Although excited for Lisa Vanderpump’s appearance at a Dodger’s game and for Lisa Rinna’sbirthday celebration, Eileen admits she was really in no mood to celebrate on this week’s episode. She reflects, “Unfortunately, it’s hard for Vince and I to watch it [the episode] without getting emotional. Recently, we lost my father-in-law Dick ‘Dickie’ Van Patten after his health had been declining. I’m so grateful to be his daughter-in-law and to have him be our sons’ grandpa. I was lucky enough to be by his side in the hospital for much of the four weeks until he passed away. He was such a tremendous light in the lives of the people he loved and knew but also the millions of fans who grew up watching him. And, as you may imagine, it’s still a difficult time for our family.”
Lisa begins, “Kyle and I met for lunch at Villa Blanca, we had a brief conversation regarding Yolanda, the season had just started, I was curious if she would be involved and to what extent as she battled with her health problems.”
While Yolanda is permanently convalescing – now in a condo far away from the palace of lemons lightly scented with love and sprinkled with the élan of Grammys – Lisa Vanderpump is getting her workout on. A workout for Lisa includes a personal trainer in the form of LA Dodgers player EJ Ellis.
Lisa will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch to celebrate LGBT pride at Dodgers stadium and she is super honored plus excited, but nervous.
Yolanda shared, “Becoming chronically ill has definitely given me a greater understanding of human nature, and I’ve learned to accept people’s lack of long-term compassion for others, while they live their busy lives. I have gone from being an outspoken multi-tasking social butterfly to a hostage of my debilitating disease. I might only be a shell of the woman I used to be, but my heart is still the same, and even though I can only do life one day at a time, I am at peace and have surrendered to my new normal–for now.”
Andy kicks off the show with reactions to David Foster and Yolanda Foster announcing their divorce. Kyle says the news came as a surprise, in the sense that she didn’t know about it ahead of time, but she adds, “I think they’ve been struggling. Yolanda’s been so sick, I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, I have no idea. It’s just really sad.”
Tonight Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills season 6 premieres! Before we get into the new drama – let’s put on our Louboutins for a walk back in time through all the drama from season 5. Obviously Brandi Glanville in her Nine West pumps was trespassing! Good lord did I love last season. LOVED IT. And I just know this season will be just as good!
Where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. Rumors have been circulating for a while now that the Fosters weren’t quite as happy as they claimed and it looks like it was true! Yolanda FosterandDavid Foster are divorcing after just four years of marriage.
They confirmed the news to People magazine this afternoon (just hours before the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere, naturally). They shared in a joint statement, “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues. “We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best. I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”
