Season 14 of Real Housewives of Orange County brought the unthinkable–the demotion of “OG” Vicki Gunvalson. Vicki even got engaged to her man, Steve Lodge, but it wasn’t enough to save her full-time gig. Vicki is still atoning for her creepy relationship with alleged scammer Brooks Ayers, who pretended to have cancer and made a fool of Vicki. Vicki is suing him for money that she loaned him. I wouldn’t be too optimistic about getting that back.
Another Housewife, Kelly Dodd, has been in the thick of all the drama, and she seems to have issues with almost everyone. Recently, RHOC co-stars Shannon Beador, Tamra Judge, and Vicki called Kelly “a train wreck.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County kicked off its 14th season sans one OG. In the Demotion Heard ‘Round The World, Vicki Gunvalson’s Original Gangsta status has been reduced to simply… Gangsta. Viewers never thought it would happen, and Vicki didn’t either. Fans said buh-bye to Vick and friends turned on her when she stayed with
lying, scamming ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers. But nothing seemed to dim the light of the Woo-Hoo wannabe. In fact, if you were to ask Vicki, she might tell you how the success of RHOC can be credited to her role on the show.
But is Vicki still successful? After years of the same fights with Tamra Judge, we watched. After an endless search for someone to fill her love tank, we watched. And after plastic surgery even the CIA doesn’t have access to, we watched. I’m guessing the bigwigs at Bravo were watching too, and maybe not liking what they saw. Vicki needed to pull a rabbit out of a hat, or an engagement out of a retired cop, to secure her continued spot on the show. Steve Lodge came through for Vicki and asked her to be his wife in April of this year. Unfortunately for Vicki, the ring didn’t mean a thing because, no orange. Now Vicki is opening up about being reduced to “Friend”, and she says she isn’t going anywhere.
Did anyone really think that Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson would mend fences and put their messy feud them? Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly still thinks that Vicki broke girl code when Vicki and her man Steve Lodge went on a double date with Kelly’s ex, Michael Dodd. Of course, during the Season 13 reunion, Vicki accused Kelly of doing cocaine. So, there’s that.
Although Tamra Judge and Kelly seemed to be on great terms during the RHOC Season 14 premiere, the two are once again fighting on social media. What a surprise!
And “OG” Vicki was just demoted to a Friend of the Housewives position, and Kelly couldn’t be happier. She is probably somewhere whooping it up with her new boyfriend, plastic surgeon Brian Reagan.
The end of an era has arrived. After 13 seasons, Vicki Gunvalson is no longer a main cast member of Real Housewives of Orange County. HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO US? The OG of the OC is demoted to a “friend” role for the upcoming season 14. Despite this, it looks like a lot of the season still revolves around Vicki. We can’t wait to see Vicki vs Kelly Dodd this season!
Vicki’s given viewers SO many memories over the years. It’s genuinely upsetting to see her lose her orange. She carried the show with the Brooks Ayers scandal. Her feuds with Tamra Judge are legendary. Plus, we never want to see the Tres Amigas split up again. Without a doubt, nobody will ever replace Vicki in our hearts. We want her back full-time! However, Andy Cohen is the one who calls all the shots and can make that happen.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. That pretty much sums up the friendship between Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge. The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have always enjoyed a rocky relationship. From Vicki’s third face to Tamra’s second body, the two have gone through both physical and emotional changes over the years. Sometimes getting along, other times screaming in each other’s faces, the OC duo has brought the drama.
Vicki always had quite a hefty fan base, until Brooks Ayers came into the picture. After his cancer-scamming subterfuge, Vicki dealt with the loss of co-star support and viewer disgust. Season 13 of RHOC found Vicki with not much of a story-line, despite
her new boyfriend efforts to remain relevant. And even though Vicki somehow threatened coerced Steve Lodge into a proposal, it just wasn’t enough to secure an orange for the OG. When the news of Vicki’s demise went public, if you listened closely, you could hear fans shouting their approval from the rooftops. Or maybe that was just Kelly Dodd. Now that the mighty has fallen, on-again, off-again friend Tamra has some thoughts on Vicki’s demotion to Siberia friend status.
Rumors have been circulating for a while about Real Housewives of Orange County’s “OG” Vicki Gunvalson, and the role that she would (or wouldn’t) play on Season 14. We have seen Vicki go through a divorce, find love with the cancer-faking Brooks Ayers, dump him, and build up her successful insurance business. There were rumors that Bravo wasn’t happy with Vicki’s snoozy storyline last season, and that Vicki needed to deliver an on-camera proposal from boyfriend Steve Lodge to secure her orange as a Housewife. No pressure, right?
Vicki certainly delivered with the engagement when Steve popped the question in April. It remains to be seen if the moment was memorialized by RHOC cameras. Or if there was an engagement party at Andale’s in Puerto Vallarta. Apparently, it wasn’t enough to nab a full-time position on the show that Vicki has been a Housewife on since the very first episode. It’s true–Vicki is returning as a Friend of the Housewives. Ouch!
Buckle your seatbelts, everyone! Season 14 of Real Housewives of Orange County debuts later this summe…zzzzzzzzzzzz… Okay, just kidding, I’m awake. Can you believe we’ve been watching these women for fourteen years? Once upon a time the original Real Housewives series actually delivered. RHOC covered the women’s lowest of lows: i.e., death, divorce dramas, drinks in the face, a fake cancer scam. It’s also given us some of the most unintentionally funny moments on TV. Think Gretchen Rossi’s singing marriage proposal. The show needs more completely staged organic, real life moments like that. Then there’s Jesus Jugs and the women’s sky tops. We will never unsee those!
RHOC paved the way for women-centered reality shows. Each season post-Brooks Ayers, however, has been awful. Not because he’s gone though. The stories have been stale, overdone, and slow. The reunion of the tres amigas last season still wasn’t enough. For the first time, there were rumors that Bravo was demoted Vicki Gunvalson, OG of the OC, to shake things up. Rumors aside, for the show to continue, we need a revival. Tamra Judge agrees.
You knew this was coming. Now that former Real Housewives of Orange County star, Meghan Edmonds, has been publicly humiliated by her husband, the flood gates have opened. Cheating is old news for a lot of the ladies on RHOC, so obviously they feel justified in sharing their thoughts on Jim Edmonds’ salacious ways. Shannon Beador has certainly been down this road. Vicki Gunvalson is not new to relations outside the sanctity of marriage. And who
cares knows what skeletons are hiding in Tamra Judge’s closet.
While Meghan is licking her wounds and attempting to heal after Jimbo’s extra-curricular activities, comments are pouring in to show support for the mom of three. The poster boy for dad jeans is defending the HIGHLY inappropriate texts he sent to some woman while his wife gave birth. Jim denies he had physical contact with her, as if that is his one saving grace of innocence. After a heartfelt blog post on her personal feelings, some of Meghan’s former co-stars are weighing in on the scandal.
