Rumor has it that Tinsley Mortimer isn’t making as great of an impact as people were hoping for on Real Housewives of New York. Apparently she wanted RHONYto be her comeback into New York City society and the people behind the show wanted her to breathe some new life into Housewives. It’s being reported that neither has happened.
Not only that, but apparently some of the cast members aren’t big fans of Tinsley– how shocking, the cast members not warming up to the new girl. Unfortunately that’s not a novel concept, but it will be interesting to see how Tinsley comes off on the show after the not-so-nice rumors that have spread about her time filming this season.
It looks like Luann de Lesseps wants to contribute more to the entertainment industry aside from being a star on Real Housewives of New York and performing unforgettable songs like “Money Can’t Buy You Class”- no shade there, I actually really do like that song, but in a comedic sort of way. Now the newly minted Mrs. D’Agostino is trying her hand at acting.
That’s right, the artist formerly known as the countess is in a movie. I have no idea what this film is about or how big Luann’s part is, but I’m sure at least a clip will surface in due time.
The last Real Housewives of New York reunion was awkward for many reasons, but one of the standout moments for me was when Bethenny Frankel called her new boyfriend Dennis Shields‘ daughter to verify that they did not have an affair and that she’s on good terms with the family. That was beyond cringe-worthy and the complete opposite of being low key. Apparently, that moment was a lot less significant than it seemed because Bethenny says their relationship isn’t that serious.
I’m not sure if Bethenny is taking a step back or if she’s just clarifying a story that’s been out there for a while. It could also have to do with the legal drama stemming from Bethenny and ex husband Jason Hoppy’s confrontation at their daughter Bryn‘s school. Either way, Bethenny is making it clear that this relationship with Dennis is not super serious – at all.
In my opinion, the ladies on Real Housewives of New York were way too hard on Sonja Morgan last season. From criticizing her (attempted) business ventures to her partying habits, everyone was coming for her. So, Sonja shut them all up and decided to stop drinking.
No one is perfect, but Sonja was unfairly treated as a human punching bag last season. So it will be interesting to see how people interact with her next season since she has been sober for so long and is surprisingly successful with her clothing line. On a recent podcast, Sonja opened up about what it is like being on the show, having regrets, and the other women’s drinking.
Of all the things RHONY has taught me it’s that one should never invest in property with a significant other. After separating from Jason Hoppy, Bethenny moved into a Skinny Girl decorated pad in SoHo, but barely two years later, she’s listing it for $5.25.
I would absolutely love it if New York ended up becoming a cast member on RHONY. That would absolutely make my life and I would love to see her coming for Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer. It would be my dream come true. So what is going on?
We’ve been ranking all the Real Housewives from every season, every franchise and its finally down to the final few. The queens of Bravo, if you will. Click here for Part 1 and Part 2 of our ranking.
What separates a good Housewife from a great one? For me, it’s the longevity of their dramas. Will their actions or comments forever define a franchise as Teresa Giudice‘s table flip did for New Jersey, or NeNe Leakes‘ “Close your legs to married men, Wig!” on Atlanta? A great Housewife doesn’t necessarily have to be likable, but she does have to be memorable, and defining. When you think of a particular show which Housewife comes to mind.
