We might be a bit late, but RT is now officially here to recap season two of Ladies of London! Considering this season was filmed nearly a year ago, it seems we’re not the only ones running late (what’s up with that, Bravo?). Nevertheless, the ladies are back, minus Caprice Bourret and Noelle Reno. But fresh faces (and royal titles!) appear in the form of Baroness Caroline Fleming, long time friend of Caroline Stanbury, and former “friend” of the cast, Viscountess Julie Montagu.
The addition of fancy titles does not seem to offer fancier storylines, however, as this season began with the unbelievably pedestrian argument about where to eat a turkey. Last week saw tensions reach a boiling point between fellow Americans Juliet Angus and Marissa Hermer, with Caroline S stuck (or should we say, sticking herself?) in the middle, over what an American Thanksgiving should mean, where it should be held, who should attend, and how to attach one’s birthday to the holiday for a little extra helping of holiday guilt! As a fellow Sagittarius whose own birthday falls squarely on Thanksgiving day this year – and does so every four years – I have come to the understanding that the only expectation a birthday girl
over the age of 10 can hope for on Turkey Day is a tossed off “Want some pie with a candle in it?” And by now, Juliet should have learned the same. Alas, reality TV is not for learning, but for manipulating and backstabbing! So, let’s jump in right where we left off…

Season one of Ladies of London came to an end this week.
If I can’t have a Caroline Stanbury spinoff, I hope the show returns, but with a few changes to the cast. Caroline can stay, of course, along with Juliet Angus. I enjoy Caroline and Juliet’s friendship. Marissa Hermer, a people pleaser who likes everyone, Julie Montagu, whose estate brings major travel porn to the show, Noelle Reno, a pot stirrer who likes gold, can stay. Annabelle Neilson seemed uninterested and checked out all season, so she can go, and I hope to never see Caprice Bourret again.
Bravo caught up with the Ladies of London, as it’s been nearly a year since they ceased filming, to see what they’ve been up to the past year, who are still friends, and which moment from the show they most enjoyed.

On last night’s Ladies of London season finale Caroline Stanbury and Caprice Bourret’s friendship ended, a ton of babies were born, Annabelle Neilson proved to be the wisest person on the show, Marissa Hermer followed all things Royal, Juliet Angus evolved (sort of), and Noelle Reno chose a side. Her own. All in all a good end to the season.
We’re back at Caroline’s dinner party with everyone wondering about Caprice’s whereabouts. And suddenly she appears. Like Beetlejuice. After acknowledging all of the Ladies and some of the waitstaff, Caprice finally says hello to the host. Caroline is angry that she wasn’t acknowledged first. Caprice is upset that Caroline didn’t stand up to greet her. It’s pretty damn awkward around that table. After some chitchat, Caprice announces that her surrogate is dilated and she’s about to leave the country to be with her. There’s talk of a mucus plug, but I don’t even want to know what that’s about. Caroline thinks Caprice is being overly dramatic and should just get on the plane already. And she better take the rest of that vegan meal that Caroline had prepared especially for her.
Last night on Ladies of London the women got a lesson in etiquette and then promptly forgot everything they learned. The divide between Caprice Bourret and Caroline Stanbury widened. And Noelle Reno continued to stir the pot. It’s what she does best.
We begin at Slades Farm, Annabelle Neilson’s home. She has checked herself out of the hospital and is recovering from her accident. Caroline arrives with gifts: DVD’s and a huge TV. Where was Caroline when I was sick? Annabelle is doing well, all things considered. She asks what’s going on, namely with the Caprice situation. Caroline tells her how Noelle and Marissa are planning a baby shower/going away party for Caprice. She’s still irked by it. Annabelle advises her to take the high road. Caroline doesn’t think she can, but Annabelle urges her to do it.
Last night on Ladies of London new allegiances were formed while old ones frayed. Showergate continued. And Noelle Reno was somehow in the middle of all of it. Just the way she likes it.
And we’re back in Mapperton. It’s the morning after the Bambi dinner. Caroline Stanbury, Juliet Angus, and Marissa Hermer convene in Noelle’s room at the Lodge. Juliet reports that Caprice Bourret has already checked out. The other three are surprised. Caroline thinks it’s due to her and her new friendships with the American women. She can’t help it if they think she’s fab, Caprice. Juliet starts bagging on Caprice (and Brits in general), but Marissa doesn’t want to take sides. She thinks Caprice left early because of her pregnancy. Juliet claims she was the nicest person ever when she was pregnant. Marissa wishes she would have known her back then. Boom. Awkward silence.
Last night on Ladies of London the women took a trip to Mapperton. We had shooting, Sandwiches, questionable table manners, and several awkward moments. But, in the end they hugged it out.
We begin with an intense yoga session with Marissa Hermer and Julie. It looks painful and there’s talk about looseness, which I’m trying to forget. Julie isn’t just a yoga instructor, she also our seventh Lady. And she’s an actual Lady…of Hinchingbrooke. She tells us that her life is like a fairy tale. She came to the UK from the Midwest and met her knight, the soon-to-be Earl of Sandwich. Every little girl’s dream. She actually seems pretty down to earth for someone with a title.
Marissa and Julie discuss the upcoming trip to Julie’s in-law’s estate, Mapperton. Annabelle Neilson will of course be attending since she’s a longtime friend of the family. She’s always out there shooting. And Juliet Angus better watch out because she’s a good shot. Speaking of little Daisy Duke, Julie is worried about her attending. We get a flashback to the “keep being ruder” moment. So nasty and so ruder. Marissa and Julie agree that Juliet and Annabelle should be kept far apart. As if that will happen.
Last night on Ladies of London, there were hats and fashion shows and horse races – and Noelle Reno whining about Scot's misfortune and how sad it is that the press doesn't love her like she's Caprice. A girls gotta have goals, right?!
Juliet Angus throws a hat party to feature a milliner and because British girls like hats. And according to Caroline Stanbury, they also crave borrowing British traditions as Americans have so few. We do? Juliet's other reason for hosting this party is to reunite all the girls after the disastrous Fourth of July party which featured Annabelle Neilson and Juliet arguing on the street "like fish harpies" and Caprice trying to do everything in her power to insert herself into the situation for camera time.
Speaking of Annabelle and Juliet – there is still unresolved drama, which means everyone has to talk about it and talk about who needs to apologize to whom, who is at fault, and how they're all going to resolve this for the sake of the group. There's many more horse-centric events to attend, y'all – we can't have acrimony! It might displace our hats.
