Does anyone else remember when Christian Siriano said he doesn’t dress Real Housewives because they never pay for their clothes? Well, he just revealed that there’s one exception to that rule. According to the Project Runway star, one Real Housewife always pays her invoices, and she’s fairly new to the Bravo scene.
Christian Siriano defends RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport against allegations she doesn’t pay
In a conversation with Page Six, Christian claimed that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newbie Bronwyn Newport was one of the few Bravo stars who actually pays for their clothes. It’s a revelation that arrived after the newbie spent her rookie season on Housewives sharing questionable stories about her jewelry purchases.
“Bronwyn still pays,” Christian told the outlet. “Bronwyn bought two dresses yesterday, so anyone that says Bronwyn doesn’t pay … She does!”
As for the rest of the Real Housewives, they’re still not on Christian’s list. He previously explained that his business couldn’t exist as an “endless closet,” and he didn’t want to waste resources dressing Real Housewives for free.
“I think if you’re winning an Oscar, it’s a little different,” he said at the time. “If you’re going to win an Oscar in it, no problem. A little different than, like, going to the corner store on the episode of the Housewives.”
With that in mind, it’s worth noting that Kandi Burruss recently stepped out in a Christian Siriano gown. Obviously, she wasn’t going to the corner store. She was walking the red carpet at the opening night of Othello, the record-breaking Broadway play she produced. No need to question whether or not she paid for it. We know she can afford it, just like Bronwyn.
