”

What is going on with Britney's poses? It's like she's completely forgotten how to smile (and stand up straight) as she flashes these bizarre faces.  It gives me the sads that she may never return to the pre-meltdown Britney.

Contestants, judges, hosts and fans of 'The X Factor' gathered last night at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills for the finalists party.

Khloe Kardashian (wearing a Skaist-Taylor dress with Gianvitto Rossi shoes), Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Mario Lopez and L.A. Reid gathered on the purple carpet with the finalists to celebrate.

I haven't been watching at all this season.  I thought Britney would be enough to pull me in, but there just aren't enough hours in the day!  So, fill us in!  How is this season shaping up?

Others on the purple carpet: Drew Chadwick, Keaton Stromberg, and Wesley Stromberg of Emblem3Vino Alan, Arin Ray, Jason Brock, Beatrice Miller, Carly Rose Sonenclar, CeCe Frey, Jernelle Joseph, Lyric Da Queen, and Julien Joseph of Lyric 145 and more!

Ouch.  Things are not looking good for this season's X Factor and all signs are pointing to Khloe Kardashian as the reason.  It's no secret that pretty much everyone in the world is so sick of this overexposed family, but I would have thought this hosting gig would perhaps legitimize Khloe since it's not actually a mind numbing E! reality show that follows around her family as they get married do nothing…vapidly.

It seems that many X Factor viewers have expressed their disdain for Khloe getting the gig, and ratings have been Plummeting (yes, it's so bad I needed a capital P) since she joined the show.  I know what you're thinking…she's only been on the two live episodes thus far.  That's what makes it even worse!

Simon Cowell is being blamed for bamboozling Fox into thinking that Khole would be a fan favorite who would boost ratings.  Little did he know that instead she would bring a boycott.

As if Khloe Kardashian having to share the stage with sister Kim's ex-husband Damon Thomas wasn't enough (I'm still crossing my fingers they'll end up biffles–how hilarious would that be?), now we have a list of the X Factor's contestants' house rules.  Admittedly, while I love a singing competition, much of my viewing of them comes from YouTube clips.  You all have to remember Susan Boyle's Britain's Got Talent audition, right?  I get teary just thinking about it.  Simon Cowell, the hardazz, chewing on his pen while falling in love?  Priceless!

That said, I've been lukewarm on the X Factor thus far this season.  I was actually glad that Britney Spears didn't turn into the train wreck that seemed to be expected of her, and after getting Demi Lovato's newest song stuck in my head 24/7 and knowing her struggles, I like her as well.  Who is there for me to snark on if I like everyone involved?  Thankfully, knowing what the contestants are and aren't allowed to do, I have a new outlet, and it's awesome.  Let's face it, the rules I'm about to share with you are less about compliance and more about human decency and common sense.  Thankfully, peeps who are trying to make their name on reality television have neither!

Well, this is awkward!  Perhaps we won't be seeing Kim Kardashian trying to upstage her sister Khloe on her new X Factor gig, given that her ex-husband (the first one, not Kris Humphries) will be one of the mentors on the upcoming season.

Damon Thomas, who has nothing but not nice things to say about his ex-wife, is going to be a fixture once Khloe starts her hosting gig along side Mario Lopez.  I may have to actually tune into the next season to see the whole uncomfortable dynamic of it all!  How horrifically amazing!  I bet Kris Jenner is beside herself.  Loves it!

Good news for reality TV fans today!  Both The X Factor and Kendra on Top have been renewed for another season!

Deadline Hollywood reports that despite slightly lower numbers this season, The X Factor has been picked up for season 3.  Nobody is happier about the news than Simon Cowell.  “I couldn’t be happier about The X Factor already being renewed for another season.  I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season.”  The X Factor has been averaging 10.6 million viewers. It seems the revamp of the show by hiring Britney Spears and Demi Lovato is paying off.

Another show, whose ratings seem to be a bit of a secret, Kendra on Top, will be returning to the WE network for another season of sass and stilettoes.  WE tv ordered 12 episodes of the 30 minute show starring former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson and her family, plus 2 hour-long specials.

Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, a member of the R&B group TLC, has landed a new reality show on… wait for it… TLCTotally T-Boz will follow T-Boz, 42, from Atlanta to L.A., where she'll attempt to reestablish her music career.

“This series will open the door into T-Boz’s struggles and successes, and the people who are there to support her as she works to make her dreams come true all over again,” TLC's GM Amy Winter says.

This will be T-Boz's third reality show. In 2005, T-Boz and fellow band mate Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas starred in R U The Girl on UPN. Also, T-Boz appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2009.
