</p>
<p>
	Last week on <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef</strong></a>, <strong>Micah Fields</strong> won the sexy knife&nbsp;quickfire&nbsp;challenge and <strong>Kristen Kish</strong>&nbsp;won the memorable moments elimination challenge. In a cook-off with <b>Lizzie Binder</b>,&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/john-tesar/" target="_blank">John Tesar</a></strong>&nbsp;(and his eye glasses) fell victim to the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2013/01/03/top-chef-seattle-recap-8/" target="_blank">curse of the risotto</a>&nbsp;and was eliminated. Ouch! Being eliminated over Lizzie, who&nbsp;knowingly cooked and served questionable scallops, had to be embarrassing.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	While <strong>Josh Valentine</strong> (and his twisty mustache) is glad <strong>John</strong> is gone, <strong>Stefan Richter</strong>&nbsp;(and his wrinkle-free face) misses his &quot;morning friend.&quot; <strong>Josie Malave&nbsp;</strong>declares she didn&#39;t come back as a stupid chef. True. She came back as an annoying chef.
</p>
<div>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a> and <strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/wolfgang-puck/" target="_blank">Wolfgang Puck</a></strong>&nbsp;introduce the quickfire challenge.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: create a dish highlighting ginger&#8230; sponsored by Canada Dry Ginger Ale&#8230; in only fifteen minutes.&nbsp;Ginger Ale. It&#39;s what pays the bills.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	15 minutes?&nbsp;<strong>Wolfgang Puck</strong>? The pressure is on!&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong>&nbsp;makes a split-second decision and grabs watermelon.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong>&nbsp;loves ginger and pairs it with squid.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong> disses Sheldon&#39;s stir fry dish, calling it too <em>pedestrian</em> and <em>Chinese restaurant</em>, and <strong>Sheldon</strong> yells &quot;mother f-ker&quot; at his meat.

<div>
	<strong>Josh Valentine</strong> &#8211; white chocolate and ginger soup with peaches and tarragon. Wolfgang says Josh&#39;s use of ginger is &quot;restrained.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Josie Malave</strong> &#8211; seared scallop with ginger-honey yogurt and miso-ginger sauce. Scallops are nicely cooked.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong> &#8211; ginger-caramel squid with fresh lime and chili powder. Wolfgang sounds impressed&#8230; it&#39;s inventive.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie Binder</strong> &#8211; watermelon and ginger soup with fresh mint. Camera zooms in on a can of Canada Dry, nice touch, and Wolfgang says, &quot;Nice cold soup for a warm summer day.&quot; <strong>Micah Fields </strong>- ginger shrimp salad with radish, plum, ponzu vinaigrette, and fried crispy ginger. Padma enjoys the plum.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen Kish</strong> &#8211; gennel-ginger salad with brie and tomatoes. Wolfgang seems impressed by Kristen&#39;s CO2 infusion method.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> &#8211; wok-fried ginger skirt steak with ginger and oranges. Not sweet enough.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan Richter</strong> &#8211; ahi tuna with lemongrass and ginger vinaigrette. Wolfgang says it&#39;s delicate.&nbsp;Stefan schmoozes Wolfgang.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Wolfgang</strong> says<strong> Sheldon</strong>&#39;s stir fry tasted like pedestrian Chinese food. Hey, that&#39;s what Stefan said! <strong>Josh</strong>&#39;s dessert lacked flavor. <strong>Brooke</strong>&#39;s dish is inventive and menu-ready, <strong>Stefan</strong>&#39;s dish is wonderful, and<strong> Lizzie</strong>&#39;s watermelon soup is well-balanced.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke wins the quickfire challenge.</strong> She wins immunity.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-brooke-williamson" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-110529" height="367" src="http://cdn1-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2013/01/top-chef-seattle-brooke-williamson.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-brooke-williamson" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: come up with a restaurant concept, a dish that represents it, and prepare said dish for more than 200 people at the city&rsquo;s premier food event, Bite of Seattle. This is part one of <strong>Top Chef</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Restaurant Wars</strong>.&nbsp;The<strong> two winners</strong> of this challenge will be the executive chefs who open their restaurants in part two of <strong>Top Chef Restaurant Wars</strong>.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges are&nbsp;<strong>Danny Meyer</strong>, a&nbsp;legendary restaurateur whose chefs have earned 25 James Beard awards,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>, and&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/gail-simmons/" target="_blank">Gail Simmons</a>.&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josh</strong> &#8211; Neighborhood Bistro &#8211; <strong>Bistro George</strong> &#8211; seared eye of rib eye with cauliflower puree and mushroom red wine sauce. Josh&#39;s concept is &quot;meat and potatoes&quot; inspired by his late father. Danny says the mushrooms are seasoned well but the steak is not.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> &#8211; Northern Italian (a little Hungarian and a splash of Eastern European)&nbsp;Farmhouse Kitchen &#8211; <strong>Mia Filino</strong> &#8211; mustard green canederli with fonduta and crispy speck. It&#39;s too heavy, says Tom.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stefan</strong> &#8211; German-Thai &#8211; <strong>Bangkok via Munich</strong> &#8211; Thai lobster bisque with shrimp dumplings, potatoes, and radishes. Mr. Overachiever also prepared a (cool down) Bavarian creme mango lollipop. Danny isn&#39;t impressed. Tom thinks Stefan idea is good&#8230; the execution not so much.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
<div>
		<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2013/01/08/photos-shahs-of-sunset-stars-reza-farahan-lilly-ghalichi-and-asa-soltan-rahmati-attend-tcas-voice-biggest-loser/" target="_blank">Shahs Of Sunset Stars And Other Reality TV Stars Attend TCA&rsquo;s</a></strong>
	</div>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong>&nbsp;- Modern Filipino -&nbsp;<strong>Urbano</strong>&nbsp;- sour tamarind soup with pork belly, shrimp, and snapper. Simple food elevated into something great is Sheldon&#39;s plan. &nbsp;Danny says, &quot;This flavor really makes you sit up straight&#8230; in a good way. It&#39;s very clear that he&#39;s cooking from the heart.&quot; Padma says it&#39;s authentic and elegant&#8230; a hard combination to pull off&#8230; Gail likes it too.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
<div>
		<strong>Micah</strong> &#8211; Raw Food -<strong> Raw</strong> &#8211; salmon, snapper, himachi, squid, scallop, and mackerel with raw vegetables. Micah goes for healthy raw foods to please the figure-conscious ladies. Well, nothing says &quot;I cook really great food&quot; like serving raw food, huh?&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong> &#8211; Classic French &#8211; <strong>Atelier Kwan</strong> &#8211; Onsen egg with Camembert-mustard sauce and buttered radishes. Kristen goes French contemporary. The egg in Kristen&#39;s dish gets rave reviews.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; Jewish Food &#8211; <strong>UnKosher</strong> &#8211; matzo ball soup with duck confit and toasted black rye bread. Brooke calls her concept Jewish food gone awry. Gail doesn&#39;t like the matzo ball, saying, &quot;It&#39;s offensive to my people.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong> &#8211; Cuban Food &#8211; <strong>Home 305</strong> &#8211; Puerco asado, black bean chorizo croquette, pickles, and mojo sauce. Josie is all about Miami and Cuban flavors. Once again, Josie doesn&#39;t have her food ready, so she talks, explains, laughs, talks, explains&#8230; Gail thinks the pork is dry and flavorless.
	</div>
<div>

	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
</div>
<p>
	<strong>Padma</strong> calls&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong>, <strong>Sheldon</strong>, and <strong>Josh</strong> to the judges&#39; table. <strong>Kristen and Sheldon win.</strong> They each win $10,000. The winner of <strong>Top Chef Restaurant Wars</strong> gets a Toyota Ava.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong> and <strong>Sheldon</strong>&nbsp;will serve as the&nbsp;executive chefs next week. They staff their kitchens:
</p>
<div>
	<strong>Kristen</strong> picks <strong>Brooke</strong>, <strong>Lizzie</strong>, and <strong>Josie</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon</strong> picks <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, and <strong>Micah</strong>.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	I&#39;m surprised <strong>Kristen</strong> did not choose <strong>Stefan</strong>.&nbsp;The weakest chefs this week are <strong>Micah</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, and <strong>Lizzie</strong>. <strong>Tom</strong> calls Micah&#39;s dish a &quot;pupu platter&quot; of fish. Micah blames the grocery store&#39;s lack of selection. <strong>Padma</strong> is confused by Lizzie&#39;s concept. Lizzie says, &quot;Perhaps I wasn&#39;t GRACIOUS enough to EXPLAIN it ALL to you.&quot; <strong>Danny </strong>says there was no relief from Lizzie&#39;s heavy flavors. Danny tells Josie that he knew her dish was going to be a problem right away.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Micah is told to pack his knives and go home. </strong>Or to&nbsp;<strong>Last Chance Kitchen</strong>. Padma doesn&#39;t care where he goes, really, but he can&#39;t stay there. Micah says, &quot;I came on this competition to prove to myself how good of a chef I really am, and I did &#8230; I don&#39;t want this to have been a waste of time.&quot;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; WHY IS JOSIE STILL THERE? WHO DO YOU WANT TO WIN RESTAURANT WARS?</strong>

<p>
	Last week on <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a>, the cheftestants harvested fresh oysters and cooked for the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/27/top-chef-seattle-recap-7/" target="_blank">Rat City Roller Girls</a>. While everyone wished they could have voted <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/josie-malave/" target="_blank"><strong>Josie Malave</strong></a> off the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef</strong></a> island, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/bart-vandaele/" target="_blank"><strong>Bart Vandaele</strong></a> was eliminated for serving beyond bland food. I told those suckers that they&#39;d regret not letting Josie sink in the mud, but they didn&#39;t listen to me.
</p>
<div>
	This week&#39;s episode opens with <strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> sharpening his knives and <strong>Stefan Richter</strong> slathering on wrinkle cream. Funny.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a>&nbsp;introduces this week&#39;s special guest, master blade smith&nbsp;<strong>Bob Kramer</strong>, who&nbsp;makes custom knives that sell for <strong>$500 an inch</strong>. That&#39;s crazy!
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Bob</strong> cuts through two ropes to demonstrate just how awesome a $4,000 knife is. <strong>Sheldon</strong> begs to give him a hug; <strong>Lizzie Binder</strong> appears as if she hasn&#39;t slept in weeks; <strong>Stefan</strong> doesn&#39;t look too impressed. Perhaps Stefan would have cracked a smile or raised an eyebrow if Bob had busted out $4,000 wrinkle cream.

	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: knife work in three rounds. The first chef to finish the challenge wins immunity and a &quot;sexy&quot; Bob Kramer knife.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Red team &#8211; <strong>John Tesar</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, and <strong>Kristen Kish</strong>. Green team -&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong>, <strong>Lizzie</strong>, and <strong>Brooke Williamson</strong>. Blue team -&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon</strong>, <strong>Micah Fields</strong>, and <strong>Josh Valentine</strong>.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Round one &#8211; sharpen knives, slice paper. <strong>John</strong> urges his teammates to not work too hard, saying, &quot;It&#39;s paper, guys, not cement.&quot; The green team is the first team to ask for a check. While <strong>Stefan</strong> and <strong>Lizzie</strong>&#39;s knives cut the paper, <strong>Brooke</strong>&#39;s does not. John calls &quot;check&quot; without checking with his team, which annoys <strong>Kristen</strong>, and then the cut of his knife isn&#39;t &quot;clean&quot; enough. John sharpens his blade some more&#8230; and passes&#8230;. what is Brooke doing? The blue team calls for a check &#8211; and moves on to round two &#8211; before Brooke finishes. Brooke, Stefan, and Lizzie are eliminated.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Round two &#8211; carve 50 potatoes into little footballs using an oversized knife. <strong>John</strong> brags that he&#39;s been turning potatoes since he left his mother&#39;s womb. <strong>Micah</strong> mentions that <strong>Sheldon</strong>&#39;s potatoes look like poop logs. Such a lovely visual for food. John tells the &quot;ladies&quot; to pick up their pace, and &nbsp;then <strong>Josie</strong>&nbsp;cuts her finger with her knife, which eliminates her from the competition. <strong>Josh</strong>, Sheldon, and Micah call for a check and pass. John and <strong>Kristen</strong> are eliminated.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-stefan-micah-lizzie-john" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-108289" height="334" src="http://cdn3-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2013/01/top-chef-seattle-stefan-micah-lizzie-john.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-stefan-micah-lizzie-john" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Round three &#8211; break down two rabbits. Working individually now, <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Sheldon</strong>, and <strong>Micah</strong> race for the win. This is a very disturbing challenge. First, Josh plays it cool, joking (he was joking, right?) that cutting up a rabbit is no different than cutting up a cat, and then Micah shares, &quot;Breaking down little bunnies is a very Zen moment for me.&quot; In the end, <strong>Micah wins the quickfire challenge.</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Poor <strong>Sheldon</strong>&#8230; the &quot;sexy knife&quot; was almost his.. I think Sheldon has a knife fetish, and I&#39;m torn between <em>that&#39;s hot</em> and <em>that&#39;s frightening</em>.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: recreate a healthier version of a &quot;memorable moment&quot; dish from a previous season. The winning dish will inspire a new Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer&#8230; frozen meal&#8230; that none of these chefs would be caught dead eating off-camera. The winner gets $15,000.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The chefs&#39; assignments are revealed to them via Kindle Fires (oooh! aaah!). <strong>Josie</strong> gets season one&#39;s &quot;I&rsquo;m not your bitch, bitch&rdquo; moment.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong> gets season two&#39;s grilled cheese sandwich.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong> gets an <strong>Anthony Bourdain</strong> moment from season three. John brags about taking Anthony under his wing, blah, blah, being a character in his book, blah, blah. Note to John: you&#39;re a <strong>Top Chef</strong> <em>contestant</em> and Anthony has been a <strong>Top Chef</strong> <em>judge</em>. Get over yourself.

	<strong>Sheldon</strong> gets <strong>Top Chef Chicago</strong>&#39;s fight between <strong>Antonia Lofaso</strong>, <strong>Dale Talde</strong>, and <strong>Spike Mendelsohn</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> gets <strong>Jamie</strong>&rsquo;s season five&#39;s&nbsp;<em>Top Scallops</em> a la <strong>Jamie Lauren</strong><em>.&nbsp;</em><strong>Josh</strong> gets <strong>Michael Voltaggio</strong> season six&#39;s bacon. Can Josh finally get a handle on his pork?&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> gets season seven&#39;s infamous pea puree.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong> gets <strong>Carla Hall</strong>&#39;s season eight pot pie. <strong>Micah</strong> gets <strong>Beverly Kim</strong> and <strong>Heather </strong><strong>Terhune</strong>&#39;s disastrous dish from <a href="https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-season-9/&amp;sa=U&amp;ei=KbflUM32CtLy2gXgy4DABQ&amp;ved=0CAcQFjAA&amp;client=internal-uds-cse&amp;usg=AFQjCNE98QaaE5h87PVk-3bLlZVB7dwOQQ" target="_blank">season nine</a>.

<div>
	The next day, the chefs have two and a half hours to navigate the foreign kitchen, which apparently has no flat pans (boohoo, John), and prepare their healthy meals. We learn that&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong> dishes out healthy eating advice on a daily basis, which I find interesting. <strong>Lizzie</strong> discovers that her scallops smell bad. Yummy. <strong>John</strong> whines about <em>the risotto curse</em>. With all of this risotto and scallop talk, I feel like I&#39;m watching <strong>Hell&#39;s Kitchen</strong>. I&#39;m secretly hoping someone playfully yells, <em>Piss off!&nbsp;</em>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stefan</strong> admits that his &quot;healthy&quot; grilled cheese is drenched in olive oil and butter. Right on! Personally, I don&#39;t think &quot;grilled cheese sandwich&quot; (my go-to comfort food) and &quot;healthy&quot; have any reason to be in the same sentence.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> is nasty mean.
</div>
<div>

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges for this challenge are&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/wolfgang-puck/" target="_blank"><strong>Wolfgang Puck</strong></a>, and former <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-masters/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Masters</strong></a> contestants <strong>Wylie Dufresne</strong> of WD-50, <strong>Jonathan Waxman</strong> of Barbuto, and <strong>Chris Cosentino</strong> of Incanto. And a mess of <strong>Top Chef</strong> super fans.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josie</strong> &#8211; herb-roasted chicken with parsnip puree and steamed root vegetables.&nbsp;Wylie says Josie roasted her chicken nicely, though the skin could have had more crunch.&nbsp;Jonathan, who knows chicken, simply says the dish is &quot;fine&quot; but &quot;not exciting.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong> &#8211; roasted red pepper soup with bacon and grilled mimolette cheese sandwich. Visible fat content and greasy&#8230; not exactly rave reviews for a healthy dish. Oh well. Like I said, it&#39;s <em>grilled cheese</em>!&nbsp;<strong>John</strong> &#8211; umami risotto with chicken, salmon roe, burdock root, and carrot emulsion. Padma doesn&#39;t like John&#39;s risotto. Wolfgang says it&#39;s unevenly cooked.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;- soy-glazed pork tenderloin with smoked cashew puree and heirloom peaches. Padma remembers that season six&#39;s Michael got a standing ovation for his dish; Tom remembers Padma&#39;s leopard print dress.&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon</strong> &#8211; beef carpaccio with poi aioli, mizuna and mushroom salad, and silken tofu foam. Chris calls it a runny mess.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> &#8211; <strike>eat at your own risk</strike>&nbsp;seared scallops with roasted fennel, garlic puree, orange, and olive salad. Right away, Wolfgang knows the scallops are bad. Jonathan thinks Lizzie should have trashed the scallops, explaining they were bad, and served only the salad.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Micah</strong>&nbsp;- five-spiced duck breast with miso polenta and pickled cherries. While Tom likes the duck breast and the cherries, Jonathan isn&#39;t crazy about the miso and polenta combo.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong>&nbsp;- poached chicken breast, carrot puree with garlic, and tofu emulsion. An impressed Tom says, &quot;This is the way you lighten a dish up and still make it flavorful.&quot; Chris&#39;s plate doesn&#39;t have any sauce.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; smoked salmon, forbidden black rice with English pea and parsnip puree. Wolfgang says it&#39;s cooked well. Everyone agrees, it&#39;s a &quot;beautiful&quot; dish.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-kristen-john-lizzie" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-108285" height="334" src="http://cdn3-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2013/01/top-chef-seattle-kristen-john-lizzie.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-kristen-john-lizzie" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> calls <strong>John</strong>, <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, <strong>Lizzie</strong>, and <strong>Brooke</strong> to the judges&#39; table.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges&#39; favorite dishes came from <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Brooke</strong>, and <strong>Kristen</strong>. Brooke and Kristen, congrats! Josh, you were just kidding about breaking down cats, right? I mean, the mustache is reason enough to hate you. Let&#39;s not be an overachiever, now. At least he finally got the pork right.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>The winner is Kristen!&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The losers: <strong>John</strong>&#39;s risotto was a mess. John says, &quot;I&#39;m not making an excuse (um, yes, you are), but there wasn&#39;t one level pot in the kitchen.&quot; <strong>Wolfgang</strong> is like, <em>suck it up, buttercup. </em>While&nbsp;John and Josh argue about whether or not the kitchen had adequate pots and pans, <strong>Lizzie</strong> apologizes for knowingly serving food poison on a plate.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> ends the whining by announcing that either <strong>John</strong> or <strong>Lizzie</strong> will be going home. Then, she whips out the tenth Kindle Fire (oooh! aaah!), explaining that they will each prepare season ten&#39;s memorable moment dish in a cook-off. The challenge: <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/06/top-chef-seattle-recap/" target="_blank">C.J.&#39;s spicy pickle burger</a>.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong> is pissed because he&#39;s being forced to cook again. <strong>Lizzie</strong> is relieved.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/29/photos-reality-tv-stars-twitter-pictures-roundup-december-29th/" target="_blank"><strong>Reality TV Stars&rsquo; Twitter Pictures &ndash; December 29th</strong></a>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	In the kitchen, <strong>John</strong> scoops up all the pickles but kindly agrees to share with <strong>Lizzie</strong>. Isn&#39;t he sweet? Then, when John uses all of the dill behind Lizzie&#39;s back, he acts confused as to why she gives him an attitude. John thinks he deserves a medal for sharing any pickles at all.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Final Cook-Off</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John</strong> &#8211; lamb burger with fried egg and spicy pickle, tomato, and pomegranate salad.&nbsp;Wolfgang chides, &quot;Did you find the right pan this time?&quot; He also says the lamb could be moister. Chris compliments the salad, saying it&#39;s super flavorful, but questions the addition of the egg.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong> &#8211; chicken burger with goat cheese ricotta and dill pickle roasted red pepper salad.&nbsp;Wolfgang says it is moist. While Chris says the salad is flavorful and refreshing, he would have added more salt.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges unanimously agree that Lizzie&#39;s dish is the better dish.&nbsp;<strong>John is eliminated.&nbsp;</strong>Padma yells, <em>John, PISS OFF, you donkey!</em> Um, that might have only happened in my own head. #gordonramsayrocks
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John</strong> isn&#39;t bitter&#8230; but this is bulls-t because he endured all that childish behavior and he could have refused to share the pickles with Lizzie&#8230; but he&#39;s not bitter. Not at all.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	While I&#39;m glad I no longer have to see <strong>John</strong>&#39;s forehead glasses, I would have preferred to say goodbye to either the loud mouth&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong> or the cat-cutting psychopath&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN THE FINALS? WILL KRISTEN WIN SEASON TEN?&nbsp;</strong>

</p>
<p>
	Last week on <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a>, we endured <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/20/top-chef-seattle-recap-6/" target="_blank">Tuna Gate and Rockin&#39; Josie</a>. While <strong>Kristen Kish</strong> scored a double win, <strong>Danyele McPherson</strong> was eliminated for constantly falling short.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	This week, instead of personally introducing the quickfire challenge,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a> and <strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/emeril-lagasse/" target="_blank">Emeril Lagasse</a></strong>&nbsp;leave a note. The note directs the chefs to take three Toyotas (ohh! ahh!) to Taylor Shellfish Farm.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	When <strong>Josie Malave</strong> gets stuck in quicksand, <strong>Micah Fields</strong> and <strong>Stefan Richter</strong> come to her rescue. I don&#39;t know why. She&#39;s super annoying, nobody can stand her, and proving to be impossible to eliminate. Overall, the chefs are excited to harvest fresh oysters.&nbsp;They take their time, enjoying every second of the experience and slurping up fresh oysters as they go.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</p>
<div>
	The challenge: the chefs must prepare an oyster dish for <strong>Emeril</strong>. In the kitchen, there are five red aprons and five blue aprons. Red aprons will prepare hot dishes and the blue aprons will prepare cold dishes. The winner gets $5000.&nbsp;

</p>
<p>
	<strong>Kristen &#8211; Hot</strong> &#8211; oysters with caramelized honey tomato broth, celery leaves, and chili. Emeril likes the celery leaf on top.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan &#8211; Cold</strong> &#8211; smoked oysters with potato vinaigrette and flash frozen salt. Emeril says there&#39;s a nice crunch.
</p>
<div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Josh Valentine &#8211; Cold </strong>- oysters with pickled cucumbers, white soy, cilantro, and red chili. Josh&#39;s oysters aren&#39;t shucked very well.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie Binder &#8211; Cold </strong>- oysters with crushed currant juice, crushed pink peppercorn. Emeril appreciates the final drizzle of olive oil.
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong> <strong>- Cold</strong> &#8211; oysters with salsa verde, cilantro, horseradish, and red chili. Once again, Emeril deals with poorly shucked oysters.&nbsp;<strong>John Tesar</strong> <strong>- Hot</strong> &#8211; oysters poached in garlic butter with Swiss chard and garlic-Parmesan foam. John does the foam, hoping to lighten up the cheese, and Padma thinks it was a wise choice.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Josie</strong> <strong>- Hot</strong> &#8211; wood-roasted oysters with chorizo and cilantro cream. Emeril says there&#39;s a nice balance with the chorizo &#8211; it doesn&#39;t over-power the dish. <strong>Micah &#8211; Hot</strong> &#8211; crispy fried oysters with arugula salad, hot sauce, and lemon. Micah idolizes Emeril. He compares this challenge to Moses meeting God. Emeril likes the seasoning.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong> <strong>- Hot </strong>- oysters with Champagne, butter, and cream. Padma questions how Bart roasted the oysters.&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> <strong>- Cold</strong> &#8211; oysters with chilled Old Bay broth and ginger scallion pesto. Emeril says there&#39;s a little hint of ginger &#8211; it&#39;s nice.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<img alt="top-chef-seattle-jalapeno-business" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-106477" height="334" src="http://cdn1-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-jalapeno-business1.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-jalapeno-business" width="500" />
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		In the end, <strong>Bart</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, and <strong>John</strong> fail the challenge. The butter and cream in Bart&#39;s dish overpowered the oysters, Josie&#39;s sauce was broken, and John&#39;s dish needs some <em>pop</em>.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		The best dishes came from<strong> Lizzie</strong>, <strong>Micah</strong>, and <strong>Brooke</strong>.&nbsp;To Lizzie, <strong>Emeril</strong> says, &quot;When I first looked at the color, I was like, where are we going with this thing? I loved how you took a chance with those berries. It was delicious.&quot; Emeril commends Micah for taking a risk. Emeril tells Brooke that the many flavors in her salsa verde were delicious and didn&#39;t take away from the flavor of the oyster. I&#39;m surprised he put Brooke&#39;s dish in the winning category considering the poor shuck job.
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Emeril gives the win to Micah.</strong> He wins $5,000 (there&#39;s no immunity this week).
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Elimination Challenge&nbsp;</strong>
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		When <strong>Padma</strong> announces that the chefs will be cooking for the most exciting sports team in Seattle, the <strike>Seahawks</strike> <strong>Rat City Roller Girls</strong> roll into the kitchen. <em>Really?</em> The most exciting team in Seattle? I had no idea roller derby was even a thing anymore.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Lizzie</strong> immediately fears she&#39;s going to have to cook on roller skates&#8230; that remains to be seen.&nbsp;For now, <strong>Padma</strong> asks the cheftestants to form teams of two. <strong>Stefan</strong> immediately puts his arm around his girl <strong>Kristen</strong>. <strong>John</strong> invites <strong>Brooke</strong> to work with him. <strong>Lizzie</strong> and <strong>Micah</strong> form a team, as do <strong>Josh </strong>and<strong> Sheldon</strong>. <strong>Bart</strong> gets stuck with <strong>Josie</strong>.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Each team must prepare a dish inspired by the Roller Girls&#39; names: Terriyaki Terror, Jalape&ntilde;o Business, Eddie Shredder, Kutta&nbsp;Rump, and Tempura Tantrum. Emeril asks for bold dishes.&nbsp;Hoping to inspire the chefs, the Roller Girls invite them to their next game. And&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong> is beyond obnoxious at the game. When <strong>Stefan</strong> shushes her, Josie swears, calls the other chefs boring, and walks away.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Back at the condo,&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong>&nbsp;lies down for a nap. Her fanatic scream did look exhausting.&nbsp;The other chefs take the opportunity to talk about her.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;calls her loud and obnoxious.&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong>&nbsp;says her words are &quot;unimportant.&quot;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/27/photos-video-meet-the-cast-for-vanderpump-rules-bios-lisa-rhobh/" target="_blank"><strong>Meet The Cast For Bravo&#39;s Newest &#8211; Vanderpump Rules!</strong></a>
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Turns out, <strong>Josie</strong>&#39;s not asleep. Oops. She jumps off the couch, saying, &quot;If we have some panties in a bunch because I said you guys are so boring&#8230; is everyone so sensitive about that?&quot; <strong>Micah</strong>&nbsp;simply says there&#39;s no need to call anyone names. Josie insists she never called anyone a name and adds,&nbsp;&quot;This tree right here, you don&#39;t want to bark up, Micah! This right here, knows what she is. You are hiding in a closet!&rdquo; Walking away, Josie adds, &quot;F*** you, a**hole.&quot; Micah raises an eyebrow and mockingly introduces himself to the group as a gay man living in a closet.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		The chefs have 2 1/2 hours to prepare their dishes at the roller rink, though not on roller skates (bummer). Just a reminder&#8230;&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong> has the unfortunate task of working with <strong>Josie</strong>. Bart urges &quot;Juicy&quot; to let go of the drama and focus on what&#39;s important &#8211; the food.&nbsp;Josie pours her Mexican/Filipino/Italian heritage into her teriyaki sauce. To each their own, I guess, but those influences don&#39;t scream teriyaki to me. When Bart tastes it, he doesn&#39;t look sold. Also, Josie isn&#39;t impressed with Bart&#39;s rice. I have a feeling this isn&#39;t going to end well for one of them.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Despite her early reservations, <strong>Brooke</strong> works well with <strong>John.</strong> John shares a sad story about losing custody of his daughter when she was just a baby&#8230; and adds that Brooke reminds him of her. He&#39;s touched that Brooke takes the time to understand him.
	</div>

		The judges for this challenge are&nbsp;<strong>Emeril</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Padma</strong>,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/hugh-acheson/" target="_blank"><strong>Hugh Acheson</strong></a>, and&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>. &nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>John and Brooke &#8211; Kutta Rump</strong> &#8211; Thai beef with lobster jasmine rice and Thai slaw. Hugh says, &quot;The flavors will really build well &#8230; This is definitely bold.&quot; According to Kutta Rump, it starts nice and then gets spicy.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Bart and Josie &#8211; Teriyaki Terror</strong> &#8211; steak teriyaki with forbidden rice, beet blood, and green papaya salad. Teriyaki Terror says it&#39;s unique&#8230; unique crappy. The rice is a complete miss. Padma says it&#39;s overcooked; Emeril says it&#39;s under seasoned.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Lizzie and Micah &#8211; Jalape&ntilde;o Business</strong> &#8211; crab-stuffed jalape&ntilde;o with avocado cream, onion, and pepper relish. Hugh admits it&#39;s better than he expected it to be. Tom likes the flavor and the crispiness.&nbsp;Jalape&ntilde;o&nbsp;Business calls it &quot;elevated party food.&quot;&nbsp;

	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Stefan and Kristen &#8211; Eddie Shredder</strong> &#8211; corn puree, chicken liver, and sunny-side up egg. Emeril says the corn puree is delicious, the liver is cooked perfectly, and the egg is overdone. Tom thinks Stefan and Kristen&#39;s dish lacked imagination.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Josh and Sheldon &#8211; Tempura Tantrum</strong> &#8211; tempura yuzu curd with shiso, fresno chili, sweet potato, and vanilla. The custards are meant to be eaten with the many dipping sauces to cause a &quot;tantrum in the mouth.&quot;&nbsp;Emeril&nbsp;and Hugh both agree &#8211; it&#39;s a great idea, but the tempura failed.
	</div>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> calls <strong>John and Brooke</strong> and <strong>Micah and Lizzie</strong> to the judges&#39; table. <strong>Tom</strong> says, &quot;I think you guys did a great job, overall. The flavors were great, they were bold. The things that we asked for, you definitely delivered.&quot; <strong>Emeril</strong> tells Brooke and John everything was cooked perfectly, and he tells Lizzie and Micah that the&nbsp;jalape&ntilde;o was hot and delicious but not overpowering.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Emeril</strong> adds, &quot;People were raving about your dishes. Congratulations.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Hugh announces</strong> <strong>John and Brooke as the winners.</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke</strong> says, &quot;Winning doesn&#39;t suck. I guess, at the end of the day, our personalities do mesh very well.&quot; <strong>John</strong> says, &quot;I finally won. The third time&#39;s a charm.. but it would have been sweeter if I could have won alone.&quot; Ouch. Perhaps John <em>cannot</em> win alone&#8230; did he think about that?
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josie and Bart</strong> and <strong>Sheldon and Josh</strong> head to the judges&#39; table next. Obviosly, these two teams prepared the worst dishes at the party.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges focus on <strong>Josie</strong> and<strong> Bart</strong> first. An angered <strong>Tom</strong> says, &quot;How many times do you guys have to hear this? If something is properly season and something is bland &#8211; you put it together, you end up with bland. I don&#39;t understand this thought process at all. It makes me nuts.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	When the judges turn their attention to <strong>Josh</strong> and <strong>Sheldon</strong>, Josh pulls a C.J., asking the judges why the &quot;jalape&ntilde;o popper concession stand food&quot; was considered a win. Padma says, &quot;Like your dish, there were a lot of risky parts to it. But, in their case, none of those things went wrong. In your case, they did.&quot; Tom adds, &quot;The main part of your dish was a disaster.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-bart-vandaele-josie-smith-malave" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-106467" height="334" src="http://cdn3-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-bart-vandaele-josie-smith-malave.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-bart-vandaele-josie-smith-malave" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Tom refers to Bart and Josie&#39;s dish as Teriyaki Terrible and sends Bart home.</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	So, more <strong>Josie</strong>. <em>Yay. </em>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	About his elimination, <strong>Bart</strong> says, &quot;Seven years and counting, people don&#39;t send my food back for under seasoning. Josie talks to the judges and she puts on the Josie show &#8211; that&#39;s fine. Maybe I didn&#39;t push it enough and step out of my comfort zone. If I had more time, I would have done it different. I&#39;m very good. If people didn&#39;t like it, that&#39;s really, really their problem.&quot;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; DID BART DESERVE TO BE ELIMINATED? WHO WOULD YOU HAVE SENT HOME?</strong>

<p>
	Last week on<strong> <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank">Top Chef Seattle</a></strong>, the chefs prepared dishes for&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/13/top-chef-seattle-recap-5/" target="_blank"><strong>Anna Faris and Chris Pratt</strong></a>&#39;s homecoming party. While <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/brooke-williamson/" target="_blank"><strong>Brooke Williamson</strong></a>&nbsp;scored a double win, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/eliza-gavin/" target="_blank"><strong>Eliza Gavin</strong></a> was eliminated.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a>&nbsp;introduces this week&#39;s guest judge to the eleven remaining contestants,&nbsp;season four winner&nbsp;<strong>Stephanie Izard</strong>. Stephanie is the only woman to ever win <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef</strong></a>.&nbsp;
</p>
<div>
	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge:&nbsp;The chefs may cook whatever they like but every ingredient in the kitchen is wrapped in Reynolds Wrap (shameless product placement). The chefs blindly choose their ingredients. If they unwrap it, they must use it. Also, foil is the only cooking vessel that they are allowed to use.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyele McPherson</strong>&nbsp;- cannellini bean stew with bacon asiago cheese, and tomatillo. While Danyele was thrown off by the tomatillo, Stephanie thinks it improved the dish.&nbsp;<strong>Micah Fields</strong>&nbsp;- grilled lamb with tomato fennel panzanella. The lamb is rare. Stefan &#8211; hot smoked salmon with german potato salad served with champagne.&nbsp;<strong>John Tesar</strong>&nbsp;- beed egg drop soup with braised pineapple. Stephanie likes the pineapple and the beef combination.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke</strong>&nbsp;- bacon roasted yams with bacon, onion, and apple salad. The raw onion nearly kills Padma.&nbsp;<strong>Josh Valentine</strong>&nbsp;- roasted chicken with potatoes, poblano, tomatillo, and carrots. Stephanie appreciates the small hint of heat.&nbsp;<b>&nbsp;Kristen Kish</b>&nbsp;- almond and chocolate sponge cake. Not only did Kristen mix the ingredients in a foil bowl but she also baked the cake in a foil pan. The texture of the cake is great. Kristen continues to impress me.&nbsp;

</p>
<div>
	<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong> &#8211; beer poached cod with a butter beer sauce. Bart loves the &quot;fun and games&quot; that is Top Chef. Did Bart seriously just mold his Reynolds Wrap (plug!) on his head and then throw food into the makeshift bowl? GROSS. Stephanie tells Bart that the fish is <strike>hairy</strike> cooked beautifully. I guess what Stephane doesn&#39;t know won&#39;t kill her.&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> &#8211; lemongrass smoked scallops with tomato and shallot salad.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	At the end of the challenge, <strong>Stephanie</strong> cannot forgive <strong>Micah</strong>&#39;s raw lamb, <strong>Brooke</strong>&#39;s under seasoned yams, and <strong>Josh</strong>&#39;s lack of creativity. Micah raises his eyebrows and says &quot;wow&quot; to himself. His constant stink face is getting old. Note to Micah: You&#39;re not as awesome as you think you are. Get over it.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Stephanie thinks<strong>&nbsp;Sheldon</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, <strong>Bart</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, and <strong>Danyele</strong> all did well, but she decides that Danyele, Kristen, and Sheldon created the best dishes. Stephanie thinks Danyele&#39;s stew was pleasantly simple and Sheldon&#39;s scallops were delicious&#8230; but<strong> she&nbsp;gives the win to Kristen.&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The cheftestants are off to Remlinger Farms Berry Festival for head-to-head berry battles. <strong>Josh</strong> wrestled in high school, so he (somehow) thinks he has an advantage. Since <strong>Kristen</strong> won immunity in the Quickfire challenge, she will not go head-to-head with another chef. Still, Kristen will cook and compete for the $10,000 prize.&nbsp;The chefs who made the best Quickfire dishes &#8211; <strong>Sheldon</strong>,<strong> Danyele</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, and <strong>Bart</strong> &#8211; get to choose their battle partners.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong>, <strong>Stephanie</strong>,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>, and <strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/gail-simmons/" target="_blank">Gail Simmons</a>&nbsp;</strong>will &quot;dish&quot; about the specifics of each dish, but the&nbsp;150 berry festival guests will decide the winners of the head-to-head challenge.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-danyele-mcpherson" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-105335" height="334" src="http://cdn2-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-danyele-mcpherson.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-danyele-mcpherson" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Berry Battle Teams and Their Berries:</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Sheldon vs. Micah &#8211; Strawberries
</div>
<div>
	Danyele vs. Josh &#8211; Blueberries&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Stefan vs. John &#8211; Gooseberries
</div>
<div>
	Josie vs. Lizzie &#8211; Raspberries
</div>
<div>
	Bart vs. Brooke &#8211; Blackberries&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Kristen vs. Nobody/Everybody &#8211; Tayberries
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	While at the market, <strong>John</strong> spies <strong>Stefan</strong> buying frozen tuna, and all hell breaks lose. Stefan defends his choice of&nbsp;saku block tuna, stating that it&#39;s the best grade of tuna in Japan, but John complains about the frozen fish all the way to infinity and beyond.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Then, once the chefs get to the farm, <strong>Danyele</strong>&nbsp;whines about the lack of cooking space and <strong>Bart</strong> and <strong>John</strong> fight over a blender. Bart says to John, &quot;Do I hear it blending? Noooooo.&quot; To us, Bart says, &quot;He&#39;s just a little bit selfish. You can&#39;t prepare for guys like that. A jackass is a jackass.&quot; Aww. Poor John is having issues blending and measuring because everyone is whining. Wait, what? Did somebody say something about frozen tuna? Right on cue, <strong>Josh</strong>&#39;s blender throws up all over John&#39;s face. Funny stuff.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	We learn that <strong>Micah</strong> named his daughters Sage and Saffron because they sound less like stripperish than Cayenne and Cinnamon do.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<a href="http://Reality TV Stars’ Week In Photos – December 19th" target="_blank"><strong>Reality TV Stars&rsquo; Week In Photos &ndash; December 19th</strong></a>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyele</strong>&#39;s chicken pine nut terrine with a blueberry mostarda vs.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&#39;s savory goat cheese mousse with blueberry compote &#8211; While Tom thinks Danyele&#39;s terrine is too rubbery, he loves Josh&#39;s blueberries.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josie</strong>&#39;s rock and raspberry roll: sockeye salmon, dungeness crab, and raspberry aioli vs. <strong>Lizzie</strong>&#39;s&nbsp;raspberry steamed cabbage roll with heritage pork and bacon stuffing &#8211; Josie doesn&#39;t have her dish plated when the judges approach her stand&#8230; so she talks endlessly about nothing, prompting Gail to ask Tom if Josie is high. Padma and Stephanie love Lizzie&#39;s pork, but Tom thinks it&#39;s under seasoned. Gail thinks Josie&#39;s dish didn&#39;t have enough raspberry flavor.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong>&#39;s ah&iacute; summer roll: ahi poke, strawberries and sweet chili sauce vs.&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong>&#39;s&nbsp;strawberry fried chicken with strawberry and bacon biscuit &#8211; Micah&#39;s chicken is good but the buscuit is too dense. Gail feels as if Sheldon did a great job of highlighting the strawberries.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-judges" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-105333" height="334" src="http://cdn2-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-judges.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-judges" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John</strong>&#39;s white gazpacho with Spanish chorizo, gooseberries, and sweet grapes vs.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong>&#39;s cali crudo with radishes, gooseberries, and spiced vinaigrette &#8211; Gail loves Stefan&#39;s dish, overall, but she doesn&#39;t think there&#39;s enough gooseberries. Padma thinks John&#39;s dish is too busy, and Stephanie says the chorizo overpowers the dish.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke</strong>&#39;s spicy smoked chocolate pudding with blackberry tapioca vs.&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong>&#39;s blackberry soup with salmon and rhubarb yogurt &#8211; Bart&#39;s soup is delicious despite the bland salmon. Brooke&#39;s dessert is a big hit.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kristen</strong> &#8211; matcha goat milk custard with macerated tayberries. Kristen&#39;s macerated tayberries were Stephanie&#39;s favorite &quot;dish&quot; of the day. Tom and the berry festival guests love it, too.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	When&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong>&#39;s votes start to roll in,&nbsp;<strong>John</strong>&nbsp;gets bitter and yells stuff like &quot;rest easy tonight knowing you voted for frozen tuna&quot; at the guests. Like the berry guests really care? Stefan tells us John&#39;s soup was so bad he wouldn&#39;t even flush his poop with it.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/12/top-10-reality-tv-stars-products-of-2012/" target="_blank"><strong>Top 10 Reality TV Products Of 2012!</strong></a>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	In the stew room, <strong>Josie</strong> is still running her mouth and annoying <strike>me</strike> the other chefs. <strong>Josh</strong> remarks, &quot;It hurts my soul when Josie laughs. A little of me dies every time.&quot; But, even more annoying than Josie&#39;s talking/laughing is the fact that <strong>John</strong> and <strong>Stefan</strong> are still arguing about the frozen tuna. To prove a point, Stefan polls the other chefs, who all admit to using the frozen tuna. This prompts Stefan to tell John to &quot;suck his ****.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> enters the room, requesting to see <strong>John</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, <strong>Bart,</strong> <strong>Micah</strong>, and <strong>Danielle</strong> at the judges&#39; table. Padma tells these five chefs that they are the losers&#8230; based on the guests votes AND the judges&#39; decision. Micah admits that Sheldon&#39;s flavors popped. <strong>Tom</strong> says that Josie&#39;s dish was too heavy.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Gail</strong> breaks the news to <strong>Bart</strong>: his (otherwise delicious) soup was ruined by the salmon. <strong>Tom</strong> tells <strong>Danyele</strong> that she continuously starts with a great concept&#8230;. but stops halfway. <strong>Padma</strong> asks <strong>John</strong> if he&#39;s surprised to be part of the loser club, and he admits that he thought he represented the gooseberries well enough. The judges all tell him that the chorizo was too much.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-stefan-richter" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-105341" height="334" src="http://cdn2-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-stefan-richter.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-kristen-kish-stefan-richter" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The winners of the head-to-head berry battle &#8211; <strong>Sheldon</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>,<strong> Lizzie</strong>,<strong> Brooke</strong>, and<strong> Josh</strong> &#8211; are called to the judges&#39; table. <strong>Kristen</strong> joins them.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stephanie</strong> says the winning dish was unique and flawless and highlighted the berries. <strong>And the winner is&#8230; Kristen!</strong> <strong>Again!&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Next, the <strong>judges eliminate Danyele. </strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Bummer. I was hoping it&#39;d be Josie.<strong> </strong><strong>Tom</strong> tells<strong> Danyele</strong>, &quot;The blueberry mostarda wasn&#39;t really mostarda. The chicken was rubbery. I love the idea but it just never really came together for you.&quot; Danyele tells us that she&#39;s ready to go. <em>That&#39;s the attitude!</em>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	On the way out, <strong>Josie</strong> and <strong>Stefan</strong> yell and swear at each other. They&#39;re basically arguing about who is a bigger jerk. Josie tells Stefan that he&#39;s acting like a 3 year old, trying to get the last word, and&nbsp;Stefan is all like, <em>Oh whatever. You just skated by one more time.</em>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; WAS THE RIGHT PERSON ELIMINATED? WHO ARE YOU ROOTING FOR?&nbsp;</strong>

	Last week on <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a>, the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/06/top-chef-seattle-recap/" target="_blank">unusual ingredient dishes</a>&nbsp;were so disgusting that head judge <strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank">Tom Collichio</a></strong>&nbsp;refused to give any of the chefs the $10,000 prize. As a result, several chefs were knocked off their pedestals and a few egos were bruised.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	Newcomer <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tyler-wiard/" target="_blank"><strong>Tyler Wiard</strong></a> and returning chef <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/c-j-jacobsen/" target="_blank"><strong>C.J. Jacobsen</strong></a> were sent home for being the worst of the worst. While Tyler went out as humble as ever, C.J.&#39;s whiny ways didn&#39;t do him any favors.&nbsp;
</p>

	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a>&nbsp;and <strong>Marilyn Hagerty</strong>, food writer for the Grand Forks Herald, introduce this week&#39;s Quickfire Challenge. Marilyn has been writing about middle-American restaurants for 30&nbsp;years. About her career, Marilyn says, &quot;It&#39;s been a hoot.&quot; <em>Too cute!</em> One day, I hope to look back on my career and say it&#39;s been a hoot. <img src='http://www.realitytea.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> &nbsp;

	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: each chef must create a sweet and savory holiday dish reflecting his or her cultural heritage. The cheftestants have only 30 minutes and must share one knife.&nbsp;The twisty mustache gets first dibs on the knife, so the other chefs get creative with graters, meat slicers, spatulas, pizza cutters, and busted scissors.&nbsp;

<div>
	<strong>Josh Valentine</strong> &#8211; Johnnycake with bacon, cheddar, chili compound butter, and sous vide egg. Marilyn says, &quot;The little sweetness is good.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Danyele McPherson</strong> &nbsp;- bread pudding with ham, raisins, and pecans. Marilyn tells Danyele, &quot;Leftover ham never tasted this good.&quot; <strong>Lizzie Binder</strong> &#8211; Bobotie with ground lamb, egg custard, and roasted apricots.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> &#8211; banana lumpia with peanut butter mousse, coconut, and pineapple. Padma calls it &quot;sophisticated.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Micah Fields</strong> &#8211; pineapple and pork tamale with charred tomato and tomatillo salsa.&nbsp;<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong> &#8211; waffles with celery three ways, apple puree, chicken, and prosciutto.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong> &#8211; apple crostata with cheddar cheese, candied pine nuts, and apple salad. Padma says, &quot;It tastes very homey.&quot; Brooke doesn&#39;t take &quot;homey&quot; as a compliment.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan Richter</strong> &#8211; smoked salmon tartare, potate latkes with sour cream and chives. We learn that Stefan has married the same woman twice, and Marilyn quips, &quot;That doesn&#39;t show a lot of imagination.&quot;&nbsp;

<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josie Malave</strong> &#8211; Tamale with habanero masa, mangos, and papaya. &quot;Nice combination of tastes,&quot; says Marilyn.&nbsp;<strong>John Tesar</strong> &#8211; Bondino of Parmesan-Reggiano, figs and apricots in port wine and Truvia caramel. We learn that Marilyn likes her port wine.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza Gavin</strong>&nbsp;- Hush puppies two ways: shrimp and sweet potato, sausage and corn. Marilyn says it tastes good despite not enough sweetness.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Overall, <strong>Marilyn</strong> says the dishes were an &quot;amazing display of creativity.&quot; But, of course, some weren&#39;t so fantastic. Marilyn tells <strong>Bart</strong> that there were too many different things going on with his waffle. <strong>Micah</strong> is shocked to hear Marilyn call his tamale a (dry) taco. Dude needs to chill. He looks like he wants to cut throats with that one knife.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	On the flip side, Marilyn likes <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, and <strong>Brooke</strong>&#39;s dishes the best. She says: Josh&#39;s basic dessert was appealing, Stefan&#39;s dish was attractive and tasty, and Brooke took her apple pie to another level. In the end, <strong>Brooke&#39;s &quot;homey&quot; apple pie wins, so she get immunity.&nbsp;</strong>

	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Married couple (and actors) <strong>Anna Faris</strong> (<em>Scary Movie</em>) and <strong>Chris Pratt</strong> (<em>Parks and Recreation</em>) join<strong> Padma</strong> in the kitchen. The chefs will cook the food for their upcoming welcome home party at&nbsp;Chihuly Garden and Glass Cafe. The&nbsp;winner of this challenge wins a Toyota Prius. Unless they all suck again.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The judges are <strong>Anna</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Chris</strong>, <strong>Padma</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Tom</strong>,&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/gail-simmons/" target="_blank">Gail Simmons</a></strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Rick Moonen</strong> of RM Seafood.&nbsp;Coincidentally, Rick is <strong>Dallas John</strong>&#39;s boss.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	There is a massive shortage of drama this week! Instead, I&#39;ll share a few observations: <strong>John</strong> is door-challenged.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> and <strong>Stefan</strong> are BFFs and share a <strong>Top Chef</strong> good luck charm.<em>&nbsp;</em>Aww, that&#39;s cute!
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Do you know what isn&#39;t cute? <strong>Danyele</strong>&#39;s eyeliner. The girl needs to lay off the extra-thick Sharpie. When Danyele seeks sympathy for her atrocious <strike>eyeliner</strike> meat, <strong>Josh</strong> is all like, <em>So sad, but&nbsp;I&#39;m not here pet your hair and sing you Soft Kitty to make you feel better. I&#39;m here to win. </em>For a split second, I love Josh, but then I remember his favorite mode of transportation is the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/06/top-chef-seattle-recap/" target="_blank">douche canoe</a>. However, if <strong>Micah</strong> doesn&#39;t calm the hell down soon, he&#39;ll be my newest most hated cheftestant.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong>&nbsp;- braised Okinawan pork belly with seared scallop and rice congee. Anna says, &quot;I felt like every bite was a surprise.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong> &#8211; loin of elk with cherry beer sauce and mushroom couscous. Padma and Chris are both impressed with Bart&#39;s dish. Rick says, &quot;It could use a touch of salt, but other than that it&#39;s tender and delicious.&quot; Chris adds, &quot;If this isn&#39;t a front-runner, this is going to be the best f-ing night of my life.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong>&nbsp;- German gulasch with marjoram bread dumplings and sour cream. Padma thinks the gulasch is rich and delicious.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/10/lindsay-lohan-bails-on-bravo-after-they-fork-out-200000-on-her-episode-of-million-dollar-decorators/" target="_blank">Bravo Wastes $200,000 On Lindsey Lohan</a></strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; lamb-stuffed squid on black rice with coconut milk. Nearly in unison, they all go, &quot;Whoa.&quot; Chris&#39;s eye go wide and he says, &quot;It&#39;s got every flavor!&quot; Tom gives Brooke kudos for being ballsy. Rick agrees with Tom. <strong>Kristen</strong> &#8211; Delice de bourgogne tortelloni. Padma thinks the dried apricots and the cream cheese go really well together. Rick says, &quot;I think it&#39;s a perfect bite. I couldn&#39;t wait to go back for another one.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong> &#8211; braised pork ribs with celery root puree, grilled apples and celery leaf salad. The general consensus is that there is too much cream. Rick adds that some of the components don&#39;t add anything to the dish.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong>&nbsp;- crusted wild king salmon with radish and beet salad. Gail isn&#39;t impressed with Lizzie&#39;s dish.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong>&nbsp;- Elk ribeye with elk sausage polenta, spiced carrots, and huckleberry port sauce. Tom says it&#39;s a really bland dish.&nbsp;<strong>Danyele</strong> &#8211; pan-roasted wild boar, hoppin&#39; john and tomato-bacon marmalade. Tom says, &quot;It&#39;s sliced so thin that you can&#39;t even chew it.&quot; Gail adds, &quot;I thought it was totally bland and cooked unevenly.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josh</strong> &#8211; roasted pork shoulder and grilled corn puree with succotash and fennel apple salad. Everyone agrees that Josh&#39;s dish needs more seasoning.&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong> &#8211; Malbec braised short ribs, pork belly, polenta with cippolini onions and figs. Rich says that Josie&#39;s dish sounds better than it tastes.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong> &#8211; seafood chowder with cockles, Manila clams, crab, mussels, and sockeye salmon. Anna shares, &quot;John&#39;s chowder really is everything I crave when I&#39;m not in Seattle.&quot; Padma adds, &quot;Every component of this chowder is cooked beautifully.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&quot;This is clearly head and shoulders above what we had in the last challenge,&quot; says <strong>Tom</strong>. Sounds like someone is getting a new car (albeit a tiny one)!&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-103717" height="327" src="http://cdn1-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-eliza-gavin-brooke-williamson.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-eliza-gavin-brooke-williamson" width="492" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> calls <strong>John</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>,<strong> Brooke</strong>, and <strong>Sheldon</strong> to the judges&#39; table&#8230; they prepared the best dishes of the night!&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> asks <strong>Brooke</strong> if she took a risk because she had immunity. Brooke says, &quot;I did. Since I&#39;ve been here, I&#39;ve been holding back a little bit out of the fear of doing something a little bit out of the box and getting yelled at for it.&quot; <strong>Tom</strong> assures Brooke that if she continues to cook like this, nobody is going to yell at her.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Rick</strong> compliments<strong> </strong>John&#39;s chowder; <strong>John</strong>&nbsp;looks proud. <strong>Kristen</strong>&#39;s combination of dried fruit and cream cheese earns her a job well done.&nbsp;<strong>Padma</strong> tells <strong>Sheldon</strong> that his dish was full of soul.&nbsp;Rick announces <strong>Brooke</strong> as the winner, adding that she &quot;showed a little bit more creativity and a real balance of flavors.&quot;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke wins the Toyota Prius.&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Out with the good and in with the bad:&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong>, <strong>Eliza</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, <strong>Josh</strong>, and <strong>Danyele</strong>. Tom explains, &quot;There were a lot of good dishes tonight. I don&#39;t think your dishes were <em>bad</em> dishes, but there are definitely some solid reason why all of you are here.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Rick</strong> tells <strong>Micah</strong> that his celery root was too grainy. <strong>Pamda</strong> suggests to <strong>Josh</strong>, <em>stop boasting that you&#39;re known for your pork because your pork sucks.</em> (Well, she was a little nicer about it.) <strong>Tom</strong> addresses<strong> Eliza</strong> next, saying, &quot;The elk was unevenly cooked and the carrots were kind of dried out and didn&#39;t have much flavor.&quot; <strong>Danyele</strong> goes on too long about how uncomfortable she is in the competition. Tom tells her stop second guessing herself.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Eliza is sent home.&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	While the fighting and gimmicky challenges get old after a while, a tiny bit of drama/personality is needed <strike>to keep me awake</strike>. Thank goodness for <strong>Chris</strong> and <strong>Anna </strong>this week,&nbsp;because the rest of the episode was slightly boring.<b>&nbsp;</b>Chris and Anna seem like a&nbsp;lovely Hollywood couple&#8230; and funny too!&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; SEEMS LIKE THE WINNERS AND THE LOSERS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHO DO YOU THINK ARE THE FRONT RUNNERS?&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;

<div>
	<strong>Chris</strong> and<strong> Anna </strong>poke fun at the<strong>&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/category/the-bachelorette/" target="_blank">Bachelorette</a></strong>

</p>
<p>
	Immediately following last week&#39;s elimination, the fourteen remaining cheftestants soak in the &quot;Carla&#39;s gone&quot; silence,&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;whines because he sucks, and <strong>Stefan Richter</strong>&nbsp;worries about the season five birthday curse.&nbsp;&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Tyler</strong>&nbsp;laments, &quot;Being on top today doesn&#39;t mean shit. I better continue to do the best I can, because, tomorrow, I could be gone.&quot; So goes the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a>&nbsp;kiss of death&#8230;&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/08/top-chef-seattle-recap-the-ultimate-chef-test/" target="_blank">Jeffrey Jew excelled</a> in week one and was eliminated in week two. <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/15/top-chef-seattle-recap-4/" target="_blank">Kuniko Yagi won</a> the elimination challenge in week two and was eliminated in week three. <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/22/top-chef-seattle-recap-2/" target="_blank">Carla Pellegrino won</a> the elimination challenge in week three and was eliminated in week four. Last week, <strong>Lizzie Binder</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, <strong>Tyler</strong>, and <strong>Stefan</strong>&nbsp;served the best dishes. As I mentioned above, Kristen rocked the mushrooms and took the prize for the week. &nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	So, what does all of this mean? I have no idea. <img src='http://www.realitytea.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> &nbsp;Will <strong>Kristen</strong> break the curse? Does <strong>Tyler</strong> have a reason to be worried? Will <strong>Stefan</strong>&nbsp;lose because it&#39;s his birthday? Will <strong>John</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong> keep away from each other this week? Let&#39;s find out!

	<strong>Quickfire Challenge&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	At the butt crack of dawn, the cheftestants meet up with <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma Lakshmi</strong></a>&nbsp;and<strong> Daisley Gordon</strong>,&nbsp;Chef Partner at Seattle&#39;s March&eacute;,<strong>&nbsp;</strong>in Pike Place Market.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: Prepare breakfast-to-go&#8230; on a stick&#8230; for the vendors at Pike&#39;s Place. They have one hour to shop for cooking supplies, set up their kitchen, and cook.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> asks the group to divide themselves into teams of two. Probably because nobody else wants to be near them, <strong>Josh</strong> and <strong>John</strong> become a team. They built that douchecanoe together, now they must share it for the rest of time.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong> goes Chefs Gone Wild, with savory and sweet on one stick. <strong>Eliza Gavin</strong> is stoked about this challenge, because it brings back the good ol&#39; days of selling vegan sushi out of a van. <em>Vegan sushi prepared in the back of a van sounds gross.</em>&nbsp;While shopping, <strong>Bart</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Vandaele</strong> plows over <strong>C.J.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Jacobson</strong> to get what he needs. <strong>Stefan</strong> says his panties are in a bunch, adding, &quot;We have to make food for 50 people on freaking stick &#8230; That&#39;s too many people.&quot;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>C.J.</strong> decides salmon on a stick is a good idea. Blech. I hate anything fishy; but, salmon for breakfast makes me rethink<strong>&nbsp;Eliza</strong>&#39;s dirty VW peace van (in my mind) fake fish eggs. <strong>Josie Malave</strong> pulls her &quot;I&#39;ve been here, done this and I&#39;m better than you&quot; attitude on <strong>Eliza</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong>&nbsp;destroy their Panini press.&nbsp;Shockingly, compared to a few other teams, <strong>John</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong> seem to work well together.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/12/04/shahs-of-sunset-season-2-premiere-ratings-highest-ever-theres-only-room-for-one-persian-barbie/" target="_blank"><strong>Bravo&#39;s Shahs of Sunset Season Two Brings In Huge Ratings</strong></a>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong> (red) &#8211; chilaquiles: tortilla, salsa, quail egg, avocado-heirloom tomato relish. Padma likes the flavor.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong> and <strong>Josie</strong> (green) &#8211; ricotta, raspberry, and sausage pancake with Jalapeno maple syrup. Their breakfast is hanging onto its stick for dear life&#8230; oops&#8230; Padma loses her pancake.&nbsp;Daisley says it&#39;s a dessert/breakfast combo. I&#39;m not sure if that is meant to be a good thing or a bad thing. Personally, I love to eat birthday cake for breakfast, but I have a feeling the culinary world would frown on that.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Micah</strong> and<strong> Kristen&nbsp;</strong>(black) &nbsp;- bacon and cinnamon waffle, pecan maple syrup, boysenberry and strawberry jam. While it sounds delicious, it looks messy. It&#39;s definitely not stick friendly. No comments from the judges.&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong> and <strong>Tyler</strong> (grey) &#8211; salmon and cream cheese crepe. Padma is pleasantly surprised by the combo. C.J. obnoxiously begs for a win.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Bart </strong>and <strong>Sheldon</strong> (orange) &#8211; green forest breakfast sandwich: eggs, cheese, pancetta, bacon, and spinach. Daisley enjoys the flavor combination.&nbsp;<strong>Danyele</strong> and<strong> Lizzie</strong> (blue) &#8211; summer berries with crispy pancetta.&nbsp;Daisley says the berries are delicious. <em>Skewered berries? That&#39;s it?</em>&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> and<strong> Stefan</strong> (yellow) &#8211; croque monsieur: presses hem and cheese sandwich with toasted fig. Looks like a miniature wavy ham sandwich. No comments from the judges.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The Quickfire losers are&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie and Danyele</strong>, who barely put any effort into their dish, and <strong>Josie and Eliza</strong>, whose falling pancakes were too hard to eat and too sweet.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Daisley</strong>&nbsp;gives props to <strong>Bart and Sheldon</strong> and <strong>Josh and John</strong>. He says that Bart and Sheldon&#39;s breakfast sandwich was well-executed and easy to eat and Josh and John&#39;s mini tacos were a great concept and well-seasoned. Despite the broken Panini press,&nbsp;<strong>Bart and Sheldon win the Quickfire challenge</strong>. I like them, they&#39;re cute. The win immunity.

	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: Staying in the same teams, create a dish using (assigned) <strong><span style="color:#008080;"><em>unusual ingredients</em></span></strong>. The judges will be&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/gail-simmons/" target="_blank"><strong>Gail Simmons</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/hugh-acheson/" target="_blank"><strong>Hugh Acheson</strong></a>, and <strong>Daisley</strong>. The artisans who hand-crafted the unusual ingredients will also taste the dishes.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The teams scramble to begin, as they only have two hours to prepare their dish. <strong>C.J</strong>. and <strong>Tyler</strong> are assigned spicy pickles. Tyler wants to prepare a potato oyster chowder with a pickle fritter, and C.J.&#39;s brilliant idea is to put pickles on top of a burger. Tyler thinks C.J.&#39;s idea is too simple, but he doesn&#39;t push the issue. After all, C.J. is a <strong>Top Chef</strong> <strike>loser</strike> veteran. This time around, <strong>John</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong> are not on the same page. Josh thinks the grits are too thick; John worries the pork is overcooked. <strong>Sheldon</strong> says that he and <strong>Bart</strong> are going &quot;balls to the wall&quot; since they have immunity.&nbsp;Back to pickled-topped burger&#8230; <strong>C.J.</strong> thinks it&#39;ll impress judge Tom.<strong> Eliza </strong>lets <strong>Josie </strong>walk all over her.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josh and John</strong> &#8211; pan-seared pork tenderloin with <span style="color:#008080;"><strong><em>truffle popcorn</em></strong></span> grits. Hugh says, &quot;Those grits suck.&quot; Daisley thinks the dish lacks imagination.&nbsp;Tom calls it a gloppy mess.&nbsp;<strong>Micah and Kristen</strong> &#8211; <span style="color: rgb(0, 128, 128);"><em><strong>cheese curds</strong></em></span> three ways: b&eacute;chamel, raw, and fried. Padma couldn&#39;t identify the cheese&#8230; and she <em>loves cheese</em>.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan and Brooke</strong> &#8211; <span style="color: rgb(0, 128, 128);"><strong><em>rose petal jelly</em></strong></span> glazed muscovy duck with braised cabbage. While Daisley and Hugh think the duck is tough, Gail and Tom think it&#39;s too sweet.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon and Bart</strong> -<span style="color: rgb(0, 128, 128);"><strong> <em>candied salmon</em></strong></span> with sweet and sour salad. All agree that it&#39;s lacking candy salmon.&nbsp;<strong>Josie and Eliza</strong> &#8211; curry <span style="color: rgb(0, 128, 128);"><strong><em>cardamom bitter</em></strong></span> broth with manila clams and seared white king salmon. Gail thinks it has a great flavor, albeit too salty. Hugh says the dish isn&#39;t doing anything for him.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie and Danyele</strong> &#8211; <span style="color:#008080;"><strong><em>coconut curry chocolate</em></strong></span> mouse tart. Tom says it&#39;s poorly assembled. The tart is Gail&#39;s least favorite dish.&nbsp;<strong>C.J. and Tyler</strong> &#8211; pork crumpet burger with<span style="color: rgb(0, 128, 128);"><strong> <em>spicy dill pickles</em></strong></span>. I don&#39;t think Tom is impressed by C.J. genius. He sneers, &quot;You couldn&#39;t think of a better thing to do with pickles than put them on a burger?! How freaking original!&quot;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
<div>
		The judges are angry.&nbsp;<strong>Hugh</strong>&nbsp;says he expects more.&nbsp;<strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;says, &quot;They&#39;re all so bad&#8230; not a good day for&nbsp;<strong>Top Chef</strong>.&quot; How embarrassing&#8230;<strong>&nbsp;Padma</strong>&nbsp;apologizes to the Seattle locals.&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;addresses the group, saying, &quot;Overall, we were really disappointed today. The food wasn&#39;t up to par. These dishes showed a lack of imagination and technique. We are not going to award a win for this. The $10,000 is off the table, and we&#39;re sending an entire team home tomorrow.&quot;&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
<div>
			The tension is thick.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong>&nbsp;blames&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>. He says, &quot;It really was the worst plate of food I&#39;ve put out in 30 years. I know Josh has been on the bottom a couple of times, and I don&#39;t want to go home because of Josh.&quot; Facing the possibility of being eliminated,&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong>&nbsp;says, &quot;I would feel like a total absolute failure bitch.&quot;
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>Tyler</strong>&nbsp;says, &quot;<strike>Oh bother.</strike>&nbsp;If [elimination] happens tomorrow for me and C.J., it happens for me and C.J. I guess we just weren&#8217;t as creative as [the judges] wanted.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;flips out, saying to Tyler, &quot;What the f**k are you talking about? I don&#39;t think anybody should just say &#39;okay, it&#39;s my time to go.&#39;&quot; Tyler says, &quot;I&#39;m sorry. I apologize, Josh.&quot; Josh adds, &quot;What a f-ing idiot.&quot; Where&#39;s his douchecanoe? It&#39;s time for him to take it home. I can&#39;t stand his twisty mustache and piss-poor attitude.
		</div>
<div>

			<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-101647" height="334" src="http://cdn3-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/12/top-chef-seattle-cj-jacobson-tyler-wiard.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-cj-jacobson-tyler-wiard" width="500" />
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>Padma</strong>&nbsp;calls the red team (<strong>Josh and John</strong>), yellow team (<strong>Stefan and Brooke</strong>), and grey team (<strong>C.J. and Tyler</strong>) to the judges&#39; table.
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>C.J.</strong> defends the integrity&nbsp;of the pickle.<strong> Tom</strong> says, &quot;It never crossed your mind&#8230; not what goes <em>with</em> pickle but what can we <em>make</em> with a pickle?&quot;&nbsp;Tom calls out <strong>John</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong>, saying their food was what you&#39;d expect from someone who doesn&#39;t like cooking.&nbsp;<strong>Hugh</strong> says that <strong>Stefan</strong> and <strong>Brooke</strong> used so much rose petal jelly, it was like eating a grandmother. Overall, Tom is disappointed that no one fought to make his or her team&#39;s dish better. <strong>Gail</strong>&nbsp;wonders about the lack of artistry &#8211; no garnish, no presentation, etc.
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			On his way out, <strong>C.J.</strong> calls out <strong>Lizzi</strong> and <strong>Danyele</strong>&#39;s dessert, saying, &quot;That thing was an abhorrence. It was a debacle; it was diabolical; it was a travesty.&quot; <strong>Hugh</strong> quips, &quot;Uh oh, because your burger was even worse. Sorry, dude.&quot;&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>Hugh</strong> hated&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Tyler</strong>&#39;s the burger the most. <strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;didn&#39;t like <strong>Josh and John</strong>&#39;s pork dish. <strong>Padma</strong>&#39;s vote for the worst dish goes to <strong>Stefan and Brooke</strong>&#39;s rose petal disaster.&nbsp;<strong>Gail</strong>&nbsp;hated the burger the most; therefore,<strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>C.J. and Tyler are eliminated.&nbsp;</strong>
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>C.J.</strong> says, &quot;I&#39;m mortified that I got kicked off this early, on a team challenge, which is particularly frustrating. I don&#39;t think I was judged fairly. I will be pretty pissed off for awhile about that.&quot; <strong>Tyler</strong> shares, &quot;I feel I have grown a lot as a chef in a short period of time.&quot; I&#39;m going to miss Tyler.&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			&nbsp;
		</div>
<div>
			<strong>TELL US &#8211; YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS EPISODE? WERE YOU SURPRISED TO SEE TYLER AND C.J. GO HOME?</strong>

	This week&#39;s &quot;throwback&quot; episode of&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a><strong>&nbsp;</strong>brings us drama, beef, a pair of pissed off glasses, a foot rub, a tightly wound mustache, mushrooms, and a double elimination.
</p>
<p>
	Immediately following <strong>Kuniko </strong><strong>Yagi</strong>&#39;s&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/22/top-chef-seattle-recap-2/" target="_blank">Turkeypocalypse</a>&nbsp;</strong>elimination,<strong> John</strong> <strong>&quot;my forehead needs glasses&quot;</strong> <strong>Tesar</strong> disses Kuniko&#39;s raw potatoes. He says, &quot;You can do potatoes in your sleep as a chef.&quot; John&#39;s negativity puts everyone on the defense.
</p>
<p>
	<strong>C.J. Jacobso</strong>n is like, Dude, why you gotta do this while we&#39;re <strike>pretending to be</strike>&nbsp;sad about Kuniko going home? <strong>John</strong> is like, She had five hours to taste those potatoes! And, by the way, you&#39;re full of s**t right now.&nbsp;Feeling left out in Seattle, <strong>Josh &quot;my mustache is twisty&quot; Valentine</strong>&nbsp;tells John that he doesn&#39;t have any tact, and then this happens:
</p>
<p>
	Glasses: And Oklahoma has a lot of tact?
</p>
<div>
	Mustache: You&rsquo;re an a**hole.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Glasses: Thank you.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Mustache: Don&rsquo;t f***ing say another word to me. There&rsquo;s a reason you&rsquo;re the most hated chef. It&rsquo;s cause you&rsquo;re a prigg. (<i>does he say prigg or prick?)</i>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Glasses: I&rsquo;m not a prick. (Ah, <em>prigg</em>&nbsp;is Oklahoman for <em>prick..</em> <em>filing that away for future reference</em>. John and Josh fail Communication 101.) I&rsquo;m truthful.

		Mustache: How many restaurants have you opened and failed? Walked away from? Not show up for events? &nbsp;That&rsquo;s why you&rsquo;re an a**hole.
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Glasses: What are you talking about, man? You&rsquo;re making up s**t up like a blogger. You&rsquo;re pretending to have balls, but you don&rsquo;t have balls.
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<em>What was that?</em>&nbsp;Obviously,&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&#39;s mustache is wound too tight and&nbsp;<strong>John</strong>&nbsp;lives up to his&nbsp;&quot;most hated chef in Dallas&quot; reputation.&nbsp;
	</div>

		<em>You like my twisty mustache?</em>

</div>
<div>
	The next morning, the chefs&#39; penthouse is full of tension.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan Richter</strong>&nbsp;says, &quot;I feel like the Real Housewives of Seattle.&quot; Cute name; however, I vote for Top Asshats of Seattle.&nbsp;Out of nowhere, Stefan and <strong>Kristen Kish</strong> are flirting. Stefan gives Kristen a foot rub. Are the chefs actually going to cook anything in this episode?
</div>
<div>

<div>
	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank">Padma Lakshmi</a>&nbsp;</strong>and&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-masters/" target="_blank">Top Chef Masters</a>&#39;</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Naomi Pomeroy</strong>&nbsp;introduce the Quickfire challenge. The chefs have one hour to butcher a cut of beef and prepare a dish with it.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	While <strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong> attacks the beef &quot;like a madman,&quot; <strong>Josie Malave</strong> and <strong>Carla Pellegrino</strong>&nbsp;barely get the large piece of meat to the butcher&#39;s table. Despite several chefs&#39; extensive experience with meat,<strong> C.J. </strong>toots his own horn, saying he&#39;s the best chef in the kitchen. <strong>Tyler Wiard</strong> looks, sounds, and acts like Winnie the Pooh&#39;s Eeyore. He&#39;s like, I&#39;m in funk. My Thanksgiving gumbo was bad. Oh bother.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>, one of the meat experts, makes meatballs&#8230;&nbsp;<em>even I can make meatballs</em>! <strong>Carla</strong> gives <strong>Stefan</strong> a headache.&nbsp;

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Eliza Gavin</strong> &#8211; grilled flank steak with cherry cognac reduction, asparagus and potato cake. Padma says the asparagus and cherry combo is interesting.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong>&nbsp;- braised oxtail, potato gnocchi with roasted vegetables and celery. Naomi is impressed by the tenderness of John&#39;s meat. (For the sake of this &quot;classy show&quot; blog, I will be ignoring all the big meat, juicy meat, let me taste your meat jokes.)&nbsp;C.J. wrinkles up his nose at Naomi&#39;s compliment for John.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;- beef meatballs with creamy polenta and pickled shallots. Naomi likes the amount of acid.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong>&nbsp;- Kalbi round streak with tomato cardamom broth and fennel salad. Good flavors.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong> &#8211; grilled hangar steak with smoked onion figs and cauliflower puree. Hanger is Naomi&#39;s favorite. She thinks Brooke&#39;s is a little too rare.&nbsp;<strong>Tyler Ward</strong> &#8211; Hispanic crude with charred tomato sauce and cilantro radish slaw. Padma simply asks Eeyore how he prepared the meat. Oh bother. That&#39;s probably not a good sign.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong>&nbsp;- top sirloin tartare with mustard sabayon and carpaccio salad. Kristen admits that she took whatever meat she could get her hands on&#8230; and winged it from there.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Micah Fields</strong> &#8211; oxtail polenta with truffled Romanesco cauliflower. Great job.&nbsp;<strong>Carla </strong>- siroin medallion wrapped in bacon, Asiago risotto with Marsala sauce. Naomi says the sauce is nice.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong>&nbsp;- braised top round ravioli with marjoram and aged parmesan. Flavors are nice.&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong>&nbsp;- top round tartare, raw juniper and kohlrabi.&nbsp;More nice.&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy Camba</strong> &#8211; grilled hangar steak with brown butter, parsley and radish salad. Downward stares, no comments.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie Binder</strong> &#8211; braised fore shank with turnips and dill. Naomi tells Lizzie that the meat could have used more time in the cooker.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The Quickfire losers are <strong>Lizzie</strong>, <strong>Eliza</strong>, and <strong>Tyler</strong>. Lizzie&#39;s shank was too tough. Eliza&#39;s asparagus and cherry combo did not work. Naomi tells Tyler that his dish was under seasoned. Tyler eeyores, &quot;I can&#39;t do anything right.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Naomi decides that<strong> C.J.</strong>, <strong>John</strong>, and <strong>Josh</strong> served the best Quickfire dishes. C.J.&#39;s knife cuts were perfect. Naomi tells John that his sauce was lovely. And, last but not least, Josh&#39;s meatballs were great.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John wins the Quickfire challenge and earns immunity.</strong>

<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: Revive the original 1950 menu from Canlis restaurant.&nbsp;The winner of this challenge wins $10,000&#8230; and escapes the double elimination. Eeyore is like, Oh bother. A double elimination.&nbsp;<strong>Brian&nbsp;</strong>and<strong>&nbsp;Mark Canlis</strong>&nbsp;join&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>,<strong>&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/emeril-lagasse/" target="_blank">Emeril Lagasse</a></strong>,&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/hugh-acheson/" target="_blank"><strong>Hugh Acheson</strong></a>, and&nbsp;<strong>Naomi</strong>&nbsp;at the judges&#39; table.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stefan</strong> likes the challenge. About 1950&#39;s food, he says, &quot;There&#39;s no frou frou, no fraa fraa, no B.S.&quot; Stefan&nbsp;takes the lead, assigning the menu items. <strong>Kristen</strong> and <strong>Carla</strong> are both unhappy with their dishes. <strong>Danyelle</strong>&nbsp;<strong>McPherson </strong>and <strong>Eliza</strong> request desserts. <strong>John</strong>, <strong>Josh</strong>, and <strong>C.J.</strong> continue to butt heads.&nbsp;Stefan&#39;s advice to all, &quot;Be creative but don&#39;t go crazy pants.&quot;&nbsp;John reasons, he knows a lot about 1950&#39;s food because he ate food as a kid. Josh prepares French onion soup despite being from Oklahoma, where they eat bull testicles. Yuck.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Appetizers</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Tyler</strong> &#8211; fresh crab leg cocktail. Padma says it&#39;s great. Brian thinks Tyler nailed the &quot;time period.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> &#8211; marinated herring. Naomi says this is her favorite dish so far. Tom says the herring are nicely marinated.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> &#8211; French onion soup. Hugh says, &quot;There are some issues with Josh&#39;s soup&#8230; salty, cold.&quot; Mark says, &quot;It&#39;s not guest-friendly.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>John</strong> &#8211; steamed clams Bordelaise. Overall, very good.&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy</strong> &#8211; special Canlis salad.&nbsp;&nbsp;Emeril says the salad is so over dressed, the croutons are soggy. Padma and Hugh both think it needs more mint.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; seafood salad a la Louis. Hugh thinks&nbsp;Brooke&#39;s salad looks like something from a magazine back in the day.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Main Course</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong> &#8211; fresh Hawaiian mahi mahi. The Canlis brothers love the mahi mahi. Naomi says the sauce is nice. Tom points out a little bloodline left on the fish.&nbsp;<strong>Carla</strong> &#8211; whole milk-fed squab. Padma loves the sauce on the squab. Tom says it&#39;s not boned properly. Naomi thinks it&#39;s overcooked.&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong> &#8211; mixed vegetables. Hugh doesn&#39;t like Micah&#39;s veggies.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stefan</strong> &#8211; calf&#39;s liver and Kristen&#39;s French fried onions. The liver is nicely cooked and nicely seasoned. Kristen&#39;s onion rings are perfect.&nbsp;<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong> &#8211; double cut New York steak. Emeril says the steak is okay, seasoned well. Naomi takes issue with how it&#8217;s cut.&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong>&nbsp;- Gargantuan baked Idaho potato. Padma would have liked to see more oil on the skin of the potato.&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong> &#8211; shish kebab with pilaf. Hugh thinks C.J.&#39;s kebab is under seasoned, the lamb is mealy. Tom says it&#39;s soggy.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen</strong> &#8211; French mushrooms. The mushrooms are a big hit!
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Dessert</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyele</strong>&nbsp;- vanilla ice cream and Royal Hawaiian Supreme.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong> &#8211; mint sherbet and fresh frozen Hawaiian pineapple parfait.&nbsp;Overall, the judges find the desserts to be acceptable. While Naomi likes the Hawaiin Supreme the most, Mark prefers the vanilla ice cream.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>

<div>
	<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-99583" height="500" src="http://cdn2-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/11/top-chef-seattle-carla-pellegrino-chrissy-camba-kristen-kish.jpg" title="top-chef-seattle-carla-pellegrino-chrissy-camba-kristen-kish" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong>,<strong> Kristen</strong>,<strong>Tyler</strong>, and <strong>Stefan</strong> face the judges. Padma tells this group that they served the best dishes. Hugh compliments Tyler&#39;s crab, saying &quot;It was such a traditional, beautiful rendition of that crab.&quot; Lizzie&#39;s dish was well-balanced. Emeril tells Stefan that his liver was perfect. &nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kristen wins.&nbsp;</strong>Kristen says, &quot;Winning $10,000 for onions and mushrooms is a huge surprise. In the end, it proves that as long as I do it well, I don&#39;t need to over think what I do.&quot; Stefan is super happy for his crush Kristen.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	This week&#39;s bottom four are <strong>Carla</strong>, <strong>Chrissy</strong>, <strong>C.J.</strong>, and <strong>Josh</strong>.&nbsp;All of the judges agree that&nbsp;Josh&#39;s soup was way too salty.&nbsp;Tom also tells Josh that his soup was cold. Josh blames John, their &quot;monkey&quot;&nbsp;expediter.&nbsp;The Canlis brothers absolutely hate&nbsp;Chrissy&#39;s salad. Tom says it&#39;s missing lemon and mint. While Naomi thinks<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Carla&#39;s squab was unforgivable, Padma feels as if&nbsp;C.J.<strong>&#39;</strong>s lamb was the worst dish.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Carla</strong> admits she barely tasted her food, to make sure it was right, which annoys the judges. Tom tells<strong> C.J.</strong> that his dish was under seasoned. Emeril adds, &quot;It was very dry. I didn&#39;t get any of the marinade. The lemon juice, the oils, the herbs&#8230; I didn&#39;t get any of that stuff. I really didn&#39;t want to eat it.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
<div>
		<strong>Chrissy and Carla are both eliminated.&nbsp;</strong>
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Chrissy</strong> says, &quot;I can&#39;t get sent home on something as stupid as a salad. I know how to make a salad! It&#39;s very depressing.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Carla</strong> cries, &quot;It is a game that I wasn&#39;t playing. I&#39;m not good at games, I don&#39;t even play cards.&quot;
	</div>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Last Chance Kitchen:</strong>&nbsp;Eliminated chefs compete for a chance to get back into the competition.&nbsp;The winner of the final battle will re-enter the competition and compete for the <strong>Top Chef </strong>grand prize. The first episode of <strong>Last Chance Kitchen</strong>&nbsp;(shown on bravotv.com) features <strong>Jeffrey</strong>, <strong>Kuniko</strong>, <strong>Carly</strong>, and <strong>Chrissy</strong>.

<div>
	<strong>Observation:</strong>&nbsp;Two of the quickfire top were in the elimination challenge bottom four and two of the quickfire bottom were in the elimination challenge top four. Also,&nbsp;<strong>Jeffrey</strong> got raves reviews in week 1 and was eliminated in week 2. <strong>Kuniko</strong> won the elmination challenge in week 2 and was eliminated in week 3. <strong>Carla</strong> won the elimination challenge in week 3 and was eliminated this week. Will <strong>Kristen</strong> be eliminated next week?&nbsp;

<p>
	Last week on<strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank">Top Chef Seattle</a></strong>, the cheftestants&#39; challenges revolved around regional ingredients. The episode was very fishy. Seattle chef <strong>Tom Douglas</strong> joined the judges&#39; table inside the <strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/15/top-chef-seattle-recap/" target="_blank">Space Needle</a></strong>.
</p>
<p>
	Three past&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/category/top-chef/" target="_blank">Top Chef</a></strong>&nbsp;competitors,&nbsp;<strong>Josie Smith-Malave</strong> (season 2), <strong>C.J. Jacobsen</strong> (season 3), and <strong>Stefan Richter</strong> (season 5), joined the competition. Sadly,&nbsp;<strong>Jeffrey Jew</strong> failed to impress the judges and was eliminated.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</p>
<div>
	The challenge: Create an authentic international dumpling.&nbsp;Working individually, each contestant must pick a country (Africa? It&#39;s a loose interpretation of &quot;country,&quot; I guess), and then make the dough-wrapped ball of food associated with that country.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank"><strong>Padma&nbsp;Lakshmi</strong></a>&nbsp;tells the chefs that they will be gifted five minutes with a Kindle Fire, the <strong>Top Chef</strong> product of the week, to research their dumpling.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Dana Cowin</strong>, Editor-in-chief of Food &amp; Wine Magazine, will judge the challenge. Dana explains that she will look to see how each chef handles a wrapper, stuffing, and sauce, adding that she has eaten her weight in dumplings. No pressure, but she <em>knows</em> her dumplings.

	<strong>The Worldly Dumplings</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Stefan&nbsp;Richter</strong>&nbsp;-&nbsp;Klopse / Germany<strong> -</strong> ground lamb, mashed potatoes and capers. Stefan feels good about his choice because he grew up eating klopses.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie Binder </strong>-<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Szilvas Gomboc / Hungary &#8211; plum and cinnamon filling in a potato pastry. Dana doesn&#39;t comment on Lizzie&#39;s dumpling, but it looks good.&nbsp;<strong>C.J. Jacobsen&nbsp;</strong>-<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Pierogi / Poland &#8211; veal and pork filling with demi-glace. Dana simply says, &quot;It&#39;s a pretty plate.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Carla Pellegrino </strong>-<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Fufu / Africa &#8211; chicken and lamb with red sauce. In case you forgot: Carla sliced her hand on a knife last week. Her hand is still heavily bandaged, which hinders her use of the Kindle Fire. Given Carla&#39;s tablet typing challenges, Dana says she will put aside the &quot;authenticity&quot; of Carla&#39;s dumpling. Color me confused. Isn&#39;t creating an authentic dumpling&nbsp;<em>the challenge</em>?&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kuniko Yagi</strong>&nbsp;is in her own little world most of the time. Last week, she burned the key component of her team&#39;s dish because she forgot it was simmering on the stove. This week, she fails to plate her dumpling because she doesn&#39;t manage her time well.&nbsp;<strong>Josie Smith-Malave </strong>-&nbsp;Mandu / Korea &#8211; pork, tofu, shiitake mushroom filling. Dana questions Josie&#39;s decision to use kimchi.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Bart Vandaele&nbsp;</strong>- Potetball / Norway &#8211; potato ball with lamb and fried spaghetti. Dana calls it fried hair. That can&#39;t be good.&nbsp;<strong>Kristen Kish&nbsp;</strong>- Momo / Nepal &#8211; pork and chicken liver with ginger and cumin.&nbsp;<strong>John Tesar&nbsp;</strong>- Kroppkaka / Sweden &#8211; potato dumpling with b&eacute;chamel sauce. Padma tells John she looks forward to having some of his [kropp] kaka &#8211; and I giggle like an immature school girl. Dana says kroppkaka made with&nbsp;b&eacute;chamel sauce is different.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;

</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Sheldon Simeon </strong>-&nbsp;Jiaozi / China &#8211; pork and shrimp filling with shiitake mushrooms. Despite a lack of dumplings in Hawaii, Sheldon is familiar with his ingredients and feels confident. Dana is excited to meet Sheldon because he was voted Food &amp; Wine Magazine&#39;s best new chef. Dana compliments the filling.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Brooke Williamson&nbsp;</strong>- Siomay / Indonesia &#8211; chicken and shrimp with peanut sauce and daikon. Brooke&#39;s dumpling has no wrapper because she didn&#39;t have flour, which means she works with a bunch of greedy chefs! There are, like, hundreds of different types of flour&#8230; how can there be NO flour left in the <strong>Top Chef</strong> kitchen? Dana thinks she did well despite the missing wrapper.&nbsp;<strong>Micah Fields&nbsp;</strong>- Manti / Kazakhstan &#8211; ground lamb with dates, curry and cinnamon. Micah is like, &quot;Kazakhstand is a real place?&quot;&nbsp;Dana comments, &quot;You went really bold!&quot; Micah hopes bold earns him a win.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	This week&#39;s <strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong> losers are <strong>Brooke</strong>, <strong>Carla</strong>, and <strong>Kuniko</strong>. Dana tells Brooke that her Siomay dumpling was really tasty, but a wrapper is non negotiable.&nbsp;To Carla, Dana says, &quot;That Fufu dumpling felt like it came to Africa via Italy.&quot; Kuniko didn&#39;t complete the challenge, so she&#39;s automatically a loser. <img src='http://www.realitytea.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> &nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	On the flip side, <strong>Josie</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, and <strong>Micah</strong>&#39;s dumplings were the best of the bunch.&nbsp;Dana tells Stefan, &quot;I felt like you had invited me into your grandmother&#39;s house.&quot; Micah&#39;s dumpling was very flavorful. Dana compliments Josie&#39;s &quot;very complete dish in a very short amount of time.&quot; <strong>Josie wins the challenge and earns immunity.</strong>

	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge&nbsp;</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: prepare Thanksgiving dinner for members of the organization <strong>FareStart</strong>. According to Wiki, FareStart&nbsp;got its start by delivering nutritious meals to homeless shelters. Then, its founder, David Lee, began training his clients in the kitchen, giving them the job skills they needed to secure jobs in the field.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong>&nbsp;announces a&nbsp;<strong>Top Chef&nbsp;</strong>first&#8230;&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/emeril-lagasse/" target="_blank"><strong>Emeril&nbsp;Lagasse</strong></a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom&nbsp;Colicchio</strong></a>&nbsp;will join and lead the teams. C.J. says, &quot;Holy f***balls!&quot;&nbsp;Joining&nbsp;Emeril,&nbsp;Tom, and&nbsp;Padma&nbsp;at the dinner table will be&nbsp;<strong>Dana&nbsp;Cowin</strong>,&nbsp;FareStart&#39;s&nbsp;<strong>Megan&nbsp;Karch</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Thierry&nbsp;Rautureau</strong>, a Seattle-based chef.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Emeril</strong>&nbsp;joins the&nbsp;<strong>Gray Team</strong>&nbsp;and decides to create a New Orleans inspired Thanksgiving meal. The <strong>Gray Team</strong> includes <strong>Josie</strong>, <strong>Danyele</strong>, <strong>John</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, <strong>Tyler</strong>, <strong>Kuniko</strong>, <strong>Sheldon</strong>, <strong>Brooke</strong>, and <strong>Chrissy</strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;joins the&nbsp;<strong>Red Team</strong>&nbsp;and plans to do an Italian style Thanksgiving dinner. The <strong>Red Team</strong> consists of <strong>Eliza</strong>, <strong>Stefan</strong>, <strong>Carla</strong>, <strong>Bart</strong>, <strong>Josh</strong>, <strong>Micah</strong>, <strong>Lizzie</strong>, and <strong>C.J.</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Both <strong>Emeril</strong> and <strong>Tom</strong> instruct their teams to butter up the turkey. Tom simply says, &quot;When I do the bird, I stuff a bunch of butter under the skin.&quot; Emeril, on the other hand, busts out, &quot;Stuff that ass with a lot of butter.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		Chef Tom&#39;s Italian Thanksgiving vs. Chef Emeril&#39;s Southern Thanksgiving: <strong>Josie</strong> says, &quot;It&#39;s like the Civil War of Thanksgiving.&quot;&nbsp;Josie tells <strong>Emeril</strong> that she has immunity and offers to take on the turkey. <strong>Stefan </strong>freaks out when he doesn&#39;t have enough room to work. <strong>Carla</strong> says she loves Stefan&#39;s craziness. <strong>C.J.</strong> takes charge of his &quot;bitching&quot; team. <strong>Kuniko</strong>&#39;s team mates pull her in several directions because they feel as if she has a simple dish. Josie&#39;s turkey skin is burning, so she lowers the temperature in her oven.
	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>C.J.</strong> and <strong>Stefan</strong> taste <strong>Carla</strong>&#39;s soup before it&#39;s seasoned and she loses her mind. C.J. raises his hands and says, &quot;I just tasted it!&quot; Stefan annoys Carla further by calling her &quot;sweetie&quot; and &quot;honey.&quot; Carla yells, &quot;There will be no sweetie anymore!&quot; &nbsp;Stefan laughs and shares, &quot;Why I left Europe&#8230; European women!&quot; Much later, Carla and Stefan are still at it. Stefan admits that Carla freaks him out a little bit, especially since her ex-husand is rumored to be in the mafia. Carla just goes on and on and on about the &quot;honey&quot; thing. She yells, &quot;Girls are honey, sweetie. The guys are chef. What the f***!&quot;&nbsp;

	</div>
<div>
		&nbsp;
	</div>
<div>
		<strong>Emeril and the Gray Team&nbsp;</strong>
	</div>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Josie</strong> &#8211; triple spice turkey with cayenne and hot sauce. The turkey isn&#39;t cooked inside. Emeril admits, &quot;It could have cooked a little bit more, unfortunately, but it&#39;s well seasoned.&quot; Dana agrees that it has a nice outside flavor, though the inside is raw. It&#39;s a shame Josie has immunity because she should be eliminated. &nbsp;In my opinion, serving raw turkey is unforgivable.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyelle</strong> -&nbsp;Emeril&#39;s mom&#39;s dressing &#8211; bread stuffing with chorizo and cayenne. Megan loves the chorizo stuffing. Thierry says, &quot;It&#39;s really good, definitely has a kick.&quot; &nbsp;<strong>John</strong> -&nbsp;Emeril&#39;s cornbread stuffing with ground turkey and diced bacon. Emeril says he nailed it. <strong>Kristen</strong> -&nbsp;assiette of root vegetables, parsnip truffle puree and creme fraiche. Emeril thinks the veggies were under seasoned. <strong>Tyler</strong> -&nbsp;Andouille and shrimp gumbo. The gumbo is a miss. Thierry says it&#39;s lacking flavor and depth. Emeril thinks Tyler missed both the hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kuniko</strong> &#8211; potato pave. Padma says, &quot;Oooh, this pave is raw.&quot; Tom thinks it&#39;s a definite misstep.&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon</strong> &#8211; braised greens with ham hocks. Tom says the greens are undercooked, but the flavor is great. Pamda likes the texture.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; sweet potato buttermilk biscuits. Dana says, &quot;The biscuit is so sweet and tender. I love the little crunch.&quot; Tom thinks Brooke&#39;s biscuits are good enough to be a new Thanksgiving tradition.&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy</strong> &#8211; white chocolate &amp; pecan bread pudding. This dessert is a huge hit.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong> &#8211; spiced pumpkin &amp; goat cheese ricotta torte. While Thierry loves the torse, Megan prefers Chrissy&#39;s pecan bread pudding. &nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Tom and the Red Team</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>C.J.</strong> &#8211; braised turkey with Tom&#39;s stuffing. Tom admits there&#39;s three pounds of butter shoved under the turkey&#39;s skin. Yummy. Thierry says the skin is wonderful and the meat is moist. <strong>Carla</strong> &#8211; carrot sop with turkey meatballs. The meatballs are perfect. Dana says, &quot;It&#39;s sooo good.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Bart</strong> &#8211; fennel, gorgonzola, orange and pumpkin seed salad. While Dana thought the salad was nearly perfect, Padma thought it could have used more &quot;refinement.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> &#8211; sweet potato ravioli with pecans. Emeril feels as if Josh&#39;s ravioli is the weakest dish on the plate. Tom critiques the inconsistencies in the dough.&nbsp;<strong>Micah</strong> &#8211; roasted Brussels sprouts with cranberries, bacon and shallots. Thierry loves the Brussels sprouts and wants seconds; however, Dana thinks they&#39;re under seasoned and greasy.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong> &#8211; potato puree. Dana says the potatoes are fantastic.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong> &#8211; panna cotta with orange cardamom crisp and candied pecans. Padma thinks the cardamom is too strong.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong> &#8211; chocolate tart with white chocolate and mint. Emeril says the first bite is great but the second bite is too hot. Tom says, &quot;Overall, the deserts are a letdown.&quot;&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-97903" height="353" src="http://cdn1-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/11/top-chef-carla-pellegrino-kuniko-hagi-001.jpg" title="top-chef-carla-pellegrino-kuniko-hagi" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Since they worked closely with the teams,&nbsp;<strong>Emeril</strong> and <strong>Tom</strong> excuse themselves from the vote. <strong>Megan</strong>, <strong>Dana</strong>, <strong>Thierry</strong>, and <strong>Padma</strong> all vote for the <strong>Red Team</strong>.&nbsp;After announcing the Red Team as the winner, <strong>Padma</strong> asks to see<strong> C.J.</strong>, <strong>Carla</strong>, and<strong> Lizzie</strong>.&nbsp;The judges compliment Carla on her soup, Lizzie on her potatoes, and C.J.&#39;s leadership.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Carla wins.</strong>&nbsp;She might be 50 shades of crazy, but she obviously has skills.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Tyler</strong>, <strong>Kuniko</strong>, <strong>Sheldon</strong>, and <strong>Josie</strong> must face the judges next. Tom says to Josie, &quot;You have immunity and can&#39;t go home, but your team lost because your turkey was really undercooked.&quot; Josie doesn&#39;t believe Tom. I didn&#39;t see Josie&#39;s first season&#8230; but she&#39;s kind of annoying me now. Tom would love to send Josie home but he can&#39;t because she has immunity.&nbsp;The judges tell Tyler his gumbo was under seasoned. When asked about her raw potatoes, Kuniko says she was really pushed for time (despite having five hours). Josie defends Kuniko, saying she really helped the team as a whole. Emeril tells Sheldon he should have cooked the greens longer.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kuniko goes home.</strong> Another unfortunate elimination. Kuniko seems super sweet, but she needs to work on time management. Kuniko shares, &quot;It meant a lot for me to come here to try. I don&#39;t have regrets. If I didn&#39;t help anyone and I only took care of myself&#8230; that&#39;s worse than me going home.&quot;&nbsp;

	What have I gotten myself into?&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/category/top-chef/" target="_blank">Top Chef</a></strong>&nbsp;has brainwashed me; I need to procure a few GE Monogram appliances. Also, there are too. many.&nbsp;accents. this season.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Last week, judges <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank"><strong>Tom Colicchio</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/emeril-lagasse/" target="_blank"><strong>Emeril Lagasse</strong></a>, <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/hugh-acheson/" target="_blank"><strong>Hugh Acheson</strong></a>, and <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/wolfgang-puck/" target="_blank"><strong>Wolfgang Puck</strong></a>&nbsp;put the last of the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/top-chef-seattle/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong></a> hopefuls through the <a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/11/08/top-chef-seattle-recap-the-ultimate-chef-test/" target="_blank">ultimate chef test</a>. The chefs who were deemed too salty, too sweaty, too full of themselves, and too boring for reality TV were eliminated.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Season 10&#39;s cheftestants are&nbsp;<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong>, <strong>Brooke Williamson</strong>, <strong>Carla Pellegrino</strong>, <strong>Chrissy Camba</strong>, <strong>Danyele McPherson</strong>,<strong> Eliza Gavin</strong>, <strong>Jeffrey Jew</strong>, <strong>John Tesar</strong>, <strong>Josh Valentine</strong>, <strong>Kristen Kish</strong>, <strong>Kuniko Yagi</strong>, <strong>Lizzie Binder</strong>, <strong>Micah Fields</strong>, <strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong>, and <strong>Tyler Wiard</strong>.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Alright, alright, alright!<strong>&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank">Padma Lakshmi</a></strong>&nbsp;is in the house, err, kitchen, and she&#39;s feisty. <strong>John</strong>&nbsp;decides to talk to his teammates while Padma is still dishing out instructions for the Quickfire challenge. She puts him in his place. Manners by Bravo lesson number one: don&#39;t talk over Padma. Standing&nbsp;beside Padma in a quiet and single-file line, as not to bring on Manners by Bravo lesson number two, are three past <strong>Top Chef</strong> contestants. Surprise!&nbsp;<strong>Josie Smith-Malave</strong> (season 2), <strong>C.J. Jacobsen</strong> (season 3), and <strong>Stefan Richter</strong> (season 5) will be the judges for the first&nbsp;blitzkrieg (okay, a little dramatic, but I love that word).&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy</strong>&nbsp;remembers Stefan; he&#39;s an evil villain who looks like a thumb.&nbsp;

	<strong>Quickfire Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> points out stacks of colored aprons and asks the contestants to divide themselves into five groups of three. <strong>John</strong>, the most hated chef in Dallas, spies <strong>Kuniko</strong> helping herself to a blue apron, so John, too, grabs a blue one&#8230; because she&#39;s Japanese and, therefore, probably good with knives. Please, stop with the Japanese stereotypes.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: create a dish that highlights local shellfish in only 20 minutes. More importantly,&nbsp;&quot;Chefs, you have free range of the <strong>Top Chef</strong> kitchen, which is equipped with the latest GE monogrammed appliances.&quot;&nbsp;See. I need. You need. We all <em>need </em>GE in our lives.&nbsp;<em>But, Melissa, you don&#39;t cook. But, husband, I simply must indulge my inner chef.&nbsp;</em>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>The Teams</strong>
</div>
<div>
	Gray Team: Bart, Jeffrey, and Brooke
</div>
<div>
<div>
		Orange Team: Lizzie, Carla, and Chrissy
	</div>
<div>
		Green Team: Micah, Kristen, and Tyler
	</div>
<div>
		Blue Team: Sheldon, Kuniko, and John
	</div>
<div>
		Yellow Team: Eliza, Danyele, and Josh
	</div>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Instead of making a mad dash for her seafood of choice, <strong>Brooke</strong> recites 101 ways to cook geoduck (goo-ey duck). Finally, her teammates have enough sense to tell her to be quiet and get it! <strong>Kristen</strong> also wants geoduck. She explains, &quot;Geoduck looks like a penis. A giant one.&quot; In the end, everyone wants a piece of the big geoduck, but a few teams are too late.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Carla, Carla, Carla&#8230; she talks too much, she needs a brush and a headband, she talks too much, and she shares, &quot;I want to be a James Beard, and I want to have a nice ass.&quot; The three women on the orange team all talk at the same time, accomplishing nothing. While <strong>Bart</strong> tells a cute little story about Belgian food, <strong>Carla</strong> is around the corner, still talking. She chastises her teammates, &quot;Without knowing what to do, we&#39;re not doing anything. I can&#39;t be running around like a stupid.&quot; I think it&#39;s fair to say&#8230; that ship has already sailed.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Bart</strong>, <strong>Jeffrey</strong>, and <strong>Brooke</strong>&nbsp;(gray) &#8211; crawfish with pickled red chili, fennel and crawfish cream. C.J., &quot;old school.&quot; According to Stefan, it&#39;s good despite too much dill.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong>,<strong> Carla</strong>, and <strong>Chrissy</strong> (orange) &#8211; oven-roasted crawfish with fennel and herb salad. After working with Carla, Lizzie is a bundle of nerves. She&#39;s not proud of their dish, saying it&#39;s messy and crazy&#8230; like Carla. C.J. wants more acid. Josie says the salad is seasoned well and gives it two thumbs up.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Tyler</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, and <strong>Micah</strong> (green) &#8211; fried and sashimi geoduck, radish and bok choy salad, yuzu chili vinaigrette. While Padma and C.J. think the sashimi should have been cut thinner, Josie appreciates the diverse textures.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kuniko</strong>, <strong>John</strong>, and <strong>Sheldon</strong> (blue) &#8211; geoduck sashimi, ponzu, apple and cucumber. C.J. loves it. Stefan likes the addition of pine nuts but asks for more salt.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyele</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong>(yellow) &#8211; razor clam and grilled corn chowder with Fresno chili and grilled lime. This dish needs salt, also.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-95951" height="334" src="http://cdn2-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/11/top-chef-stefan-richter-cj-jacobsen-josie-malave.jpg" title="top-chef-stefan-richter-cj-jacobsen-josie-malave" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> asks the three judges, &quot;Which dish was the least successful?&quot; After a short discussion,&nbsp;<strong>C.J.</strong> breaks the news to the Yellow Team, &quot;The soup with the razor clams wasn&#39;t really seasoned properly, there wasn&#39;t a good amount of acid, and it didn&#39;t make the razor clams sing.&quot; On the flip side, the judges deem the geoduck/apple/cucumber dish prepared by the Blue Team the best. <strong>John</strong> shares, &quot;Winning the first quickfire on <strong>Top Chef </strong>is going to be up there in the top five things of all time in my life.&quot; <strong>Sheldon</strong>, John, and&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko&nbsp;</strong>draw knives&#8230; John wins immunity.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Expect the Unexpected</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Padma</strong> announces that <strong>Stefan</strong>, <strong>Josie</strong>, and<strong> C.J.</strong> will join <strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong> as competitors. The kitchen is full of nervous laughter and fake smiles. <strong>Tyler</strong> adds, &quot;Bullshit!&quot; <strong>Josh</strong> whispers to <strong>Danyele</strong> and<strong> Eliza</strong>, &quot;It&#39;s gonna suck. I&#39;m gonna get into fights, I&#39;m sure, now.&quot; To us, he says, &quot;F*** them. I hate them all.&quot;<strong> Micah</strong> shares, &quot;I&#39;d love to whip their asses. Bring it on.&quot;&nbsp;Stefan boasts, &quot;I have nothing to prove. I drive a f***ing 3GT Porsche and I have restaurants.&quot; But, he (along with everyone he knows) thinks he should have won his season, so he&#39;s back.&nbsp;For the next challenge, the veterans will form the red team.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Elimination Challenge</strong>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The challenge: make one dish using regional ingredients for Seattle chef <strong>Tom Douglas</strong>. The challenge takes place inside the Space Needle. The teams have 47 minutes, which is how long it takes to Space Needle to spin one time, to complete the task.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/gail-simmons/" target="_blank"><strong>Gail Simmons</strong></a>,&nbsp;<strong>Tom Colicchio</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Emeril Lagasse</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Tom Douglas</strong>&nbsp;will judge.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Random news:&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> continues to fret about working with <strong>Carla</strong>. <strong>Brooke</strong> is afraid of heights. <strong>Josie</strong>&nbsp;shares, she&#39;s back for redemption. Her words of wisdom to the newbies: &quot;What you did yesterday, doesn&#39;t do anything for you today. Every day is a new challenge. Right on and rock on, rock stars.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko</strong>&nbsp;wants to chili oil poach her team&#39;s cod.&nbsp;<strong>John</strong>&nbsp;admits, &quot;I&#39;ve never seen that before. Kuniko is a risk-taker. She&#39;s challenging me after all these years, and I&#39;m just loving her choices.&quot; Odd&#8230; no mention of her impeccable knife skills&#8230; That stupid comment aside, John&#39;s actually quite likable. Granted, he has immunity, so we&#39;ll see what happens to dear John next week.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/2012/10/15/photos-video-shahs-of-sunset-season-2/" target="_blank"><strong>PHOTOS &amp; VIDEO: Bravo&#39;s Shahs Of Sunset Season 2!</strong></a>
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong> and <strong>Carla</strong> argue about lemon.&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko</strong> burns her chili oil. Carla loses her s**t when it&#39;s time to plate, and the contestants not on her team are silently counting their blessings.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Blue Team &#8211; Kuniko, John, and Sheldon </strong>- chili oil poached cod with dash, spot prawn shabu shabu. Gail, &quot;As the first thing I put in my mouth in Seattle, not bad. (slight pause) That came out wrong.&quot; Actually, it was just right&#8230; and brilliant. Keep up the good work, Gail. Overall, they say the dish&#39;s smokey flavor is dead on and the temperature of the chili is perfect.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Orange Team &#8211; Lizzie, Carla, and Chrissy </strong>- poached salmon with seasonal vegetables and beurre blanc. Seattle Tom thinks the salmon is cooked perfectly. While everyone agrees the dish is poorly seasoned, Padma feels as if the strong flavor of the beurre blanc makes up for it.
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The veterans change their game plan seconds before it&#39;s their turn in the kitchen &#8211; risky.&nbsp;<strong>Stefan</strong> handles the tiny quail breasts. He assures us, he&#39;s used to bigger breasts. <strong>Josie</strong> and <strong>C.J.</strong> clash over cherries. <strong>Brooke</strong> worries that <strong>Jeffrey</strong> overcooked their halibut.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Red Team &#8211; Josie, Stefan, and C.J.</strong> &#8211; quail breast with confit spot prawn, cherries and porcini. Seattle Tom likes the addition of the cherries. Both the quail and the spot prawn are overcooked. Seattle Tom is like, wow, you guys are a tough crowd!&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Gray Team &#8211; Bart, Jeffrey, and Brooke</strong> &#8211; pan-roasted halibut, mushrooms, English peas, wheat beer with herb sabayon. Padma compares her halibut to a hockey puck&#8230; ouch&#8230; that&#39;s never good. Also, the pea sauce is a miss.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Danyele</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong>&nbsp;have no idea what fish they&#39;re cooking with because its head is missing.. but it&#39;s white. They ultimately decide it&#39;s cod. <strong>Micah</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong>, and <strong>Tyler</strong> continue to be ego-free and work well together. Meanwhile, someone steals Josh&#39;s mushrooms and he&#39;s out for blood. He think, &quot;A lot of people think I&#39;m just this little guy from OK and that&#39;ll be their mistake. I&#39;ve worked under great chefs. I&#39;ll surprise a lot of people.&quot; &nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Yellow Team &#8211; Eliza, Danyele, and Josh</strong>&nbsp;- pan-roasted cod, mushrooms, lava beans, pickled green apple and garlic scape pistou.&nbsp;&nbsp;Seattle Tom says it&#39;s cooked nicely; however, he wants more of the pistou. Emeril and Top Chef Tom agree the apple is the best part of the dish, but Tom says there isn&#39;t enough of it.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Green Team &#8211; Micah, Kristen, and Tyler</strong> &#8211; crispy seared salmon, local vegetables and spot prawn butter sauce. Salmon is perfectly cooked and the &quot;mouth feel&quot; is pleasant.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-95997" height="343" src="http://cdn3-www.realitytea.com/assets/uploads/2012/11/top-chef-kuniko-yagi-jeffrey-jew.jpg" title="top-chef-kuniko-yagi-jeffrey-jew" width="500" />
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	Overall, the judges think the chefs did an amazing job. Sure, there were a few clunkers, but <strong>Gail</strong> is absolutely stoked about such a promising start to the season. The blue team&#39;s dish wins again! The judges commend Kuniko&#39;s decision to use the chili oil. It seems as if&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon</strong>, <strong>Kuniko</strong>, and <strong>John</strong> are this season&#39;s front runners. But, I hope John does something else with his glasses when he&#39;s not wearing them. Seeing them on his forehead annoys me.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Kuniko</strong> wins the challenge. Yay for her and kudos to her team for listening to her and deciding together, as a team, to let her take control of the fish.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	The Gray Team,&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong>, J<strong>effrey</strong>, and<strong> Brooke</strong>, and the Red Team,&nbsp;<strong>Josie</strong>,<strong> Stefan</strong>, and <strong>C.J.</strong>, face the judges next. <strong>Padma</strong> tells both teams that their dishes were disappointing. Wow&#8230; veterans on the chopping block the first week&#8230; maybe they should have stayed home. Stefan blames the overcooked quail on timing. Umm, yeah, too much time. The newbie team blame their clashing styles and personalities for their unsuccessful dish. When asked, Jeffrey must take responsibility for the fish.&nbsp;<strong>Gail</strong>&nbsp;points out that their fish was hard seared on both sides, which Brooke was worried about during prep, and dry in the middle.&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>Jeffrey</strong> goes home. So sad. <img src='http://www.realitytea.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' />  He did really well last week and seems nice. &nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	&nbsp;
</div>
<div>
	<strong>TELL US &#8211; DID JEFFREY&#39;S ELIMINATION SURPRISE YOU?&nbsp;</strong><strong>DO STEFAN, JOSIE, AND C.J. HAVE AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE? ANY FAVORITES YET?</strong>

	<a href="http://www.realitytea.com/category/top-chef/" target="_blank"><strong>Top Chef</strong></a> is back.&nbsp;<strong><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/padma-lakshmi/" target="_blank">Padma Lakshmi</a></strong>&nbsp;returns as host, and the series promises a &quot;back to basics&quot; season. <strong>Top Chef Season 10</strong>&nbsp;will take us to Seattle.&nbsp;But, we&#39;re not actually in Seattle yet, because the judges still have some cheftestant fat to cut.
</p>
<p>
	The remaining&nbsp;<strong>Top Chef Seattle</strong> hopefuls are broken up into four groups and must prove themselves to either&nbsp;<b><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/tom-colicchio/" target="_blank">Tom Colicchio</a></b>,<b>&nbsp;</b><b><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/emeril-lagasse/" target="_blank">Emeril Lagasse</a></b>,&nbsp;<b><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/hugh-acheson/" target="_blank">Hugh Acheson</a></b>, or<b>&nbsp;</b><b><a href="http://www.realitytea.com/tag/wolfgang-puck/" target="_blank">Wolfgang Puck</a></b>. The&nbsp;cheftestants&nbsp;will pour their hearts and souls (and, for some, sweat) into dinner prep, soups, omelets, and salads, and then the judges decide who moves on to Seattle.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	Head judge <strong>Tom </strong><strong>Colicchio</strong>&#39;s team includes <strong>John Tesar</strong>, <strong>Elizabeth &quot;Lizzie&quot; Binder</strong>, <strong>Jorel Pierce</strong>, <strong>Micah Fields</strong>, and <strong>Anthony Gray</strong>.
</p>
<p>
	<strong>John</strong> pimps himself as the &quot;most hated chef in Dallas.&quot; Then, in case we&#39;re too dim to realize, he tells us that &quot;hated&quot; basically means &quot;awesome.&quot; &nbsp;John says he has a natural talent, and he&#39;s the best. Well, there you have it, <strong>Top Chef</strong> fans. Should we just call it a season and crown him the winner now? Eh, what fun would that be? Let&#39;s meet the other <strike>egos</strike>&nbsp;contestants.&nbsp;

	<strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;throws the chefs into a dinner service at his Los Angeles restaurant. Tom looks for prep and cooking skills, as well as chefs who stand out in the kitchen.&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> is nervous and crushes on Tom. <strong>Jorel</strong> shows up with a handlebar mustache. I don&#39;t know why. <strong>Micah</strong> plans to smash the competition. <strong>Anthony</strong>&nbsp;is very quiet but he makes up for it in sweat.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Lizzie</strong>&#39;s tortellini&nbsp;impresses. <strong>Anthony</strong> cuts duck with a paring knife, while simultaneously marinating the duck with his sweat. Yummy. &nbsp;Perhaps he wouldn&#39;t have to exert so much energy if he used a bigger knife. Uh oh. Tom knows all about <strong>John</strong>. However, his interpretation of &quot;hated&quot; leans more towards &quot;hot head.&quot; John shares that he &quot;came up&quot; with the likes of Bobby Flay, but he threw it all away by abusing drugs.&nbsp;Tom has to show&nbsp;<strong>Micah </strong>how to filet a fish.<strong> </strong><strong>Jorel</strong>&#39;s mustache boasts, &quot;I could butcher a pig with my eyes closed,&quot; but he later proves he cannot follow instructions.&nbsp;As soon as <strong>John</strong> plates his halibut, <strong>Tom</strong>&nbsp;secretly gives him a<strong> Top Chef</strong> coat, which is his ticket to Seattle. The other contestants do not know what happened to John, but, obviously, they hope he&#39;s been eliminated.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	Following the dinner service, the contestants finally learn that <strong>Tom</strong> sent <strong>John </strong>straight to Seattle. They&#39;re <strike>ecstatic for him</strike> bummed out. Also going to Seattle:&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie</strong> and <strong>Michah</strong>. Tom eliminates <strong>Jorel</strong> and <strong>Anthony</strong>. Basically, Jorel&#39;s mustache is unforgivable and he uses too much salt. And, while Anthony lacks ambition, Micah sweats it (pun intended, haha, poor Anthony and his sweat).&nbsp;

<p>
	Facing the culinary superstar, <strong>Emeril Lagasse</strong>, are<strong> Josh Valentine</strong>,<strong> Stephanie Cmar</strong>, <strong>Jeffrey Jew</strong>, <strong>Tina Bourbeau</strong>, and <strong>Kristen Kish</strong>.
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Emeril</strong> challenges the chefs to make soup. Sounds simple enough, right? Emeril laughs in our faces and explains, &quot;Seems simple but [soup] needs structure, seasoning, depth, and it&#39;s a true test to see if you&#39;re a great chef.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> shares Jorel&#39;s love of handlebar mustaches. Seriously, is this mustache a trend right now? According to <strong>Stephanie</strong>, facing Emeril fills her brain with butterflies. <strong>Kristen</strong> shares that she and Stephanie met seven years ago and bonded over boob sweat. Let&#39;s hope Stephanie, Kristen, and Anthony from Tom&#39;s group all advance&#8230; oh, the stories they could tell!&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	So, back to boob sweat, <strong>Stephanie</strong> and <strong>Kristen</strong> are friends, co-workers, and neighbors and share matching spoon tattoos, but they&#39;re not lesbians. <strong>Jeffrey</strong> thinks his travels will help him win <strong>Top Chef</strong>. <strong>Josh</strong> shares, &quot;My wife is expecting in three months &#8230; These are tremendous sacrifices that I&#39;m making to compete on <strong>Top Chef</strong>. If I go to Seattle, I miss the birth of my daughter. That weighs on me a little bit.&quot;&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Stephanie</strong>&nbsp;-&nbsp;cauliflower soup with corn, lobster, and pea tendril. Emeril says &quot;well done&quot; despite wishing for more flavor from the cauliflower. <strong>Tina</strong>&nbsp;- shellfish and chorizo soup with croutons and garlic mayonnaise. Emeril smirks and says, &quot;Garlicky.&quot; <strong>Kristen</strong> &#8211; English pea broth, lemon peel, apple, and seared scallop. Emeril asks Kristen why she poached the lemon peel three times. She answers, &quot;To pull out the bitterness.&quot; Emeril responds with &quot;hmph,&quot; adding that the scallops are perfect. <strong>Jeffrey</strong> &#8211; chilled watermelon and tomato gazpacho, peppers, and ceviche. During prep, Emeril doubted Jeffrey&#39;s ability to chill the gazpacho in time. A pleasantly surprised Emeril deems the soup lovely, and offers Jeffrey a <strong>Top Chef</strong> coat.&nbsp;<strong>Josh</strong> &#8211; roasted corn and coconut soup with mussels. Emeril&#39;s first reaction is that it&#39;s too sweet.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Emeril</strong> sends home <strong>Stephanie</strong> and <strong>Tina</strong>. Stephanie will have to watch her &quot;other spoon&quot; on TV. So sad. <strong>Kristen</strong> and <strong>Josh</strong> will join Jeffrey in Seattle.&nbsp;

<p>
	<strong>Hugh Acheson</strong>&#39;s team includes&nbsp;<strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Bart Vandaele</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Gina Keatley</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Danyele McPherson</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Brooke Williamson</strong>.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Hugh</strong> teases his chefs. He tells them there&#39;s a <strong>Top Chef</strong> coat for each of them&#8230; if they can throw together a salad in 45 minutes. I&#39;m guessing this isn&#39;t your normal salad, because my idea of a <em>salad</em> is, umm,<em> lettuce with toppings</em>. Yes, Hugh makes it harder, adding, &quot;I want a <em>beautiful</em> salad.&quot; Hugh goes on to explain the role of the salad in the life of a chef, &quot;There is a lot of space in the world of salads for chefs to show their true skills and creative ability and really explore flavor in a new and novel way.&quot; Hugh obviously really likes salad.
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong> shares that he was a semi-finalist for the James Beard rising star chef award in 2011. He comes across as humble and friendly. Sheldon wants to put Hawaii on the culinary map.<strong> Bart</strong> is a Belgian knight, but he answers to &quot;Bart the Chef.&quot; <strong>Gina</strong> refers to herself as a ferocious tiger. If she sticks around, she&#39;s going to annoy.<strong> Danyele</strong>&nbsp;has curly red hair. She studied anthropology and history in college&#8230; but somehow fell into a sous chef position. Gina calls Danyele&#39;s technique &quot;ridiculous.&quot; <strong>Brooke</strong> tells Hugh that her four-year-old son is quite the buzzkill, so she hopes <strong>Top Chef</strong> brings some excitement back into her life. It&#39;s Gina again, boasting, &quot;My dish is more than good enough to move me forward.&quot;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Sheldon</strong> &#8211; fried Brussels sprout salad with orange Thai vinaigrette. Hugh is like, Dude, Brussels sprout season ended three months ago. Still, tastes good.&nbsp;<strong>Bart</strong> &#8211; spiny lobster salad with beets, asparagus, and potatoes. Hugh says something like <em>whoa, big salad</em>. I wish he had said, &quot;Bart, is that a big salad or are you just happy to see me?&quot; Bart responds, &quot;It&#39;s a big boy who cooks it.&quot; Oh boy. Moving on, Hugh says, &quot;The lobster is well-cooked but there&#39;s a lot going on. Bart takes &quot;a lot going on&quot; as a compliment and says thank you.&nbsp;<strong>Brooke</strong> &#8211; kale salad with Brussels sprout leaves and lemon vinaigrette. Hugh exclaims, &quot;That&#39;s a really freaking good salad.&quot; Brooke&#39;s salad earns her a <strong>Top Chef</strong> coat.&nbsp;<strong>Gina</strong> &#8211; zucchini with carrots, pea sprouts, and balsamic reduction, which Hugh calls &quot;weighty&quot; and &quot;overdone.&quot; Gina demands, &quot;Stop it!&quot; Hugh adds &quot;it looks nice&quot; and promptly moves on. &nbsp;<strong>Danyele</strong> &#8211; grilled watermelon and tomato salad with charred tomato vinaigrette. &nbsp;Her salad is good, though it tastes like propane. Huh.
</p>
<p>
	Remember when&nbsp;<strong>Gina</strong> called <strong>Danyele</strong> an amateur, and then <strong>Hugh</strong> said Danyele&#39;s&nbsp;dish was propane-y? Well, Hugh cuts Gina and keeps&nbsp;Danyele. Gina is not happy. She wants us to know, &quot;I&#39;m not just a chef and a nutritionist, I&#39;m a movement.&quot; She will not be missed. Hugh advances the rest of his chefs to Seattle.

<p>
	New to&nbsp;<strong>Top Chef</strong>&nbsp;this season is&nbsp;<strong>Wolfgang Puck</strong>. Wow. Facing the legend are&nbsp;<strong>Carla Pellegrino</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Eliza Gavin</strong>, C<strong>hrissy</strong><strong>&nbsp;Camba</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Daniel O&#39;Brien</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko Yagi</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Tyler Wiard</strong>.
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Wolfgang&nbsp;</strong>shares one of his earliest chef experiences. Wolfgang explains, &quot;I was eighteen years old and so confident. [Told to make an omelet], I put olive oil in it and beat the eggs up. The eggs fluffed up like crazy. [The restaurant owner] told me, &#39;This is like sh**ting in your own bed.&#39; He took it and threw it away. Now, I judge you the same way I was judged. Make me an omelet.&quot;&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Carla&nbsp;</strong>looks like she meant to stumble into a&nbsp;<strong>Real Housewives of New York</strong>&nbsp;audition, not&nbsp;<strong>Top Chef</strong>. Carla admits, &quot;Some people don&#39;t really do well with my kind of personality. I&#39;m pretty sure some people call me bitch. I would call me bitch too sometimes.&quot; Yup, she&#39;s on the wrong show.&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy</strong>&nbsp;makes omelets often.. but not for Wolfgang Puck. Eek!&nbsp;<strong>Tyler</strong>&nbsp;says, &quot;An omelet away from Seattle. Holy sh*t.&quot; Tyler tries to not let the omelet get the best of him.&nbsp;<strong>Daniel</strong>&nbsp;rivals John&#39;s ability to pimp himself. Daniel smugly shares that he&#39;s number one on Yelp, something else I cannot understand because he&#39;s too full of himself to open his mouth and look at the camera when he talks, and he&#39;s gotten national press. Daniel adds, &quot;Not bad.&quot; I add, &quot;Not interested.&quot;&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko</strong>&nbsp;used to be a banker in Tokyo and wants to go to Seattle to&nbsp;<strike>win Top Chef</strike>&nbsp;drink coffee. Daniel goes on to refer to Kuniko as &quot;Origami,&quot; proving he really is a jerk.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Tyler</strong>&nbsp;- bacon, shallot, asparagus, and roasted red pepper omelet. Wolfgang says it&#39;s not perfect, but the potatoes are crispy.&nbsp;<strong>Kuniko</strong>&nbsp;- chamomile-infused milk, morel mushroom, and ham omelet. Even though Kuniko&#39;s lacking technique, her omelet is interesting and delicate.&nbsp;<strong>Daniel</strong>&nbsp;- wild forest mushroom omelet with oyster, bacon, and pea salad. Wolfgang tells Daniel that his omelet is overdone and only fit to be eaten in the dark.&nbsp;<strong>Chrissy</strong>&nbsp;- torta omelet with lobster, bacon, caramelized onion, and fennel, which is lacking salt. He should have borrowed some salt from Jorel, as he&#39;s not going to be needing it anymore.&nbsp;<strong>Eliza</strong>&nbsp;- New York strip and morsel mushroom omelet with fennel tomato reduction. Wolfgang says it&#39;s tasty.&nbsp;<strong>Carla</strong>&nbsp;- Mediterranean omelet with arugula salad. It&#39;s one hot mess of an omelet. Wolfgang says, &quot;It looks like a woman with a lot of makeup on &#8230; The juiciness of the vegetables saved it.&quot;
</p>
<p>
	<strong>Wolfgang</strong>&nbsp;decides to send home only one chef. It&#39;s bad news for Mr. Yelp. Wolfgang says, &quot;<strong>Daniel</strong>, the presentation of your omelet was not up to par. Pack your knife.&quot; Daniel says, &quot;WTF? Now I&#39;m pissed off.&quot;&nbsp;
</p>
<p>
	The cheftestants off to Seattle are <strong>Bart</strong> &quot;the Knight&quot; <strong>Vandaele</strong>, <strong>Brooke Williamson</strong>, <strong>Carla</strong> &quot;Real Housewife of Top Chef&quot; <strong>Pellegrino</strong>, <strong>Chrissy Camba</strong>, <strong>Danyele</strong>&nbsp;&quot;Propane&quot; <strong>McPherson</strong>, <strong>Eliza Gavin</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Jeffrey Jew</strong>, <strong>John</strong> &quot;Hated&quot; <strong>Tesar</strong>, <strong>Josh</strong> &quot;Mustache&quot; <strong>Valentine</strong>, <strong>Kristen</strong> &quot;Spoon Tattoo&quot; <strong>Kish</strong>, <strong>Kuniko Yagi</strong>, <strong>Lizzie Binder</strong>,<strong> Micah Fields</strong>, <strong>Sheldon Simeon</strong>, and<strong> Tyler </strong>&quot;Crispy Potatoes&quot;<strong> Wiard</strong>.&nbsp;
