“The whole show is a phony!” George laments. “It is not comprised of real housewives. It should be called Divorced Housewives, Single Housewives or Non-Resident Housewives.”
George claims that it was Aviva who brought in all the ratings last season! Wait, I thought that was Ramonja? “They should have never let Aviva go,” George complains. “The ratings were at 2 million, then down to 1.3 million. And the only reason the ratings went up recently is because Aviva threw her leg.”
Aviva was nominated for RHONY by friend Bethenny Frankeland claims she was apprehensive about joining the show. “When I was approached to be on RHONY my first response was “Absolutely not. Those women are nuts.” But Aviva’s decision was swayed by the opportunities that could arise through being on Bravo… such as “writing” her book Leggy Blonde. “I was interested to learn about the reality television process and culture, and I was excited to have a job! I had been a stay at home mom for 10 years, which can be mind-numbing,” Aviva shares.
After being missing from several intros earlier in the season, Aviva was back (and with her revolting father). Rumor was Aviva was temporarily fired for being a complete diva and refusing to attend mandatory cast functions.
The entire time the cast has been filming in Montana (yes – they're STILL there! #MostBoringHWTripEver!), Aviva has not made an appearance or been featured in the intro. Aviva claimed she could not attend the trip due to extreme asthma – asthma no one had ever heard of before.
Andy Cohen explains why Aviva's appearance have been so scattered and the truth behind her Scooby Doo style intro! "She's not in about five or six of the episodes this season," Andy reminds us.
Aviva Drescher was reportedly given the mid-season axe by Bravo producers for failing to meet filming obligations, but then they recanted and allowed her to return.
Aviva heartily denies she was put on probation and continues to insist that her position on Real Housewives of New Yorkwas never in jeopardy. "I didn't go to the Berkshires because I had to go visit my kids at sleepaway camp so I didn't film that weekend," Aviva told Elisa DiStefano at the Southampton Animal Shelter's Wine Tasting Benefit.
It's interesting that Aviva continues to deny the probation considering her intro was removed from the show's opening credits! "I'm going to be on the rest of the season," Aviva continues. "But if they do ever fire me, it's not something I would get depressed about. I could live with that."
Aviva was missing from last week's Real Housewives of New York credits and will be for the next few weeks. Aviva was reportedly given a warning by producers and the network for refusing to attend cast trips and honor her contract. Aviva was "disciplined by producers" with a forced three-episode hiatus," a source tells Radar Online – basically they told her get in line or get out! I mean, "image consultant" Amanda Sanders was waiting in the wings, right?!
We noticed that last night Aviva's intro was cut from the beginning of Real Housewives of New York. Of course that got our minds whirling – does that mean we'll never get to know how her leg gets thrown? Did she quit the show mid-season? What happened?
Reportedly it's all a ratings ploy by Bravo! Aviva will be absent from a couple episodes. She wasn't able to attend Heather Thomson's trip to The Berkshires because of a family commitment and according to NaughtyButNiceRob she refused to attend a subsequent cast trip to Montana.
