Denise Richards is firmly in the hot seat at The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. Almost everyone has something they want to confront her about. They better get all of their frustrations out while they can because they won’t be able to much longer. Unfortunately the one person who won’t get to confront Denise is Brandi Glanville. Despite the alleged hookup between them being at the forefront at the end of the season, she won’t be there. How is that fair?
Watching Lisa Rinna’s friendship with Denise fall apart over the season has been an unexpected development. It’s sad to see a friendship like this crash and burn over a TV show. At the same time though, it must be difficult to be a good friend when you’re friend is constantly lying. It’s easy to call Rinna a horrible friend, but is she? She sees Denise is lying at every turn, and her job is to call out stuff like that. Just saying! Maybe they’ll get past it here.
Who is ready for Teddi Mellencamp’s baby shower? NOBODY. Nobody asked for this. Somehow, she is still a Housewife, and we are being forced to endure this. The only fun thing coming out of this will be Dorit Kemsley vs Brandi Glanville. For the most part, all of the women appear to believe Brandi. Dorit isn’t about that. Let’s find out what happens when Brandi is confronted by a Denise Richards defender for the first time.
Last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills saw the end of the Rome trip. What a trip from hell it turned out to be for Denise. Her friendship with Lisa Rinna will likely never be the same again. That’s what will happen when you don’t have your friend’s back. However, it’s hard to have someone’s back that is clearly lying through their teeth.
Lisa Rinna has always brought the drama on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For that, we appreciate her. But the drama she brings cross lines and make her look like some voice of reason. Whether it was the Yolanda Hadid has Munchausen syndrome story, the Kim Richards is close to death story, or this season’s Denise Richards pile on– Rinna dishes it out. But does she ever really take it?
She might talk about “owning it”, but that usually comes with some Emmy caliber crying-for-the-cameras. Point being, when someone questions Rinna’s motives, behavior, opinions, life, anything to do with her – she cannot handle it. Exhibit A is from the most recent episode of RHOBH. Garcelle Beauvais questioned if Rinna’s underwear dances on social media may have impacted Amelia Gray Hamlin’s body image. Rinna said no thoughtfully enough, and the women moved on. Yet months after this happened in rrealtime Garcelle’s getting the response Rinna has been waiting to give.
The addition of Garcelle Beauvais to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast has been nothing short of a miracle. I get that this season hasn’t exactly been a comeback, but I’m guessing her bitch flower might bloom in her second year. That is, if Lisa Rinna doesn’t scare her away first. This lady is already telling Garcelle she’ll be targeted if she returns. What the hell? Garcelle has even unfollowed Lisa on social media.
If you watched the most recent episode, you might have sensed the weird vibes between Lisa and Garcelle. Lisa, of course, is too self-involved to have noticed all the non-joyous reactions to her stories of dancing in Instagram. Since seeing the show though, she’s got a different tune.
Brandi also tells the group that Denise is “not who she pretends to be.” How vague. Does she talk about their alleged hookup tonight as well? Or will they continue to drag this storyline out even longer without actually sharing any details with us?
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is picking up. This will hopefully be the week we transition away from that mom-shaming storyline about “hypocrite” Denise Richards and onto some interesting content courtesy of Brandi Glanville. Seriously, we need it! The only truly exciting visual last week was Kris Jenner, Kathy Hilton, and The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick sitting all bored on that couch at Kyle Richards’ black and white party.
While Lisa Rinna’s “conversation” with Camille Grammer made for some light entertainment, we need more. I don’t agree with Rinna ruining a decades long relationship with Denise for a TV show, but I do applaud her for going the extra mile for a scene. Whatever you might think about her, I don’t believe she’d force her daughters to appear on RHOBH.
This season, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans have seen more of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin. She has utilized this platform to promote her clothing line and to open up about her struggles with an eating disorder.
While some viewers find Lisa and Amelia’s candid conversations to be compelling, there are some who aren’t that interested in the content. Furthermore, there are actually some trolls who had the nerve to accuse Amelia of pretending to have an eating disorder just to be on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Harry Hamlin is definitely one of the most low-key House Husbands. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna’s hubby is not one for drama or publicity. He is not a lawsuit lightning rod like PK Kemsley. Or a shameless business promoter like Mauricio Umansky. Harry pops up on the show on occasion, but avoids Lisa’s pot-stirring shenanigans. Maybe Harry is trying to protect his image as a serious actor. Lest we forget, Harry has appeared on LA Law and Mad Men and he also starred in the landmark film Making Love.
You have to wonder what Harry thinks about his lovely bride being on RHOBH. Lisa is a notorious attention seeker, who has acted as an unwilling Kim Richard’s’ sobriety counselor, has performed stripper moves on tables and makes tasteless jokes about her “pill bag.” To put it nicely, Mrs. Hamlin can be a handful. However, it is clear that Harry loves her anyway. Part of the secret of the success of their marriage might be that Harry chooses not to know everything about Lisa–and their daughters.
