Kandi Burruss Explains Why She Joined Celebrity Big Brother; Shares Her Strategy

The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers know that Kandi Burress is uber competitive. We can’t wait to see how her competitive prowess plays out on this season of Celebrity Big Brother.

Kandi won’t be the first Real Housewife to be a Big Brother houseguest. In its first season, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Brandi Glanville, made it to day 24 out of 26 after two back to back nominations for eviction. What will be Kandi’s strategy to avoid getting dragged in this b*tch put on the block?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Kandi explained, “I’m gonna try not to allow anybody to have time without me. Meaning, like, when I see people breaking off on their own—I’m gonna go, like, ‘Oh hey! What’s up?”

Kandi continued, “Because from the few episodes that I saw, it’s like those people who go and have, like, these sidebar conversations—they are plotting. So I’m like, ‘Ok. I don’t want anybody to plot when I’m not there.’ I wanna always be amongst the big group.”

Here’s hoping she can find the time to glance at any a few more of those Big Brother episodes; it’s important to have a strong social game, but historically its been beneficial to lay low after establishing yourself in the house.

Kandi added, “I notice they have some bedrooms that are, like, four and some that are two. Now, in real life, I would normally pick the room that has the least amount of people. But in this situation, I’m gonna pick the room that has the most amount of people, because you get to bond with those people. That means more people on your side, right? And more people that can’t talk about you when you’re not around!” I’d say that’s not a bad start!

So, why did Kandi decide to join the Celebrity Big Brother cast? She discussed leaving home in order to be televised competing for charity with a bunch psychopaths celebrity houseguests with her daughter Riley Burruss.

Kandi said Riley was “gung ho”, “super excited.” Riley told. Kandi, “You should do it.” Looks like we really have Riley to thank for encouraging Kandi to take the leap!
