We are so close to the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I can taste it! We even got to see the new taglines this week. Season 10 premieres April 15th to be exact and I think people’s anticipation of the show is mixed. Some think the show will be nothing but a snoozefest without Lisa Vanderpump. Let’s face it, last season wasn’t exactly interesting once Lisa was done filming with the rest of the cast. But some just really need some classic housewives entertainment to get their mind off troubling times. Finally, there are those die hard fans who are pumped (too soon?) for another season of the popular and opulent franchise.
So what category do I fall into? The one where there is drama and preferably, one where everyone puts their cards out on the table. I have to admit, I haven’t enjoyed the lack of transparency in the last few seasons. If Kyle Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky is getting sued for $32 million, I want to hear about it! And if Dorit Kemsley is really in deep financial doo doo, I want to hear about that too. We all know that husband PK Kemsley has been in the media (and called out by Camille Grammer) for owing people money for some time now. Let’s not pretend, folks.
Sometimes, life is a matter of perspective. Instead of being “stuck” at home because of the pandemic, it might feel better to view the situation as being “safe” at home instead.
Of course, what’s going on the world right now should not be minimized, not by any means. Nevertheless, a lot of people with “non-essential” jobs are at home. Some are homeschooling their children. Others have turned their living rooms into an office. Most of the people who are reading this have been watching a lot of reality TV shows- in the background, while fulfilling responsibilities, of course. Well, Bravo knows that fans are looking for premium programming. And, no, I’m not trying to re-watch an episode of a show that I just watched last week.
After months of rumors about a boring season, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 10 trailer was released and it looked good, i.e. better than anything RHOBH viewers have watched in years. People who doubted that the women could come through had more faith in the season. Things looked promising.
Now, the taglines are out, and the reveal didn’t have the same effect. Generic, much? Maybe I just set the bar too high after that amazing trailer. Or, maybe I’m wrong and these are the best taglines of all time. Let’s jump in. I can’t wait to see what you all think in the comments section.
It wouldn’t be Vanderpump Rules if Lala Kent didn’t have beef with at least one cast member on the show. Last season she had major issues with Billie Lee. She “popped off” at Billie during Scheana Marie’s housewarming party, and had a major meltdown during brunch service at SUR. Lala also dissolved her friendship with James Kennedy and chose to be friends with her former bullies, Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney instead.
This season Lala might be on the right track with James, but she is definitely on the wrong track with his girlfriend, Raquel Leviss. All the rage and vitriol Lala spat at Billie last year is going right to Raquel this year. And for what reason? Because Raquel stood by James’ side? Lala’s behavior hasn’t won her any points with fans. The heat must have gotten to her because she apologized for being an “asshole” to Raquel. Still, she isn’t taking full accountability, and recently she shared why.
Camille Grammer isn’t exactly my favorite housewife. Despite being a pot-stirring “friend of” last season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I’m tired of her always playing the victim and accusing everyone of attacking her. Sure, I don’t mind that she called out Dorit Kemsley and husband PK Kemsley for owing people money. But true to form, she padded that attempted take down in by telling us that she was forced to buy Burberry on consignment after losing her house in the California wildfires. The horror people, the horror. As much as I felt sorry for her losing her house, I thought maybe she would be in a slightly different head space and maybe not in the mood to try and disparage Dorit in that moment. But then I guess she wouldn’t be the Camille we all know and
Let’s admit it” Camille is working hard to get that diamond back and complaining every step of the way!
Finally! In the middle of this quarantine, we have been blessed with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 10 trailer. Despite rumors that the season is “dull,” the trailer really delivers. There is a lot going on. Dorit Kemsley’s husband PK Kemsley remarks, “I hope it’s not over. I love drama.” Same here, PK. Same here.
It’s not exactly “news” at this point since so many entertainment productions and businesses have shut down thanks to the threat of Coronavirus, but we can officially add the Broadway play Chicago to that list.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Erika Jayne posted about the end of her Broadway.
There are lots of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers holding out hope that Lisa Vanderpump will return to the series. In my opinion, she cannot return on her own. She needs to come back with some very loyal cast members by her side.
Aside from LVP’s fans and her husband Ken Todd, there is no one more loyal to her than the Vanderpump Rules crew, except for Kristen Doute. And you know what, they’re not as young as they used to be. Referring to them as the “Vanderpump Rules kids” isn’t gonna make sense sooner rather than later. Many of them are getting married and planning to start a family. They’re starting empires of their own. In other words, they’re building up the perfect resumés to become Real Housewives. This possibility is something that both Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder discussed in recent interviews. Just imagine Lisa going toe to toe with Erika Jayne with Lala backing her up. It would make for some very interesting TV.
