Dorinda Medley Reacts To Luann de Lesseps Latest Legal Woes

Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps have been treading lightly on their relationship.  They had a good heart to heart earlier in the season of Real Housewives of New York that seemed to put them on the right track. But since Luann started her cabaret performances, she’s been all consumed with playing the diva both onstage and off.  There’s been little time for anything other than the adoration of the Countess fans.

But publicly, Dorinda has nothing but kind words for Luann.  And since Luann is currently trading in her rotund house in upstate New York for more legal issues stemming from her Palm Beach arrest.

Dorinda spoke to Page Six about .  She describes feeling deeply for Luann in this situation, “I was heartbroken and I wish her well.  I know it’s a terribly hard journey and we are all rooting for her.  I lit a candle for her yesterday.”

Dorinda likened the situation losing her late husband, Richard, in 2011.  Dorinda described that lowest point in her life, “I know she probably can’t believe it now because I will say this, when Richard got terribly sick and died, there is something positive that will come out of that. I know it’s darkness before dawn, but there is always something wonderful, positive thing that will come out of it.”

Luann has been on a downward spiral since divorcing ex-husband Tom D’Agostino. She was arrested in 2017 for attacking and threatening to kill a police officer while under the influence of alcohol. Luann was given a twelve-month probationary period as a result.

However, Luann failed her court mandated probation and was taken into custody Thursday.  It turns out the glamorous life of a cabaret star came with too much temptation. Luann admitted to consuming 2 mimosas during one of her performances in Chicago.

Luann responded about the alleged violations.  Her rep told Page Six that, “the reports have not been accurate so I’m glad the judge was understanding after being made aware of the facts. I look forward to completing the last couple months of probation and getting this entire situation behind me and moving on with my life.”
