Remember that time Brooks Ayers really had cancer and wanted to prove it so badly that he falsified doctor’s reports? While he’s no longer filling the love tank of OG Vicki Gunvalson, Brooks certainly created a great story line for the viewers of Real Housewives of Orange County. Not only is faking cancer the most deplorable tall tale one could create, but why would someone do it while being filmed for a popular reality series? Of course, I am not saying Brooks lied about having cancer, but that’s mainly because, you know…legal stuff.
While all of Vicki’s co-stars doubt Brooks account of his health thanks to a lot of discrepancies, his random treatments (or lack thereof), that damn psychic, and just a basic distrust of Brooks in general, it’s only been recently that Vicki has distanced herself from the man who has been consistently wrecking her reputation. Now, her family wants Brooks punished for also defaming the reputable medical provider who he touted as the producer of his fake reports.

What’s that I hear? It’s the sound of ghosts of housewives past coming to haunt Brooks Ayers! And no one could deserve it more. Former Real Housewives of Orange County Gretchen Rossi is laying down her weapons against Tamra Judge for once, and taking up the sword of truth against everyone’s favorite liarpants: Brooks. Interestingly, she’s not striking former castmate Vicki Gunvalson down with that same sword, though.
Having lost her fiance, Jeff Beitzel, to leukemia in 2008, Gretchen says she is “appalled and disgusted that anyone would lie or makeup false documents about a very serious disease that millions are fighting against for their lives everyday.”

This is the LAST Brooks/Vicki/Cancer post today. Pinky Swear. Vicki Gunvalson sat down with Extra’s Mario Lopez to share her side of the story now that Brooks Ayers has confessed that he doctored up fake chemo bills and City of Hope denied his being a patient of theirs. The Real Housewives of Orange County star confesses that she hates Brooks and she still swears she was at City of Hope with him and had no idea he was being dishonest.
Vicki starts off, “I’m completely shocked. I’ve seen the bills, I went to City Of Hope. He was there all morning so how do you think anything other than ‘he’s getting chemo’, you go to City Of Hope because you have cancer, not because you have nothing else to do during the day.”
Brooks Ayers is speaking for the first time since City of Hope denied treating him for cancer. The former boyfriend of Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson is apologizing for falsifying his medical documents/bills but he is maintaining that he has cancer.
He shared in a statement to E!, “Words cannot express the deep regret that I have in fabricating documents to ‘prove’ to the world that I, in fact, have cancer. What I did was wrong and inexcusable. I acted alone, without Vicki [Gunvalson]’s knowledge, to produce documents for a reality TV show in hopes of putting doubts about my cancer to rest. I never intended to disclose my actual medical records or details about my private and personal medical history, thus the rationalization of presenting documents that weren’t true simply for a ‘storyline’ for the show.”
Just a few hours after the news broke that City of Hope denied Brooks Ayers was ever a patient at their facility, The Real Housewives of Orange County stars reacted to the revelation. Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Meghan King Emdonds weren’t too shocked to hear it, obviously.
The three co-stars spoke with E! and gave their thoughts on the situation now that this new info has come to light.
“I pray for him. I would want to tell him that I hope he finds the truth somewhere in his life. The truth will set you free. It’s a very sad and disgusting situation. I never believed I would be surrounded by such lies but hopefully now we can focus on the truth.”
Let’s see Brooks Ayers talk himself out of this latest revelation! The Real Housewives of Orange County supporting player, who was front and center all season, has been flaunting his cancer “proof” in interviews as of late. “Proof” that was fishy, at best. Well, Brooks’ “proof” just went POOF!
E! news reached out to City of Hope after all of the controversy over the possible fake “chemo bill” that Brooks produced last week in an interview segment with E!. Brooks said it was proof that he was receiving cancer treatments at the clinic and indeed has cancer. Well, City of Hope just shot Brooks’ claims all to hell. The hospital spokesman shared with E! that Brooks was “never treated for cancer” at their facility.
Brooks Ayers is making the rounds to dish on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and attempting to defend himself and his cancer diagnosis. Not only did Brooks do an exclusive sit-down with Andy Cohen (which won’t be aired until November 12th), but also gave a several-part interview to E! News. He is attempting to provide “proof” of his diagnosis via a chemotherapy bill – but is it a fake bill he grabbed from Google Images?!
E! has been airing snippets of Brooks’ interview on their site and dropping bits of it during evening airings of their news show. Yesterday Brooks shared “proof” with them about his cancer in the form of a supposed chemotherapy bill, and verbally confirmed that he has Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and says his lesions are gone. He won’t say he’s in remission, but things are “normalized.”
