Botched by Nature

Heather Dubrow, Paul Nassif, Terry Dubrow

I was really surprised that Heather Dubrow didn’t discuss this week’s insane episode of Real Housewives Of Orange County on her podcast. She usually reserves the first half of Heather Dubrow’s World to dishing on behind-the-scenes drama, explaining some of the situations that viewers didn’t see and giving her unfiltered opinion on the drama.

Maybe Heather was too traumatized by her “visceral reaction” to Kelly Dodds “low-base bullshit” to go down that road again. Or maybe she just wanted to give Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif additional press for Botched By Nature. Heather went on the road with the duo last weekend to promote the show, and shared some antics about working with Paul and Terry.

It’s official. I absolutely adore Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow. On last night’s Botched by Nature, the good doctors head to the Alamo and help a war veteran, all the while enjoying television’s most amazing bromance. In Texas, Rosa is beside herself to meet the men (as I would be!) who want to help her after suffering burns from a lightning strike. After surviving two tours in Iraq, Rosa returned home to be struck during a storm. Her clothes caught fire, she went into cardiac arrest, and she was in a coma for two weeks. That is my biggest fear.

Over twenty-eight percent of Rosa’s body is covered in burns and the underwire in her bra fused into her skin during the incident. She is hopeful that Terry can fix her breasts as well as a shoddy tummy tuck she endured a year after her accident. Unfortunately, Terry and Paul are not able to do much about the scar tissue on her chest, but they can even out her breasts, remove the scar from the bra underwire, and smooth out her stomach. Both men are humbled by Rosa’s service and want to be able to give her something in return.

While Bravo is busy airing the Olympics this week, Lifetime and E! are still up and running with new episodes of our favorite reality shows!  Tonight we have all new episodes of Botched by Nature, Little Women: LA and Little Women: Atlanta! If you haven’t already, it’s the perfect night to check out one of the three shows since there’s no new Real Housewives of New York

Tonight on Little Women: LA, Elena Gant leaves the hospital after welcoming her twin babies, who are still in the NICU.  Christy McGinty’s daughter Autumn is rushed to the hospital with a health scare.  Tonya’s new and improved Boss Body Active Wear line is ready for its debut, but Terra Jole voices concern over the new logo. Plus, Kerwin puts pressure on Tonya about ending her business partnership.

Botched By Nature recap

Who tuned in to watch the premiere of Botched by Nature last night? Did you get teary? Were you lusting after that froyo? Isn’t Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif’s bromance just the bee’s knees? In case you’d forgotten (I’ll never forget!), I got to interview both gentleman about the show, and I still don’t think I’ve quite recovered from the adorableness of it all! Naturally, I was super excited to get to recap the new season for y’all. So let’s get started, shall we?

Last night’s episode featured Sabrina and Nate, and had the doctors heading to Vegas (baby!) and California farmland. Their road trip begins in Las Vegas to meet with Sabrina who suffered dramatic weight loss due to an autoimmune disorder. After feeling insure about her flatter chest, Sabrina opted for implants. However, because of her ulcerative colitis (I’m going to be googling how to spell medical terms all season!) which affects her colon and large intestine, the implants were pushed far up her chest into an awkward and painful position. Sabrina is thrilled to meet the doctors, and Terry introduces himself as “Terry Dubrow” to Sabrina and her friends, while Paul is more formal with his “I’m Dr. Nassiff.”

Forget practicing law–I’m going to open my own Blizz franchise and be a part of the wonderment that is Dr. Paul Nassif’s frozen yogurt empire. That’s right, the Botched doctor isn’t just performing plastic surgery these days. He’s branching out–delving into the froyo business, milking cows, starring along side Terry Dubrow in an amazing spin-off (Botched by Nature), and (pinch me, I’m dreaming!) speaking to me all about the upcoming season of said spin-off!

I know, I know, you can’t believe it either, but it’s true. I was lucky enough to get to interview both Paul and Terry about their new series Botched by Nature which premieres tonight, Wednesday, August 3rd at 9 PM ET on E!. The show will be followed by Botched Post-Op (more on that in a bit), and it’s sure to be a hit. You know how there are certain celebrities you think hung the moon, only to hear that someone met them and they were rude or boring? Well, that is not at all what happened to me. I loved Paul and Terry’s antics pre-interview, but after chatting with them, my adoration is at an entirely new level…plus, I kind of want to live in Heather Dubrow’s closet! (see pic below)

Heather talks Botched Post Op on Heather Dubrow's World

This week on Heather Dubrow’s World, Heather Dubrow gave fans an update on her new book, announced the return of Botched: Post Op, talked (almost) moving into her shopping mall new house, and more.

A few announcements: Heather reveals she is singing the National Anthem at Angel Stadium on July 20th. She says it is on her bucket list but admits she is really nervous. Also, Terry and Heather’s new book, Dr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig Present The Only Guide You’ll Ever Need to the Best Anti-Aging Treatments, is available for pre-order on Amazon. Heather Dubrow's World

Heather Dubrow now has three episodes of her podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World, under her belt, and I have to admit, I have enjoyed each one of them. She’s a natural. This week, Heather chats with Paul Nasiff and Terry Dubrow, who ironically were not as easy to book as we would expect, about Botched.

But first, because the Real Housewives of Orange County world is all about Brooks Ayers and Vicki Gunvalson these days, Heather shares her thoughts on the latest news, that Brooks was never treated for cancer at City of Hope. “I don’t think it was a shock,” she says, “but the fact that City of Hope released an official statement is incredibly mind blowing.”

About Brooks‘ subsequent statement, Heather adds, “This is what is so crazy about it, he doesn’t admit to faking cancer, he admits to fabricating documents. So, the way he worded his statement was basically saying, ‘I didn’t intend to show my own medical records, so for the story and television purposes, I made up documents. I doctored these documents, to show on the show, because I did not want to show my own medical records.’ Which makes no sense to me at all.”

In a world full of plastic surgery, things are bound to go wrong. So, what happens when your simple procedure turns out to be a nightmare? Well, if you’re lucky, you head on over to see renowned plastic surgeons Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow, in an attempt to fix the damage caused by plastic surgery gone wrong.
