The Real Housewives stars sure have a lot of problems when it comes to interns and , assistants! This week it’s The Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer being sued by a company that provided her with an assistant, accusing her of some super shady behavior – including a physical altercation when it was all said and done!
The lawsuit was filed by a company called T360 that provided Ramona with the assistant featured in the suit, Lisa Taubes, who agreed to work 20 hours per week for $4,000 per month. The papers allege that Taubes wound up working more than 40 hours without additional compensation and was expected to be on call 24/7 and perform duties like walking Coco, Ramona’s dog, something that was NOT in her job description.
The company is suing for $150,000 in damages.
According to the lawsuit, Ramona was also enlisting the assistant to help her scam Bravo out of money in the way of fake reimbursements. According to court documents obtained by Page Six and The Blast, Ramona would have Taubes buy designer duds for filming RHONY and submit the receipts to Bravo only to then return the clothes for refunds. The suit also alleges that Ramona “instructed Plaintiff [to] submit fake receipts for reimbursement on clothes that she already owned and demanded plaintiff carry out these tasks.”
The end of the working relationship came when Ramona fired the assistant in the lobby of her building and tried to bully her into signing an NDA, which she refused. Taubes claims that Ramona then pushed her, causing the contents of her purse to go flying across the floor in front of onlookers.
Yikes! Couldn’t Ramona just borrow some more dresses from Bethenny?
It’s interesting that Bravo is allowing Ramona a clothing allowance. Back in the day most of the Housewives had to pay their own makeup and hair teams AND had to provide their own wardrobes. So clearly some of the OG Housewives have better contracts nowadays!
I admit I find it a little hard to believe that Ramona would jeopardize her RHONY gig by doing something so shady.
