Porsha Williams Real Housewives Of Atlanta

This is set to be the most monumental season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. From the pandemic to the focus on Black Lives Matter, and of course StripperGate, it’s going to be SO JUICY. Our favorite peaches always deliver no matter what. Porsha Williams has ascended to her spot as the new Queen Of ATL with her protesting against police brutality. Who knew she had it in her? That’s what we call a personal glow up.

While some might find it boring, the emphasis on the personal storylines is the reset this show needed. Last season was toxic because of the feud between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes. With the exit of the latter woman, we can finally recalibrate and have a great season again. Plus, these are the real issues going on in the world. It’s fascinating to be able to view them in this lens.

Kandi Burruss isn't ready for Porsha Williams' Apology

It’s great that the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members are so open with their lives. They have shared some very relatable struggles over the years, but did the show go too far when the cameras captured Kandi Burruss’s daughter Riley Burruss getting so upset when her absentee father Block Spencer tried to talk with her? He was gone for most of her life and here he is talking about how excited he is about the birth of his new son.

That had to be very difficult for a fifteen-year-old girl to handle, let alone in front of the cameras and all of the critics on social media.

Kenya Moore

In a rare occasion, Kenya Moore was actually not a part of the drama during the last Real Housewives of Atlanta episode. Most of the ratchetness focused on the accusations Porsha Williams made against Kandi Burruss about secretly being a lesbian and her husband Todd Tucker cheating on her under the alias “Marvin.”

While Porsha really went in with the rumor spreading and instigating, Kenya was calm, cool, collected and gifted Cynthia Bailey with a vaginal rejuvenation. I don’t know why Kenya felt like Cynthia needed to get that procedure done since the past few seasons have had several story lines about the lack of sexual activity with her and her ex Peter Thomas. It didn’t seem necessary, but I guess it’s the thought that counts.

Kandi Burruss

I could not control my laughter when Porsha Williams gasped and over exaggerated in response to Marlo Hampton talking about the Kandi Burruss lesbian rumors after Sheree Whitfield spilled some tea to her in private. Porsha was a major part of that initial conversation and threw her best friend Shamea Morton under the bus in the process. It was hilarious when she tried to distance herself from that conversation while Phaedra Parks was sweating bullets hoping not to get called out as well.

Now, Porsha has decided that her dating life is off limits. This is pretty absurd given that she is a star of a reality show and doesn’t really have a story line (other than spreading other people’s business and denying her well-documented anger issues) and because she talks about everyone else’s romances and sexual dalliances. So, why should she get a free pass? Yeah, I can’t think of a reason either.

Kandi Burruss

Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers are seeing a lot of Kandi Burruss‘s personal drama this season. Poor Kandi – her mom and her husband are finally getting along and now she has baby daddy drama to deal with. A lot of the time, it seems like reality TV plot lines are contrived and manipulated, but you can tell Kandi is genuinely torn up about her daughter’s biological father Block Spencer coming back on the scene.

I find it shady as hell that this man who is supposedly successful in the music industry wants to be in his daughter’s life all of a sudden – in front of reality TV cameras. He couldn’t try to contact her in-between seasons? It seems extremely opportunistic and I can’t help feeling sad for Kandi’s daughter Riley Burruss. And on top of that the always outspoken Mama Joyce has had no issue sharing her opinions with Kandi, so it’s clearly going to be a drama-filled season for Kandi.
