We need to help Kary Brittingham. A rogue bandit in the night must have entered her home and stolen all of the televisions because girlfriend is clearly not watching the current season of Real Housewives of Dallas. Kary joined RHOD in 2019 and was actually brought on as a friend of D’Andra Simmons. Thanks to LeeAnne Locken’s inability to have any semblance of tact, Kary found herself at the center of a storyline she never asked for, but one that sealed her spot on the show.
Cut to Kary’s second trip around the Bravo sun and, Dallas
Houston, we have a problem. You know it’s bad when Jen Shah can be indicted for wire fraud, but still somehow retain a bigger fan base than Kary who hasn’t scammed elderly people. Allegedly. Kary has made a poor impression upon new cast member, Tiffany Moon and her old friendship with D’Andra is currently in jeopardy. Now Kary is saying she and D’Andra don’t have a genuine friendship anyway. So that begs the question, who wants to be friends with Kary?
Well, she said she was thinking about it and now it’s a thing! Congrats to former Real Housewives of New York star Barbara Kavovit for joining the New York City mayoral race. Viewers probably remember Babs from her brief venture on RHONY. She is an incredibly accomplished businesswoman, but basically none of that was highlighted during her tenure on the show. Unfortunately much of her screen time was devoted to being yelled at by Ramona Singer. So, nothing new there.
Back in September, Barbara announced she was “strongly considering” running for office. Her motivation was driven by feeling “unsafe on the street” and wanted to “rebuild a safer and more inclusive New York City”. I’m guessing her stint on RHONY gave her a thick skin. After spending time with Luann de Lesseps, Ramona, and Dorinda Medley’s mouth, she’s probably invincible at this point. While this won’t be an easy journey, according to Barbara, she’s the woman to do it.
Well, it’s come to this. Now we are debating how one person’s ignorance is better than another person’s ignorance. It’s no secret Real Housewives of Dallas star Kary Brittingham never got along with former co-worker LeeAnne Locken. To be fair, no one really got along with LeeAnne. It was more a matter of not triggering her and staying on the good side of whatever personality she was using on a particular day.
Though LeeAnne was an anchor of the show, her mouth got her in trouble and she was pretty much shown the door. After making numerous comments about Kary that were less than politically correct, LeeAnne became another casualty of Bravo’s racist reckoning. The same cannot be said for Brandi Redmond, however. Several years ago, Brandi made a social media video mocking Asians. As an extra bonus, she did it in front of her kids. When Kary defended Brandi’s actions, LeeAnne felt some type of way. And this is why two people who barely spoke in the first place are no longer speaking.
They’re back – well most of them anyway! Bravo just announced that The Real Housewives of Dallas season 2 will kick off on Monday, August 14, 2017. Returning cast members Cary Deuber, Stephanie Hollman, LeeAnne Locken and Brandi Redmond will be joined by newcomers D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott. The only former Housewife not along for the season 2 ride is Tiffany Hendra.
The press release promises boatloads of crazy as LeeAnne tries to repair her reputation and her friendships and even dabbles in some anger management. We’ll also see a strain between besties Brandi and Stephanie while Cary tries to balance home and work. We will be introduced to neighbors D’Andra and Kameron, who quickly become a part of the drama.
