Stop me if you’ve heard this one before — on tonight’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it’s a Jersey Shore party house, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and a whole mess of alcohol. You know what’s about to happen? I knew you’ve heard this scenario before. Well, keep reading anyway.
The show starts off with the remnants of DJ Pauly D’s birthday party — the last party with everyone and a whole mess of alcohol. Pauly D called it a success even with the Jen Harley/Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Chris Larangeira/Angelina Pivarnick dramas. It’s the next morning and Pauly D is on his way to his next gig, but everyone else is eating breakfast and nursing their hangovers. Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farleyand Vinny Guadagnino leave first and Jenni talks about getting a house for everyone at the Shore for vacation.
The weight loss of Snooki, star of the Jersey Shore, continues to make headlines. Last week, we reported on this and posted some after photos of the Snooks. Well, we now have some more photos for you below!
As we reported, Snooki, who is only 4’9″, lost her weight the old fashioned way via diet and exercise. “As everyone’s planning their night at the club, I’m wondering when Gold’s [Gym] closes,” she recently tweeted. And in an older interview with PEOPLE magazine, Snooki talked about her healthier lifestyle. “[I have] egg whites in the morning and chicken and salads,” she said. “And if you do drink, it’s gotta be clear liquors.”
No more throwing back Long Island Iced Teas or margaritas for Snooki as she reveals her new drink of choice is a lighter option: vodka with seltzer water.
With season 4 of Jersey Shore set to begin filming in Italy any day now, Snooki worries about falling of her diet and fitness wagon. “All we’re gonna eat is pasta,” she said. “I’m very, very scared – drinking wine and having spaghetti all day [would] throw me off course.”
Snooki also got herself some new leopard print hair extensions as she tweeted days ago, “My new hair! Leopard Print Extensions underneath ! #LOVE.” So yeah, a photo of Snooki’s leopard print extensions below as well more photos of her weight loss.
Two months after getting engaged to beau Dave Kovacs, the former Jersey Shoretroublemaker star confirmed her pregnancy to TMZ. And yes, the baby is courtesy of her fiance Dave. Hey, you never know these days.
The self-anointed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island wouldn’t confirm how far along she is but congrats to Angelina! A picture of Angelina and Dave below.
UPDATE – Snooki tweeted on May 27 that she helped slim down with the help of the Zantrex weight loss supplement. “I really do look good! #Sn00ki♥@Zantrex!” tweeted Snooki.

MTV is once again stirring up controversy with the debut of their new show – Jersey Shore. The show, which follows a group of 20 something year old Italians as they live and work on the Garden State’s shoreline, has been criticized by some Italian American groups as being offensive and reinforcing stereotypes of Italian-Americans.
UNICONational — the “Largest Italian American Service Organization in the USA” — claims they “can’t keep up with the volume of calls” from “outraged” Italian Americans. They added that it should be pulled from the air. The backlash doesn’t end there, as advertisers – Domino’s and American Family Insurance have requested that their ads be pulled from the show.
MTVhowever continues to stand by the show. “We understand that this show is not intended for every audience and depicts just one aspect of youth culture,” MTV’s spokesman told Fox News on Tuesday. “Our intention was never to stereotype, discriminate or offend.”
The cast of Jersey Shore can be seen continuously referring to themselves as “Guidos” and “Guidettes” on the show. Both terms have long been found to be offensive to Italians.
One of the cast members, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, however defends the use of the term ‘Guido.’ “The older generation doesn’t understand. These days in New York and New Jersey a ‘guido’ is a good-looking Italian male that likes to have fun and a ‘guidette’ is a good-looking Italian girl,” Mike tells EW.com.
I actually saw the premier episode of this show and was a bit surprised to see the term “Guido,” be used so frequently by the cast. Always assumed the term was offensive. Other than that, the show pretty much fell in line with all the other MTV reality shows, such as the Real World. It was pretty much the same formula – follow a group of 20 something year olds as they get drunk, and make complete asses of themselves on national television. It’s likely the show is here to stay as it premiered to rather good ratings, the premier episode was seem by a total of 1.4 million viewers.
