On the latest edition of Shahs of Sunset, it’s all about baby talk, well, sort of.
Mike Shouhed and Reza Farahan take a look at a property that Mike wants to convert — a project that will cost him $4 million to $5 million dollars. Reza isn’t quite sure that Mike can handle a project of this magnitude — he’s been down this road before — and originally suggests that he sell the property and invest in something else. Mike tells Reza how much he really wants this project to work for his family, so they can be proud of him down the road, so Reza backs him and assures him he’ll be there every step of the way. Be careful what you say Reza!
The post-walk-of-shame fight between Mike Shouhed and Reza Farahan during the Shahs of Sunset cast trip in Las Vegas was nothing short of explosive. Was it necessary? No, not really, but it also wasn’t necessary for Reza to tell Shervin Roohparvar that Mike’s girl Morgan moved out of his place. How did he think that one was going to end up?
It was great TV, and they did end up making up before the episode ended, so all is well that ends well- except that this never ends. There is a reunion show and other press interviews; i.e. opportunities to throw more shade. Reza and Destiney Rose appeared on Watch What Happens Live to discuss the last Shahs of Sunset episode.
New York Fashion Week is not just for the clothing designers and models. Some of the Real Housewives also turned up to check out the looks. New Jersey Housewives Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga were in attendance and turning it out with their looks.
Teen Mom stars Catelynn Baltierra (who is expecting a third baby!), Amber Portwood, Cheyenne Floyd, Bristol Palin, & Maci Bookout all gathered in the Big Apple as well.
Newly engaged couple Lala Kent and Randall Emmett posed for a selfie together. Lala’s Vanderpump Rules costar Ariana Madix shared a photo with her mom and grandmother. Dallas Housewife Brandi Redmond shared a photo hugging her daughter.
If it seems like the drama surround Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s divorce is longer than her marriage itself, that’s because it is. During the last Shahs of Sunset episode, GG debated selling or keeping the ring. So of course Andy Cohen polled the Watch What Happens Live viewers to see if GG should sell it, keep it, or give it back to Shalom Yeroushalmi. He also had Mercedes “MJ” Javid in the Bravo clubhouse to weigh in on the poll and all of the other Shahs of Sunset drama.
MJ told Andy, “She shouldn’t give it back because they got married, so there’s that.” Andy pointed out, “She was married for like three weeks.” Nevertheless, MJ insisted, “I think if you cancel the engagement, then you have to give it back.” Alright then.
If you’ve been waiting for the return of Shahs of Sunset, your wait is almost over! Bravo just announced that Season 7 is going to be premiering on Thursday, August 2nd. And with a new season, we will see a few changes in casting!
In the press release for season 7, we immediately noticed that Asa Soltan Rahmati and Shervin Roohparvar aren’t mentioned at all. Asa is seen briefly in the trailer, but she confirmed on social media that since having her baby she has decided not to return to the show full time. (see the post down below)
The reunion venues for the Shahs of Sunset are getting bigger and so are the accusations. We barely make it through Andy Cohen greeting everyone before the gloves come off, or as Asa Soltan Rahmati observes, the Uzis come out. Asa was of course, a big, pregnant target this season and even in the glow of new motherhood, her cast mates aren’t about to let her off the hook. Even Vida, who usually likes to reserve her most blistering commentary for her own daughter, comes for Asa and trust me when I say her Uzi was fully loaded for that exchange.
Before we go there, I feel like I’m sitting down with a totally different cast than what I saw this season – long gone are any blonde highlights from Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi. Instead, their hair is dyed as black as their little hearts. Another thing that’s gone is Reza Farahan’s mustache, along with 43 pounds, to be exact. Mike Shouhed and Shervin Roohparvar are bringing the 90s back, with Mike’s emo eyeliner and Shervin’s slicked back little ponytail with the sides shaved.
Well, another season of Shahs of Sunset has officially drawn to a close and instead of Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi ending up as the outcast of the season, instead we find Persian Pop Priestess and staple cast member, Asa Soltan Rahmati, exiled from this group of overgrown hooligans.
I think we all saw it coming when bestie/worstie of friends Reza Farahan didn’t exactly jump to Asa’s defense during her falling out with Mercedes “MJ” Javid over whether or not Asa used IVF to conceive her “miracle baby.” But let’s face it, MJ wasn’t really mad about Asa using IVF or not, she was really just pissed that Asa beat her to the punch when it came to having a kid. So MJ just found the weakest link in the Asa Chain (the fact that Asa isn’t forthcoming with all aspects of her life) and exploited it with the rest of the Shahs to get them on board with casting Asa aside. And it actually worked!
Shahs of Sunset was a doozy tonight – as in, I feel like I did ten shots of tequila doozy. While Asa Soltan Rahmati was left out due to her non-sharing-of-IVF-planning ways, both Shervin Roohparvar and Mercedes “MJ” Javid were feeling the drive to do the opposite and put it all out there.
For Shervin’s part, he might be able to see the writing on the wall that alpha crew member Reza Farahan is willing to turn his back on his oldest and closest friend, all because she doesn’t want to tell a bunch of fake friends who call her baby a bastard how she conceived. But most likely, Shervin realizes that someone somewhere has some dirt on him and his cheating ways and it’s easier to fess up now instead of spending multiple seasons being accused, like Mike Shouhed. As for MJ, I’m pretty sure tequila (and a slow decent to complete madness) is what caused her to go off the rails and issue a pregnancy ultimatum to fiancé, Tommy Feight. Spoiler alert: when you issue a man an ultimatum of any form, especially one driven by alcohol and overdramatic, nonsensical tears, it usually doesn’t end well.
