What Is Wrong With Kim Richards

Perhaps Bravo was wrong not to make Dana Wilkey an official housewife on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after all!

According to a new report by TMZ, Dana would have made a perfect Bravo housewife as she is now being sued for fraud alongside her fiancé John Flynn, who is described as an “entrepreneur.”

In the lawsuit filed at the L.A. Superior Court this week, Mary Painter alleges Dana and John defrauded her out of $53,000. Mary claims she invested the money in 2008 with the couple and another man… she claimed would get at least a 10% return on their investment.

Mary adds that she tried to get her money out a number of times over the past two years to no avail. TMZ adds that it’s unclear what exactly Mary was investing in. She is also suing for breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation as well as asking for her money back plus damages.

Dana’s fiancé spoke to TMZ stating: “There is no fraud. Dana Wilkey is not a properly named defendant, and we expect to continue to negotiate and gain dismissal of this lawsuit as quick as possible.”

Dana also took to her Twitter page to defend herself. She wrote today, “Its a frivolous lawsuit. It will be dismissed. I didn’t even know about it until I TMZ.” She later added, “I’m not involved. I haven’t even met or spoken to the women.”

In other RHOBH news, Thefix.com (a blog about addiction and recovery) is breaking down Kim Richards’ mix of medications. During last week’s episode, Kim revealed her medications to Adrienne Maloof’s husband Dr. Paul Nassif, who then revealed the mix of prescription drugs likely to blame for Kim’s odd behavior this season.

The Fix blog went a step further specifically listing what exactly each drug Kim is taking does to the body and mind. The blog reveals that Kim’s drug mix is a “recipe for confusion.” While Lexapro — one of the drugs Kim is on — is said to be side-effect-free (below is the break down of the two remaining drugs):

Trazodone – “A tetracyclic antidepressant that’s often given to recovering alcoholics and addicts for its strong soporific quality—useful for insomniacs who’ve relied on narcotic-based sedatives—but its side-effects include confusion and difficulty concentrating or remembering things.”

Topamax - “Is an epilepsy drug and mood stabilizer that’s been used experimentally to treat alcoholism and migraine disorders. It, too, carries some crazy risks: users call it “Dopamax” or “Stupamax” because of side-effects like feeling disoriented and confused, or the inability to remember words or speak in complete sentences.”

Kim’s sister Kyle Richards also blogged this week, citing she feels vindicated that the world can now see prescription drugs are to blame for Kim’s behavior this season and not illegal drugs or alcohol. Below is an excerpt from Kyle’s Bravo blog -

“I am happy they showed Kim discussing with Paul the medication’s she has been taking. I think that clears things up for some people. I didn’t know exactly what she was taking, but I knew that the doctors had put her on something and I saw a difference in here — and not always for the best. That is why I got so upset with Brandi for making that comment about Kim and crystal meth. I knew because she said that on camera millions of people would see that. I know from experience, once something is said on camera, true or false, it follows you forever. My sister Kim has struggled enough with her issues. I didn’t want that to set her back. She is a strong girl but fragile at the same time. I told Kim after her visit with Paul that she had to talk to her doctor’s and get that sorted out. Paul didn’t feel she was on the right medication for her anxiety and didn’t think it was the right combination of meds.”

Moving on to tonight’s new episode of the RHOBH! On the 11th episode this season titled “Tempest in a Tea Party,” Lisa’s stately tea party is at a high boil when Taylor’s true feelings about Lisa bubble to the surface and marital issues are addressed. This is the episode that has been highly promoted by Bravo during which Camille will reveal the claims of Russell Armstrong physically abusing Taylor.

The new episode airs at 9/8c and the preview clip is below.

Well, I guess we can now say “it” has been brought. During the game night from hell on last week’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, new girl Brandi Glanville challenged Kim Richards to “Bring it, b!thch!” after feeling the wrath of the Richards sisters. While Brandi apologized to Kyle Richards in the following episode at an awkward spa day, Kim wanted nothing to do with the piranha named Brandi.

Kyle has since done damage control spoken out about the women’s behavior, but her sister Kim has remained relatively mum (save a tweet or two)…until now. In a blog on her twitter page, Kim addresses the fight, her actions, and that pesky little crystal meth accusation.

Kim begins, “Let me first start off by apologizing for the delay in my blogs. It has taken me some time to come to grips with certain events that have unfolded on the show. One event in particular is the situation that occurred on Game Night at Pam’s aka Dana’s (haha) That night was the first time I had ever met Brandi.”

She maintains, “For someone who doesn’t know me personally to outright accuse me of using crystal meth leaves me bewildered. Not only did she accuse me of using crystal meth, she accused me of using crystal meth on national television. Drug abuse isn’t something you just throw around as a jab. When Brandi uttered those words on camera, the only thing I could think of was ‘where the hell did that come from?’”

As you recall, it was Kim’s odd behavior and multiple bathroom trips that prompted the outburst while the three women were fighting. Kim is adamant that it wasn’t drug abuse but anxiety medication that is to blame for her very loopy demeanor.

She explains, “I told the others that night, that I had just left my doctors for treatment of my anxiety and panic disorder. I have suffered from this for many years. They knew he had given me medication for it. I found myself groggy, as this was a medication I had never taken before. That is why I was carrying my coffee with me. I should have gone home to lay down. Instead I went to shoot RHOBH. My doctors have been trying to determine which medication is right for me.” Perhaps she took this same medication while Adrienne and Paul were waiting on her to fly with them to the Kings game?

Kim takes a little responsibility for instigating the incident, admitting, “I know I was no angel that night. I am embarrassed that I fed into the negativity. I didn’t like the way I acted and that is not my character. When I said ‘I don’t want her on my team’ I was just joking with my sister. We have our own sibling banter and we get each other’s jokes. That’s my humor. It’s my fault for not making it obvious to Brandi that I was joking and for that I apologize.”

Kim alludes that Brandi’s excuse for her meltdown is more than a tad hypocritical. “By Brandi throwing out that accusation, it not only hurt me and my reputation, but hurt my children. Brandi was so concerned saying ‘don’t talk about my children’ But did she think for one moment about MY children when she carelessly threw those words out?” Kim makes a pretty valid point there.

She continues, “My kids have been devastated by her cruel words. My children and their friends and families watch this show as well. I can say that I am not embarrassed or apologetic for coming to my sister’s defense. I love my sister with all my heart no matter what ups and downs we go through. She always has my back and I will forever have hers.”

Kim doesn’t deny a past history of substance abuse. She says, “I’ll be the first to admit that I have struggled in the past with certain vices; but I have never in my life, EVER, used crystal meth. I have discussed openly my issues with alcohol. As many of you know, sobriety is a lifetime process, a process that is a priority in my life right now. I am grateful for the love and support of my children, family and dear friends.”

She ends the entry thanking her friends, family, and fans for the outpouring of support she has received since that uncomfortable to watch scene. Admittedly that accusation was ridiculous. Yes, Kim was acting wacky very odd, but crystal meth? This is, after all, Beverly Hills.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KIM’S RESPONSE? DID SHE TAKE ENOUGH RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER PART IN THE ALTERCATION? ARE YOU TEAM BRANDI OR TEAM KIM?
