CONFIRMED: Daphne Wayans Joins The Cast Of Hollywood Exes For Season Two

It's official… not only will Hollywood Exes be back for a second season with the original cast intact, but Daphne Wayans has been added to the cast. 

VH1 confirms Daphne's addition to show today via a press release. Daphne is the ex-wife of Keenan Ivory Wayans. They were married from 2001 to 2004 and have five children together. Daphne joins her long-time friends Nicole Murphy and Sheree Fletcher.

Today's press release also reveals that Hollywood Exes was a hit for the network!

“Our viewers fell in love with the sisterhood of the Hollywood Exes. Their friendship, humor, and common experience of crafting their next chapter in life made it a must-watch show for our audience,” says Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming & Production, VH1. “We’re extremely pleased to give VH1 viewers another great season with a gorgeous cast of strong women our audience loves to spend time with.”

Season one of Hollywood Exes averaged 1.5 million viewers. The hit show put VH1 on the 'Wednesday night' map! The network's ratings were up 108% from the same time period last year. The second season of Hollywood Exes will premiere sometime in 2013.
 
 

In case you missed season one and are thinking about tuning in for season two, a little background:

Nicole Murphy's ex is Eddie Murphy. They were married for ten years. Nicole is now engaged to Michael Strahan (Kelly Ripa's new co-host). Jessica Canseco is the former wife of Jose Canseco. They were married for four years.

Andrea Kelly came out of nowhere as the ex-wife of R Kelly. Very few people knew R Kelly was married at all, let alone for 12 years! Mayte Garcia was married to Prince for three years and later engaged to Tommy LeeSheree Fletcher was married to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air Will Smith for three years.

At one point, Tracey Edmonds, ex-wife of singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and ex-girlfriend of Eddie Murphy, and rapper Sandra “Pepa” Denton, ex-wife of rapper Anthony “Treach” Criss, were also rumored to be joining Hollywood Exes. There's no mention of either star in today's press release.
