Billie Lee Rants About Lack Of Diversity On Vanderpump Rules

There are approximately 935,226,262 cast members on Vanderpump Rules. It’s just impossible for them all to get an equal amount of screen time. Each episode only has around forty-two minutes of footage. There can only be so many storylines. Short story long, this is an ensemble cast.

Within that ensemble cast there are main cast members and supporting cast members. Billie Lee is one of those supporting cast members. We never see scenes of her alone. She’s pretty much only on screen if she’s arguing with someone else or if she’s defending James Kennedy. She is not happy with her lack of screentime the lack of representation at the reunion. And she’s speaking out.

On Twitter, Billie said, “My take on the #vanderpump reunion. Let the minority speak! Not one person of color not one person of LGBTQ. (Besides myself and the host) You give her only five minutes and you speak over her.” Billie, you are not a main cast member. How much do you have to say about the season? This show is about a preexisting group of friends and their significant others that they brought into the group. When it comes down to it, Billie just wasn’t a part of many storylines.

Nevertheless, she really couldn’t get a word in edgewise at the reunion. And Lala Kent is rude as hell. Of course, she’s not going to let you speak ever. Is that OK? No. But, ever since Lala’s BJs got the cast on those PJs, they are all #TeamLala.

Billie also talked about the reunion in an Instagram post. She began, “When a minority is given a platform to explain herself and her experience you should be silent and listen. The Vanderpump reunion is just another reflection of what’s going on in America.”

Billie continued, “People are starving suffering and being murdered for just being who they are yet no one is listening. Our planet our only home is overheating and no one is listening. For all of you who do get it, who do listen. I love you. Together we will rise up and save humanity. Namaste.”

Billie is right when she says that there isn’t a great amount of diversity on the show, but is that why she’s not getting a lot of screen time? Or is that a non-factor?

TELL US- WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT BILLIE’S COMMENTS? DOES HER LACK OF SCREEN TIME HAVE TO DO WITH BEING A MINORITY WITHIN THE CAST DEMOGRAPHICS?
