The 90 Day Fiance franchise is a highly entertaining guilty pleasure that fans can’t seem to get enough of. The series expanded to include Happily Ever After, Before the 90 Days, and 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Watching each batch of outrageous couples making questionable decisions never gets old. Seriously, where do they find these people? Some are so deluded that they ignore all reason and red flags to continue with the partner they’ve chosen.
Maybe part of the appeal is watching people that should know better self-implode. Some are clearly confusing physical attraction with “love.” Others seem to court dysfunction time and again. Let’s face it, some are just looking for their 15 minutes of fame. So far, the couples are varying in age. We have young lovebirds like Omar Albakour and Avery Mills, but also Angela Deem who is hanging on to her fertility by one lonesome little egg. So the question is, where do we go from here in terms of a new angle?
Reality TV and the desire to stay relevant makes for strange bedfellows. Someone who had watched the dynamic between Colt Johnson, ex-wife Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and her new boyfriend Eric Nichols on the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After season 4 reunion would never guess how these relationships ended up. At the reunion, Colt professed his ongoing love for Larissa. Larissa responded by parading her new boyfriend, Eric, onscreen.
Colt descended into a rage while Larissa smirked into the camera. They had no contact after that. But that all changed recently when Larissa ended her relationship with Eric after less than a year of dating. She explained that she had jumped into the relationship too quickly and needed time to work on herself. This was shortly after Larissa revealed that she was battling depression and anxiety as a result of her arrests. Larissa claimed there were, “no hard feelings or regrettees.” But does Eric feel the same way?
90 Day Fiance train-wreck duo Jay Smith and Ashley Martson were seen partying together at the same event over the weekend. This is the first time the former couple were publicly together in awhile and it is a questionable encounter since Ashley had filed a Protection From Abuse Order against Jay on July 1st. He violated the order and had a warrant issued for his arrest. A mere 2 days later, Jay turned himself in to authorities.
Jay was taken into ICE custody for over four weeks and upon his release, was picked up from the detention center by then girlfriend, Kayla O’Brien. Depending on who you ask, this was the woman that Jay started a relationship with while still married to Ashley.
New York Fashion Week was the place to be for reality TV star sightings. Tinsley Mortimer returned to the runway as a model. Real Houswives of New York stars Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley were on hand to support. Sonja even hosted a fashion show of her own.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG Kyle Richards had her first fashion week show. Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, and Denise Richards had a great time walking in Kyle’s show. On the other hand, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was not happy about her reception at fashion week. She admitted that she cried in response to the criticism about her walk, which is odd since she didn’t cry when Kyle made fun of it on RHOBH last season.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima got under ex-husband Colt Johnson’s skin during the 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Tell when she brought her new man Eric Nichols into her Skype interview.
Now, Larissa is a single lady yet again.
Good for Eric. Poor Eric. The man found out that they split when his own mother saw Larissa’s post on her Instagram page.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima may be living her best life right now. After a dysfunctional marriage that was documented on 90 Day Fiance, the Brazilian beauty is happy with devoted partner Eric Nichols. Larissa has become somewhat of an Instagram influencer with posts about dieting, fashion, and cosmetic procedures.
Ex-husband Colt Johnson and his mother Debbie Johnson threatened Larissa with deportation after the dissolution of the marriage. And after three arrests for domestic violence, Larissa feared for her immigration status. Luckily, she avoided any jail time and claims that she will be receiving a green card. But it seems that all the stress of those arrests did come with a price.
Larissa Dos Santos Lima celebrated her birthday this weekend. The 90 Day Fiance star chose the same club where she hosted a divorce party earlier this year. Larissa looked fabulous with boyfriend Eric Nichols at her side. Love is a great beautician, and a bit of fillers and botox can’t hurt either.
Larissa, arguably, deserves a bit of happiness. She really didn’t have a great marriage with Colt Johnson. Regardless of taking sides, it just didn’t work between them. Larissa met Eric shortly after they split. Colt went public with a new girl in July and Larissa responded positively. Maybe it’s easier to be forgiving to a bad relationship when you’re in a good one.
Ashley Martson and Jay Smith may have imploded before our eyes on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, but that doesn’t mean that either party is ready to step out of the limelight just yet. Their premise for being on the show is over, but these two aren’t going away anytime soon. And if you thought Ashley wouldn’t comment on her ex-husband’s new relationship, you clearly haven’t been keeping up.
Some fans called it right away. Jay was too young and immature. Fidelity was not his strong suit, and Ashley ignored major red flags about his behavior in Jamaica. She banked on Jay changing his ways once he was States-side, and we all know how that turned out. Their relationship brought out a special kind of classy. There were multiple filings for divorce, bathroom hookups, and a notorious tinder account that materialized the day after the wedding.
