After a whole season full of wedding planning drama, Candiace and longtime boyfriend Chris Bassett tied the knot on Saturday, August 11.
According to an article from People, Candiace and Chris tied the knot at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. The theme of the wedding is quite the mouthful: “cosmopolitan sophistication with a touch of southern class.” I have no idea how that phrase would actually constitute a theme, but it sounds like a pretty elaborate affair, especially since they had 260 guests in attendance.
Chris shared a photo of their wedding rings with the caption “Officially official #cbasswithdill #rhop #wesmarriednow @candeegal09 @candeegal.”
People pointed out that some of the Potomac Housewives were present, but did not specify which ones, although there have been some confirmations of attendance on social media.
Monique Samuels shared a photo of herself with her husband Chris Samuels captioned with “Me and my bae had such a great time celebrating some great people last night. love is in the air .” In another post, Monique wrote, “We were off to see the beautiful bride @candeegal09 and handsome groom @cbassett33 What a fab couple!!! So happy for them!”
Karen Huger posted a video on Instagram with the caption “BELLS RANG OVER THE WEEKEND! A #wedding wish for you #mrs #rhop.” In the video she mentioned a “special wedding.” Karen also said “Our dear heart is getting married today. I can’t say who.” She did not mention Candiace or Chris in that post, but it would be an awfully crazy coincidence if she happened to be at another wedding on the same day.
It’s unclear if anyone else from the cast showed up, but Candiace did make it clear (several times) that she did not want to invite a certain costar to her wedding.
TELL US- DO YOU WANT CANDIACE TO RETURN FOR A SECOND SEASON OF REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC?
