The Police Officer Who Arrested Luann de Lesseps Just Got Fired

If it were up to me, Season 11 of the Real Housewives of New York would debut tonight. The ladies of RHONY always deliver on the drama. I am here for it! One member of the cast, in particular, has been a big focus over the past several seasons and that would be none other than the new queen of cabaret, Luann de Lesseps.

It feels like a lifetime ago but it has only been a couple of years since Luann took viewers through the dizzying whirlwind relationship and short-lived marriage to the unfaithful Tom D’Agostino. After the divorce, Luann held her head high and seemed to have it all together. She even admitted to Bethenny Frankel that she should have listened to her and not married Tom.

But in reality, all was not well with the Countess. During Christmas of 2017, Luann was arrested in Palm Beach for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Luann is doing much better now. She has gone to rehab and is regularly performing in her cabaret show, Countess and friends. However, in an interesting little twist that just came to light, the police officer who Luann assaulted during her arrest just got fired!

According to an article from TheBlast, Deputy Steven O’Leary lost his job “over allegedly unsubstantiated arrests.” For instance, the Deputy had several narcotics arrests and the evidence ended up testing false. The article also states, “9 people have been released over the erroneous arrests.”

With all the false arrests this officer made, it almost makes you think Luann could still be innocent. Too bad that’s not the case though. Per the article, after Luann assaulted the officer, “Photos released after the incident showed O’Leary with visible injuries to his face.”

Guess there’s no getting out of that one for Luann. Let’s hope the drama in the upcoming season of RHONY doesn’t include any more arrests of the Countess!
