Apparently a television personality is going to start showing the Kardashians some love…although it's more about getting talk show guests than actually wanting to play nice. Chelsea Handler is turning over a new leaf, and she's not going to be bashing the fame hungry family. That's right. She and Kris Jenner have called a truce on their public, two-year feud.
Just to maintain order in the universe, whenever someone backs the Kardashians, another person must bash them. If we don't maintain this balance, who knows what could happen to the planet? In other Kardashian news, some long lost relatives of Kris Humphries are breaking the family's silence on his never ending divorce from Kim Kardashian. His aunt and uncle are opening up on what they think of the 72 day union, as well as Kris' motives for wanting it annulled.
Last week was huge forNeNe Leakes. It's no wonder she's been slack on writing her Bravo blog…she's been rubbing elbows with major movie stars and acting on an award-winning sitcom. I mean, seriously, let's all go back to season one when NeNe was drunk and singing in that limo. Did you ever think she would become this much of a legitimate and hard-working success? WIG! Her most recent blog post is definitely assalicious, as she weighs in on the Donkey Booty battle betweenPhaedra ParksandKenya Moore.
Kenya is also making a name for herself, as most housewives do, by recording a new song. I'm sure you watched it in all of it's glory onWatch What Happens Live, but if not, please, immediately click here. It's oh so worth it. She discusses her debut in a recent interview, and she chats about watching herself on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Do you think former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin ever really listens to what is coming out of her mouth? I don't mean that to sound ugly, but I honestly don't think she hears herself…or if she does, she has to be one of the most self-confident, yet always victimized, women in reality show history. It's almost comical.
Perhaps I shouldn't have watched her again on a Watch What Happens Live rerun, but I'll admit I got sucked into it. It's as if Jill was watching an entirely different show than the rest of us! When you read her recent interview after the jump, you'll get an even better taste of what I mean. She touts Kim Kardashian's work ethic (she's almost as hard-working as Jill herself!), and pretty much poo poos poor people…or at least people who like to shop at K-Mart. Perhaps she's never seen some of Sofia Vergara's line!
In the beginning there was a housewives franchise for any given night of the week, and then, there was Watch What Happens Live. I must admit I was beside myself when Andy Cohen decided to make his fete a nightly deal. I guess I overestimated the amount of guests who would entertain me in the clubhouse. I don't care about has-beens or random current reality stars that know nothing of all things Bravo. I want dish and dirt and a worthy jackhole.
Ask and ye shall receive. My Monday night WWHL was everything I like to see happening in the clubhouse. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'Taylor Armstrong was present to clear up any rumors that she needed and intervention, and, I'll be honest, as much as I dislike her on the show, she was pretty funny and self-depreciating with ol' Andy. Joining her was The Hills'Kristin Cavalarri who looked fabulous after just having a baby boy. MTV's resident bitch was likeable and (dare I say it?) hilarious during her debut night in the clubhouse.
The scariest part of the ordeal is that doctors still don't know what is wrong with Brandi. After suffering from chest pains and finding a benign lump under her arm, there is still no diagnosis for the brash mother of two. While the hospital trip doesn't seem to be slowing Brandi down–she's still going to be on Watch What Happens Live tonight–it still has to be unnerving to have such a health scare.
I, of course, watched – tornados transporting me to Oz couldn't keep me away – and here's my thoughts on what happened. First of all I was sort of surprised Andy let Jill go so far with some of her allegations. It wasn't live, it was pre-recorded so the network definitely let her air ALL her grievances and expose what I thought was some pretty scandalous things about how filming works and behind the scenes dealings.
Secondly, Jill was either nervous or I don't know what but she rambled and ranted tangentially for the entire segment. Andy barely got a word in and he was checked out, although composed (and bemused), in a way I've never seen him act before. Jill of course basically complained that she was fired, whined it wasn't fair, and insisted viewers want her back and didn't connect with the new women because we don't know them. She actually said viewers were boycotting her firing – and Alex McCord's.
