Bethenny Frankel’s Mom Calls Her “Demented” Plus Preview Bethenny Ever After

A new episode of Bethenny Ever After airs tonight at 10/9c on Bravo.

On the 6th episode this season titled “Feeing From 40,” it’s a Hoppy birthday for Bethenny—or is it? As her 40th-birthday bash draws near, Bethenny falls victim to blues and blahs, and Jason plans surprises aplenty. On edge, Bethenny distracts herself by practicing for her stint on “Skating With the Stars.” A preview clip is below.

In other news, Bethenny Frankel’s mother is once again speaking out against her following the most recent episode of BEA and the release of Bethenny’s latest book A Place of Yes, in which Bethenny opens up about her childhood issues.

“I didn’t feel like a victim as a child, and I don’t feel like one now,” Bethenny, 40, writes. But “I never felt very safe, and I never felt like I could trust that someone else was in control of the situation.”

In separate interviews, both Bethenny and her mother Bernadette Parisella Birk spoke to the HollywoodLife. “I shouldn’t have been in Vegas at 13,” Bethenny explains. “I shouldn’t have been in nightclubs at 13.”

Bernadette however insists Bethenny isn’t telling the truth about her past. “She was NOT in any nightclubs at 13, unless she was crawling out her bedroom window at night,” Bernadette tells the HollywoodLife. “But yes, we took her to Vegas with us because we were not going to leave her with a babysitter,” adds Bernadette. “We took her all over the world, she wasn’t out of my sight ever.”

Bethenny admits to the site that not all of her childhood was bad. “My childhood was not terrible,” admits Bethenny. “I had a lot of happiness — or at least a lot of fun times. I did a lot of interesting things’ — but not necessarily at an age that would have been appropriate.”

Bethenny reveals that she has no intention of reconciling with her mom for the time being. “My life is kind of the way I want it right now,” says Bethenny going on to add that her intent is not to hurt her mother with the things she wrote in her book.

But Bernadette says she isn’t buying it. “If she didn’t want me to read the parts about me in the book then why would she publish it?” Bernadette wonders. “My comment is the same as it was — I consider her to be demented and beyond help,” Bernadette says. “Reconciliation is not up to her at all. She would never want to repair anything because then all of her lies would come out.” Wowzers. A picture of Bernadette is below.
