Vicki Gunvalson is WOOHOOING to her hooha’s content and rolling in the affirmations! Brooks Ayers and his (apparently suspect?) cancer have moved in and Vicki is relishing in the fact that she can play the nagging, over-bearing, mother hen who also holds the bank account and the car insurance. “Brooks eat that carrot or you’re gonna get spanked!” Of course, Brooks is acting the part of the rebellious teen sneaking light ranch dressing and whining that he can’t have Wonderbread with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter like all the other boys.
“Cancer loves white bread!” Vicki lectures, making a little note to up Brooks’ insurance policy and give a rousing speech at the next insurance convention about the benefits of long-term care policies. Now she knows from experiences. WOO HOO! Vicki is having her affirmations for breakfast and selling them too.
As we previously reported, Tamra, who claimed she’ll be “absolutely vindicated” this season, insisted viewers will see a softer side of her this season. “I become a grandmother and take a spiritual journey in my life that I am excited to share with everyone,” Tamra said while promoting season ten. “We have a death to a birth and everything in between. The season is very raw with real life issues.”
The countdown to season 10 of the OGs of the OC has begun, with Bravo’s original Housewives brainchild, the Real Housewives of Orange County, returning next week. There’s a new face in the group (isn’t there always? even if there’s not a new cast member?), and this season her name is Meghan King Edmonds, the very young wife of 44-year old hubby, baseball star Jim Edmonds. And she’s not afraid to start spilling the beans on her costars right away!
In a Perez Hilton interview this week, Meghan dishes on her marriage, her unique home dynamics, an her castmates. Breaking all of her vows to “never marry” an older athlete, Meghan now shares a home in CA with his 17-year old daughter (who’s closer in age to Meghan than Jim is) while Jim travels back and forth to St. Louis for work. Meghan also says she’s close friends with her stepdaughter’s mom. Sure, sure. A good friend of Heather Dubrow, Meghan says letting the Bravo cameras into their lives was a tough decision, but Heather’s given her advice to just “be herself” and “stand her ground” to succeed on the RHOC.
Real Housewives Of Orange County season 10 premiers next week, but the Housewives assure us this season will be a very different glass of wine. Don’t expect producer-amped up melodramas, instead expect real and raw emotions as the ladies confront birth, death, Tamra Judge finding Jesus, relationships, terminal illness, and very real friendship issues.
“You’re going to see a lot of real – with all of us,” shared Shannon Beador. “I think it’s a really good season this year. We have a birth, my granddaughter, we have a death, we have everything in between,” Tamra agreed. “It’s really real life stuff going on. It’s not like, ‘You didn’t invite me to a party! You took my chair!’ It’s not that stuff…”
Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their lives with us. And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
“I want to look as best I can, so if it takes plastic surgery, dieting, working out or whatever, I will do it,” Vicki asserts. Part of the problem for Vicki is that television makes her hyper-aware of her appearance … it does… and she feels there is a constant pressure to keep things looking good.
So do the Real Housewives really look as glamorous off-camera as they do on Bravo? The stars of Real Housewives Of New York and Real Housewives Of Orange County dish on what they’ve learned since the cameras started rolling, how TV has affected their looks, and if they’re really as glam when they’re not on Bravo!
All the women admit they’re more casual in real life than they are in reality TV life, usually wearing jeans and shirts or workout gear instead of satin cocktail dresses and Louboutins. Bethenny Frankel confesses to being “braless in pajamas” when she drops off her daughter Bryn at school. “Honestly, that’s where the photographers really should be, because it’s scary. It’s a disaster,” she jokes. Hopefully Bethenny is actually wearing her own PJs and not her daughter’s…
