Shannon Beador Says Vicki Gunvalson Is Still An Integral Part Of Real Housewives Of Orange County

Say what you will about Real Housewives of Orange County, but these women put it all out there. I may be the only one who watched the premiere, but from the first moment it was made clear that these women are going to show up for work by bringing their most uncomfortable issues on camera. This is more than we can say about the women of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

At the center of the premiere episode, was all of the drama rotating throughout Gina Kirschenheiter’s life. The details about her DUI do not make her look good. Mom parties need not include roadies and getting behind the wheel. Needless to say, Gina’s had a rough go and it looks like we’ll see a lot of it. It also looks like we’ll see a lot of Shannon Beador making out and doing squats. One thing that felt off about the premiere, however, was that there was no Vicki Gunvalson. This left me feeling as though it’s truly the end of an era – I mean we didn’t even get one Woohoo at all!

That all will change as the season progresses. In an interview with TooFab, Shannon shared that, “Vicki might not be holding an orange, but she is an integral part of the show, and she always will be.” Duh.

Shannon continued, sharing that, “Most of the time when I was filming in a group setting, I was with her, so she is present in the show.”

Shannon even gave props to one-third of the phony Tres Amigas saying, “There’s not many people that can say — there certainly aren’t many, if any, actors that can say — that they were on a successful television show for 14 years, but yet, she can. She’s done something that most haven’t.”

This is true. Vicki, like many Bravolebrities, is glaringly ordinary and has managed to stay on our screens for 14 years. For anyone that thought reality TV would fade away, take note. Shannon also teased that the final episode of Season 14 features “one hell of an engagement party” for the OG of the OC. That party better be at Andales!

For the first time in years, I think RHOC can deliver. People have been hard on this series and I think some of it is misdirected. RHOBH has been equally stale in recent years, but people cut them slack because they can display materialism better than any franchise. The women of RHOC may not have private jets, but they do put real parts of their lives out there. If you’re up for giving it one more chance, I believe this is the season to do it.

TELL US- WILL YOU STILL WATCH RHOC WITHOUT VICKI? DID YOU FEEL VICKI’S ABSENCE? ARE YOU HAPPY SHE’LL STILL BE PLAYING AN INTEGRAL ROLE IN THE SHOW?
