Jill Zarin returns to RHONY for season 9

Jill Zarin Is Upset That Bethenny Frankel “Doesn’t Have Time” For Her

Say what you will about Real Housewives of New York alum Jill Zarin, but you must admire her persistence. In 2011, Jill was fired from the show along with Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord. Since then, Jill has been on a quest recapture her Housewife apple. She has made cameo appearances on the show but hasn’t been offered a contract as a full-time Housewife or a Friend of the Housewives.

Jill has dealt with some serious heartache in her personal life. In January of 2018, her beloved husband, and popular fixture on RHONY, Bobby Zarin, passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Bravo cameras rolled outside Bobby’s funeral as Jill and former bestie Bethenny Frankel put aside their differences and seemingly made peace. Of course, many thought that filming at her husband’s funeral was in poor taste. And now, Jill has found love again with Gary Brody.

In an appearance on TalkShopLive, Jill shared that she is not sure what her future will be on RHONY. “The thing was, what I filmed was inviting them to a birthday party I was having, and they didn’t wanna come,” Jill said. “The girls didn’t wanna do it, so it just never happened.” That is so sad. Jill is unsure how many of the scenes that she filmed will air this season.

HollywoodLife reports that Jill threw some premium shade at Bethenny during an interview on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. It doesn’t sound like the two ladies are in a great place.  “It’s definitely better than it’s ever been since that whole thing happened. But she doesn’t have time for me, and I’m sad about that,” Jill stated. “But I understand it. I really do, and I really tried to see if [we could be friends again] –and not because I want to be back on the show.”

Host Jeff Lewis told Jill that she should return to the reality show on a full-time basis. Jill responded, “Whether I’m friends with her or not, it shouldn’t matter. What I’m saying is, whether I’m on the show or not– because I always have mixed feelings — I don’t want to go back full-time anyway. I’d like it to be [as] a ‘friend.’” Come on! We all know that Jill would love to be a Housewife again.

Still, Jill isn’t ruling out a return, and she teased that she would bring something new and fresh for RHONY fans. “What I bring now is a very different Jill. And I think that the fans want to see that,” she explained.
