Entertainment Tonight recently visited Terra Jole andJoe Gnoffo at home to check in on the little couple after the high-risk delivery of their baby girl, Penelope, on March 16. Terra and Joe have been documenting Terra’s pregnancy and her baby’s birth on Lifetime’sLittle Women: Terra’s Little Family. Terra’s pregnancy was considered high risk due to the forms of dwarfism she and Joe have and the series has provided a glimpse into the fears and joys the couple has shared along the way. Facing health concerns like the risk of having a double-dominant child (a condition in which double-dominant dwarfism genes prove fatal for a newborn), the couple were overjoyed to welcome a healthy 6-pound, 2-ounce little girl this spring!
Penelope may face health concerns down the road; still, Terra and Joe hope for the best: “She doesn’t have any part of my dwarfism,” Joe told ET. “It’s all [Terra’s]. I’ve had a bunch of leg surgeries and scoliosis and stuff. We’re hoping that, because she’s just Terra’s type that she’ll be able to avoid that.” Terra added, “We don’t know in the future if she’s going to need leg surgery or back surgery. All of these things are very common with achondroplasia [a form of short-limbed dwarfism], but all we can do is give her the best life that she can have.” Terra is four foot, two inches tall and 90 pounds, which Penelope could grow to be as well.
It’s part two of the Little Women: L.A.reunion show and this time, the men are joining the little ladies to sling some mud. But of course they are!
Back to host part 2 of the reunion, and to go hard at Christy McGinty, is Tanika Ray. We rejoin the group with Lila Call (of Little Women: N.Y.) defending her past relationship with the great and powerful Joe. Terra Jole is still bothered by Lila’s texts & calls to Joewhile Terra and Joe have been in a relationship.Tonya Banksjumps in to tell Lila, “I really wanted to whoop your ass” in Catalina but adds that she “didn’t want to catch a case” so she refrained. Lila asks if Tonya paid a writer for that line and Tonya’s grouchy face hits level 10. “I can be classy and I can be ratchet!” yells Tonya. Lila ignores her at first, then finally snaps, “Just shut up!” to Tonya, which provokes Tonya to hop off the couch and go at her (well, kinda…before a very pregnant Terra fake-holds her back). Instead of assaulting her, Tonya finally ends it all with “You need to take your dildo and go f*ck yourself back to New York!” OMG. These women, especially Tonya, need a bar of soap shoved in their ratchet mouths STAT. Lila’s had enough, so she decides to get up and leave, saying, “I’m better than this.” Terra and Tonya yell “BYE! BYE!” like middle school mean girls while Christy tries to follow Lila out to make sure she doesn’t drink. But Christy stays instead and attempts to address Tonya’s ridiculous behavior…to no avail. Someone needs to pull out a dog bone and tell Tonya to go fetch.
Terra Jole is taking her pregnancy, and her drama, to a new series that will revolve exclusively around…who else? HER! Little Women: Terra’s Little Family, which premieres April 8 on Lifetime, will document Terra Jole’s high risk pregnancy in near real-time footage (aka: Tori & Dean style) leading up to the baby’s delivery. The show will also look back on the ups and downs of Terra’s pregnancy, as documented largely on Little Women LA.
On this season’s LWLA – finale coming this Wednesday! – Terra and Joe Gnoffo have had cameras following them into doctor’s appointments and social situations that have tested their relationship and exposed the health risks of Little Person pregnancy. Facing serious concerns like the high risk of having a double-dominant child (a condition in which double-dominant dwarfism genes prove fatal for a newborn), Terra and Joe will take us through the last months of her pregnancy via 10 episodes.
