It’s time for a reality TV shake up. After a solid year of binging reality shows of past and present from our respective lockdowns and quarantines, we’re due for some fresh content. Even more, the upgrade in accountability for reality stars when it comes to blatant and veiled racism has completely shifted viewer expectations. Gone are the days of sweeping very troubling and flat out unacceptable behavior under the rug. Why shouldn’t we be entitled to quantity and quality?
If you’re sick of Housewives, there are other options. Shows like Temptation Island and Selling Sunset are complete stand-alones. They’re also in their early seasons and not overly repetitive in their story lines and cast dynamics (yet). There’s also shows like 90 Day Fiance and Married At First Sight that use the same formula every year, but bring on fresh faces to make it interesting. Tragically, after eight and twelve seasons respectively, even these gems are starting to dull. So what’s next?
On last night’s episode of Married At First Sight, we finally got to see the update we have all been waiting for. Two months after decision day, the eight cast members reunite to talk about life away from the cameras and experts and to reveal if they are still married.
This season we watched the highs and lows of four Married At First Sight couples on a journey to find love. I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t wait to see what happened after the cameras stopped rolling. On decision day, only two couples decided to remain married. It’s time to find out if anything has changed.
On this week’s episode of Married At First Sight, it was the day we all have been waiting for…DECISION DAY! After eight weeks of new adventures, explosive arguments, and complete desperation, we finally find out plans for the future. The Married At First Sight couples must decide if they want to stay married or get a divorce. This is going to get messy!
I have made it clear, my favorite couple is Deonna McNeill and Greg Okotie. Keith Manley and Iris Caldwell get an honorable mention, although I don’t think they are suited for one another. But I am most interested in what Amber Bowles, Matt Gwynne,Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson will do about their marriages. Honestly, if Amber chooses to stay with Matt, I may lose my mind. I just want to shake her and force her to use this last episode as her redemption. It’s not her fault she was paired with the nomad from hell. Let’s get straight to the Married At First Sight recap!
On last night’s episode of Married At First Sight, there were only 5 days left in the experiment before the couples made a BIG decision. The retreat was coming to a close and we are one step closer to decision day. Something tells me this last week won’t be easy. Knowing this group, there will definitely be some drama.
In fact, one person finds out a shocking secret about their spouse. The viewers don’t need to find out a secret to know half of this group is doomed. Let’s get right into the Married At First Sight episode!
On this week’s episode of Married At First Sight , the experts arrange a couple’s retreat. This will give the group a chance to reflect on their marriages and open up about their issues. With only one week until decision day, it’s extremely important that they put everything out on the table. Given most of the couples are train wrecks; this should be an interesting finale. I don’t know if the cast is just desperate to be married or they are blinded by love. Either way, I want several of these people to find their self-respect and a good therapist. Let’s get straight to crazy and recap this episode!
Greg Okotie and Deonna McNeill decide to go out for a fun night of ax throwing with her sister and her boyfriend. Before Deonna arrives, Greg tries to find out the secret to getting his wife to let her guard down. He doesn’t get much information, but her sister says she can see her walls slowly coming down. I can see that Deonna is trying as well. I just hope that she can continue on the right path. Amber Bowles goes out to dinner with her friend, Raven and discusses her marriage. If this guy is straight, Amber you have a better chance of getting this guy to stick around than Matt Gwynne. Even Raven can see that Matt is a lost cause. He flat out tells her that she deserves better. I agree, no one should have to beg someone to want to be with them. Amber breaks down crying as Raven encourages her to see her true value. Amber, this guy is way cuter than lanky vagabond Matt. What are you doing with your life?
On this week’s episode of Married At First Sight , the couples went deeper into the past to help them determine if they have a future together. With less than three weeks left to make a decision time is imperative. The Married At First Sight experts ask the couples to visit childhood memories.
One couple has drama the ENTIRE episode, to the point where we are left wondering if they should call it quits before decision day. Let the minding of other people’s business begin and start the Married At First Sight recap!
On this week’s episode of Married At First Sight, the experts sat down with each spouse to find out what it will take for the couples to stay together on decision day. There are less than four weeks left in the experiment and at least 50% of the couples are already doomed. As much as I enjoy being reminded my problems aren’t so bad, I can’t help but wonder why some of these people even got married.
You have one groom who barely comes home and another couple that argues at the drop of a dime. The other couples have issues as well, but they are fixable at least. If I were an expert I would make each Married At First Sight participant take mandatory psych evaluations and self-esteem courses. Nonetheless, let’s unpack the BS drama we witnessed inside this episode.
On this week’s episode of Married At First Sight, the couples have reached a milestone in their marriages. It’s their one-month anniversaries. There is only four weeks left in the experiment. This should be a day to remember, but it turns out to be one some want to forget. Whew, chile I see why some of these people were alone for YEARS. Obviously old habits die hard, because many don’t seem to want to learn any new tricks. One couple may be done for good after an explosive argument. Lucky for us we get to take a break from our own problems and watch it play out while we eat popcorn.
In the last episode, Elizabeth Bice coerces Jamie Thompson to participate in a full moon circle. The next morning they drink the moon water that was left sitting outside all night. Ummm… gross. The cups are filled with water, a rock and whatever found its way from the elements into the glass. Let’s hope this “new energy” means that neither of them will have another fight for at least a week. Although Jamie whines a lot, he puts up with all of Elizabeth’s crazy. Honestly, I don’t know how either of them deals with each other. It’s been a month and they have had more fights than I can count.
