One nice thing about the 90 Day Fiance franchise is that you can expect fresh programming for most of the year. TLC has consistently added new spin-offs that quench viewers’ thirst for more of the crazy antics of cast members. And how lucky we all are to benefit from it!
Among the popular spin-offs of the show has been 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. Last season’s show was drama packed, with Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi’s endless back-and-forth relationship, Caesar’s ill-fated solo trip to Mexico and 90 Day veteran Darcey Silva optimistically looking for love–again. TLC recently announced a new season of the show, which will hold a few surprises for viewers.
It can be difficult to find anything likeable about some of the cast members on 90 Day Fiance. However, I always try to pinpoint something positive in each of them. Colt Johnson could counsel you on issues you might have with your mother, as he is closely–maybe a little too closely–bonded with his own mother, Debbie Johnson. Laura Jallali is a bit thirsty and foolish, but she would be a fantastic resource for sex toy questions. Darcey Silva is needy, whiny and neurotic, but she probably would be great fun to shop for engagement rings with.
Sometimes 90 Day Fiance cast members stretch the likability limits to the max. Case in point–Tania Maduro. Things started off OK–Tania seemed like an energetic, idealistic character who lived life to the fullest. In the ensuing weeks, we found out she is…well, full of something. Unrealistic, self-absorbed and pushy are a few words that come to mind for her. In this week’s episode, Tania revealed that she was leaving her South African fiancé Syngin Colchester to go study herbs in Costa Rica. For a month. Not surprisingly with Tania, there is a little more to this story than is apparent at first glance.
Eric Nichols was blind-sided, as were all 90-Day Fiance fans, when Larissa Dos Santos Lima broke up with him on Instagram. These two were hot and heavy for eight months already when Larissa decided it was time to end things. Everything about their relationship screamed for social media attention. Larissa even pulled Eric into the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After Reunion to successfully badger Colt Johnson into a meltdown.
After Larissa dumped him, Eric decided to get even by having dinner with Colt and his mother, Debbie Johnson. In an obvious slight to Larissa, Eric posted pictures of the dinner on social media, including one of himself playing Deb’s infamous slot machine. Since Eric and Larissa made a point to share every aspect of their relationship with followers, it seems only logical that they would update fans on their reconciliation. But strictly as friends.
Reality TV and the desire to stay relevant makes for strange bedfellows. Someone who had watched the dynamic between Colt Johnson, ex-wife Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and her new boyfriend Eric Nichols on the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After season 4 reunion would never guess how these relationships ended up. At the reunion, Colt professed his ongoing love for Larissa. Larissa responded by parading her new boyfriend, Eric, onscreen.
Colt descended into a rage while Larissa smirked into the camera. They had no contact after that. But that all changed recently when Larissa ended her relationship with Eric after less than a year of dating. She explained that she had jumped into the relationship too quickly and needed time to work on herself. This was shortly after Larissa revealed that she was battling depression and anxiety as a result of her arrests. Larissa claimed there were, “no hard feelings or regrettees.” But does Eric feel the same way?
Larissa Dos Santos Lima may be living her best life right now. After a dysfunctional marriage that was documented on 90 Day Fiance, the Brazilian beauty is happy with devoted partner Eric Nichols. Larissa has become somewhat of an Instagram influencer with posts about dieting, fashion, and cosmetic procedures.
Ex-husband Colt Johnson and his mother Debbie Johnson threatened Larissa with deportation after the dissolution of the marriage. And after three arrests for domestic violence, Larissa feared for her immigration status. Luckily, she avoided any jail time and claims that she will be receiving a green card. But it seems that all the stress of those arrests did come with a price.
On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After , the reunion started to heat up when the focus was taken off of The Family Chantel and more couples got put in the hot seat. Ashley Martson continued to whine and play victim for the cast and cameras. Jay Smith finally sets the record straight and Ashley admits what we all already knew. We also finally get to see what happens when Azan Tefou is confronted by someone who actually has brain cells. Let’s sift through the BS on this final installment of the Tell All.
Ashley finally admits what the viewers knew all along: she dangled her husband, Jay’s immigration status over his head as a form of control throughout their marriage. Jay adds he was treated like a child and threatened every day. Jay promises there is A LOT more to the story and says we will find out soon enough. Clearly, Ashley still holds some power over him, because he is clearly holding back. Honestly, I don’t need the extra details to know the relationship is doomed. This is one marriage that I am advocating ends for good.
On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After, viewers got an hour of crazy from Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and Colt Johnson . Then in the second hour, all hell breaks loose at the Tell All. Cast members are at odds and marriages are tested all in the name of television. I love it! This three-ring circus is all over the place. TLC pulls out all the video receipts in case anyone missed reasons to break up. SMH… get your popcorn and let’s get petty!
Larissa has found another person to foot her bills. She has been living with a friend since she left her husband. Colt and his handler Debbie Johnson talk to a lawyer about Larissa and her demands for alimony. They also discuss the upcoming trial and possible outcomes. It’s clear Debbie isn’t going to let Larissa take one red cent of THEIR money. Don’t get me wrong, I know Larissa is crazy. But I almost feel like Colt and Debbie kept calling the police as a form of control. Debbie isn’t playing around. She wants to make sure Larissa gets deported.
Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After had a little of everything. When I say everything, I mean everything drama-filled. There was everything from divorce under duress, to car fights, to a tense family dinner. It’s the day after Ashley Martson called the police on Jay Smith and attempted to get him deported or worse. Instead of feeling like the disgusting person she is, she played the victim. Ashley decided to change the locks so he can no longer come back to her house.
I don’t feel sorry for you! She had more than enough evidence to know Jay wasn’t ready for a committed relationship. Cheating may warrant a divorce but not jail! The very fact that she played games with his paperwork shows she wanted ultimate control over his life. Ashley used the deportation card as soon as she was able to do so. She consults with an attorney and decides to begin the divorce process. Ugh… I don’t want to see this disgrace of a woman anymore.
