How many times a day do you find yourself wondering whatever became of former Southern Charm star Landon Clements? If your answer is, “zero”, you are 100% in compliance with the rest of the United States population. Landon is gone and pretty much forgotten, but it looks like she’s trying to get someone’s attention.
Like other cast members who
were fired left the series, Landon continues to comment publicly on the show. And sometimes it bites her in the ass. When Thomas Ravenel famously went through some serious allegations relating to his children’s nanny, most people doubted Thomas’ claims of innocense. But Landon isn’t most people and she counted herself as one of Thomas’ defenders. Recently Landon claimed after she sided with T-Rav, Patricia Altschul dumped her on Instagram. I guess it’s easier to say you were dumped for defending an outcast than realizing you were possibly dumped for being a bore.
Shep Rose has been a mainstay on Southern Charm since the beginning. He’s a womanizer, a party animal, and a bit of a late bloomer.
And now Shep can add author to the list, as he just released his book Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar, about his life, relationships, and his time on the show. I haven’t gotten my hands on a copy yet. However, I’m not exactly dying for life advice from a 40-year-old frat boy who has family money. But at least he knows what it takes to make good TV, unlike Landon Clements.
The current era of Southern Charm‘s main source of controversy is Madison LeCroy, Austen Kroll and their various relationships A-List celebrities (and athletes). But, true fans will never forget where it all started.
It was really the drama between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis that put the show on the map. It remained a central plot for seasons to come (even in his absence). And while there have been many villains in the show’s history (cough cough Ashley Jacobs), Landon Clements is definitely a name that’s hard to forget.
Throughout the seven seasons of Southern Charm, there have been so many controversies, arguments and scandals that it’s hard to remember them all.
However, there is one villain who may be gone for the show but will never be forgotten — Ashley Jacobs, Thomas Ravenel‘s ex. And Shep Rose is apparently still a little scarred by Ashley’s time on the show, but aren’t we all?
Cameran Eubanks shocked fans when she told us that she wasn’t coming back for the latest season of Southern Charm. And sure, the show has survived without her. But let’s face it, it’s not the same without her. Cam was not only an OG, but she was the narrator and voice of reason for all her messy castmates. Now there really is no voice of reason, just a big ole southern friend mess.
But what fans really want to know is why Cam made such a hasty exit from the show. It happened right around the time that castmate and one-time adversary, Kathryn Dennis had a racially charged scandal. But more importantly around that time, cheating rumors about Cam’s husband, Jason Wimberly, began to surface. And who was accused of being behind them? None other than Kathryn herself. Maybe Kathryn jumped on the chance to take some of the heat off herself?
Cameran Eubanks has long been a Bravo TV darling. She jumped onto the Southern Charm scene as the narrator and breakout star of the show. Fans loved her for her wit, honesty and take not BS attitude.
So fans were shocked when Cameran made a hasty exit from the show, deciding not to come back for another season. It was in the wake of castmate Kathryn Dennis’ racist emoji scandal. So some speculated that’s why Cameran, along with Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner, decided they had enough. There were also cheating scandal rumors around Cam’s husband, Jason Wimberly. Which seem like the more likely cause of her sudden departure.
Southern Charm has been a doozy. The reunions have basically been insane remakes of the issues throughout the season. The cast-members rehashed Kathryn Dennis’ racism with a new gusto. Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy seemed to have a new hateful passion as well. This season has changed the direction of a show that used to have a totally different vibe.
One major difference has been the exit of former cast-mate, Cameran Eubanks. And while Cameran hasn’t been on screen, her close friend Leva Bonaparte has. Leva has been open about her wishes for Cam to address some issues on camera. Leva also shared during Part 1 of the reunion that she and Cameran are not as close as they were before she joined the show.
