The hilarious and complicated anti-hero of Bravo, Jeff Lewis, is finally returning to us with a brand new show, Interior Therapy With Jeff Lewis, premiering tonight at 9 pm ET!

Here is the description of the show, straight from the horse’s mouth, or press release: “Everyone’s favorite obsessive-compulsive house-flipper is taking on a new role as a home therapist in the new series following Jeff Lewis, his trusted assistant, Jenni, and his loyal housekeeper, Zoila, as they take over someone’s home to redesign not only their space, but their lives. Jeff will observe the homeowners and diagnose their problems with the goal of improving them inside and out.”

If you’re a fan of Jeff’s classic Bravo show, Flipping Out, don’t worry. In a recent interview with GoPride.com, Jeff reveals that not only is the show that made him famous, returning, they are currently filming, saying “We’re filming Flipping Out actually today.”While I’ve always thought Bethenny Frankel was Andy Cohen‘s pet student, it’s clear that Jeff is likely in second place. Who else has two active shows on the network?

In his interview with GoPride, Jeff goes into the differences between the two shows:

“Well, I think the big thing is that with Flipping Out, whenever we end the show unfortunately you don’t always get to see the finished products because we’re usually working on client’s homes, and you know when it’s done it’s done. So the problem is that you really never get to see the reveal. You never get to see it furnished or accessorized. There is a true before and after reveal, which I like because I get to see the project all the way through, and then so do the viewers.

…I guess for me after doing this for five years, I think it would be nice for people to really see what I can do because Flipping Out has been focusing on the construction end of it. We only have a week of doing these homes, we do light construction, but we do a lot more furnishing and accessories. I felt like I was kind of weak in that department, but the show has really helped strengthen my skills in this particular arena. I’m actually really proud of the reveals.”

So rejoice, there will be more real estate porn! What there won’t be, according to Jeff, are staged “happy endings.” In the following tidbit, he reveals a very interesting piece of information from backstage:

“Sometimes Jenni and I had a wonderful dynamic with the family and it was light and it was funny, and it was just great. Then other times we would walk in and it was heavy and dark. What I love about those episodes is that they were real and there was no Hollywood ending. I said whatever happens, happens, and we’re not going to produce it. We ended up losing a producer over it. I don’t know if I’m supposed to say that. But, we ended up losing a producer over that because we didn’t agree.”

In the interview, Jeff is clear that the show is not supposed to be about helping folks who are in severe need, and is quick to point out “We dig deep into relationship issues not financial ones.”

Speaking of relationship issues, the last season of Flipping Out was the first to feature Jeff’s boyfriend, Gage Edward. Previously, Jeff had been careful to leave his relationships offscreen. Not only did Gage make a splash as Jeff’s boyfriend, but he was also instrumental in firing two of Jeff’s employees, which wasn’t well-received.

Jeff reveals that it wasn’t easy on Gage to go through the reality television microscope:

“… it has brought a lot of stress because you know Gage wasn’t always depicted favorably last season of Flipping Out, and that was really hard on him because he really is a really good, nice person. He does have my back. He is very, very professional in a sense of he’s protecting my business. When we had to let go of a few people last season it wasn’t ultimately Gage’s decision; it was mine. But he did present the information, and as a result he took the heat for that. And we got a lot of very, very upsetting, nasty blogs, reviews, emails, and that was hard on him, for somebody who’s been under the radar for so long.”

It isn’t clear if Gage will be a part of Interior Therapy, or if it will just be Jeff and his ladies.

Flipping Out Jeff Lewis

Oh, so sad it’s officially the last day of Flipping Out, but do not despair because Jeff and the gang will be back sooner than later with a new Bravo reality show called “Interior Therapy” and I need to get my audition tape made ASAP. Imagine – spending a week with Jeff, Jenni, and Zoila – that’s better than free reign of Lisa Vanderpump’s closet!

Jeff and Andy break down what’s been going on in the land of Lewis since the show stopped filming and apparently Jeff has only seen Sarah twice and Trace once since they were let go of JLD. Jeff confirms he is in his new redecorated home, his income has doubled since Gage convinced him to cut the dead weight, he is definitely planning kids sooner than later, and he is now representing Zoila as her manager – he’ll be getting 90% and she still only gets free room and board. Jeff was much softer during this interview and had so many humble (for him!) moments where he admitted how much the people in his life meant to him – like when he said he couldn’t live without Gage, Zoila, and Jenni. It was nice.

Oh, sadness – it’s the season finale of Flipping Out and I miss Jeff already! Good thing we still have one more day left with him since the reunion is next week, and he puts the smack down on Trace! The season finale ended on a high, HIGH note with Jeff and Gage purchasing their dream home (not house, home) and Jenni committing to her beloved Jeffrey for the next season. You know Bravo really upped her paycheck, because frankly without Jenni there is no Flipping Out!

The episode opened with a blast from season’s past – Jeff and Jenni bickering over nonsense, like opening the garage door and Jeff, who cannot take being challenged resorts to calling Jenni “stupid.” Nice, Lewis. Gage voices his concern about Jenni working for Jeff while pursuing other options, since Jeff is so dependent on her and there is no back up plan for if Jenni gets sick of the abuse and bails!

Last night’s episode of Flipping Out featured Jeff wrestling with some of the negative aspects of the design business, such as unsatisfied clients and unethical contractors. Jeff also revealed his million-dollar idea, but sadly it’s not going to make him millions- yet!

The episode begins with the remnants of Randy, and Jeff needs to hire a new contractor ASAP because Spring Oak is already delayed. When Jeff is at the job site to inspect the status, Randy arrives and he wants guess what? His check! Jeff asks him to invoice him, but is predicting that Randy – desperate for money – will exaggerate the invoice.

Back at the office, Jeff is in talks to develop his own paint line with a company that currently is not available in America. The paint is totally green – with little to no chemicals, but must be applied with a special brush. The colors are amazing. Jeff really wants this opportunity to pan out because he considers it the “big fish,” or a way for he and Gage to move forward to the next stage of their lives. They want to buy a house and start a family of people children (even though they already have Zoila and 65 pets). Jeff is over relying on clients to pay his bills with all the unpredictability and stress of his business and is hoping the paint line will be the $300M lottery. He doesn’t want to settle for any stinkin’ single digit millions – that’s for pansies – he only wants the almost billion dollar pay out!

The theme of this season of Flipping Out is clearly firing! And last night Jeff Lewis was at it again – canning contractor Randy over money issues and disrespect for his authority. Another one bites the California dust!

Cat in a bag! Did you guys catch the cute scene of Monkey in the shopping bag? I love cat in a bag! In other animal news, Casey is acting strangely and it has nothing to do with the fact that she is surrounded by neurotics all day. Driving to Spring Oak, Jenni enthusiastically describes her friend Star, an “animal communicator” to Jeff. Can I have one for my Basset Hound?

On last night’s episode of Flipping Out, it’s the return of Stacey Ferris. Oh, joy… And Chaz Dean gives Jeff some very unfortunate news, prompting him to descend into a anger-ridden pity party that is pretty much the Jeff Lewis go-to emotional reaction.

Things start out with a walk-thru of the Cole bungalow. Chaz seems really happy with the work, but not apparently happy enough to straight up offer Jeff the job designing his New York Salon, leaving Jeff in limbo.

At West Knoll, Gage is now apparently angling to get Zoila fired! What is it with this guy?! Zoila acknowledges that Gage is gunning for her, but watch out because he, in fact, is going to be next. All this drama unfolds because Zoila catches Gage innocently washing a coffee cup dirtied from the coffee he made himself (gasp!)– Zoila calls him out on trying to make her look bad in front of Jeff. Jeff(!) defends him – claiming Gage tries to help out wherever he sees a need. Suuuuuure. Riiiiggght – he’s not at all the “quiet enemy” Zoila describes. Zoila reports that she needs a break from monitoring Gage’s sneakery to go watch her telenovelas, but don’t mistake – this bitch still cleans, Jeffrey! In all seriousness, Gage needs to go. I’m about to write Andy Cohen an intervention letter on Jeff’s behalf. Who’s with me?

On last night’s episode of Flipping Out, Jeff Lewis continues to shake things up at Jeff Lewis Design by firing Trace and promoting the fairly invisible Jett to an office job. Zoila returns to her professional duties after a few too many days watching telenovelas on pain meds, and the Chaz Dean Studio Cole remodel finally comes to an end – but not without many hiccups.

It’s employee review time at JLD! Jeff informs us he has no regrets about letting Sarah go; and in light of her firing Gage has convinced him to evaluate all of his employees. Jett will be the next one to take his turn under the magnifying glass, especially since Gage Jeff isn’t sure if he is pulling his weight around the office. Eeks – watch out Jettster! Gage probably wants you O-U-T because you’re a cutie patootie and he’s threatened! Perhaps sensing that Jeff has it out for him, Jett makes a joke about getting fired later while Gage snootily cuts him a look, like: ‘Don’t push your luck, b*tch!’

It’s Jeff Lewis Time! And after Monday night’s Housewives gone wild reunion, I am definitely ready for some fun-loving Flipping Out, but sadly this episode Sarah Berkman said good-bye. This episode was about facing the difficult reality that sometimes things just don’t work out; sometimes someone just doesn’t like you – even if you want them to really, really badly.

Things start with Jeff and Sarah rehashing the Vegas weekend in Jeff’s favorite serious discussion spot – his Mercedes! Sarah gushes about her copious alcohol consumption and Jeff subtly plugs that it was also a work weekend, so yeah not everyone could get so cray-cray. Jeff mentions that if he was given the performance review Sarah received, he definitely would have been going above and beyond to prove his dedication by showing up at the event – drunky or no drunky.
