The Real Housewives of New York is welcoming their first black cast member in their newest season. That’s right! Eboni K. Williams is officially joining the RHONY crew! There are other rumors that Bershan Shaw may also be joining…but we’ll have to wait and see.

For now, let’s just get excited to add a Housewife who Gizelle Bryant already stans. Giz has recently made comments that Eboni will know how to cope with the likes of Corona-Ramona Singer. And lucky us! Eboni is already sharing some thoughts on the infamous Ramona-coaster.

Sonja Morgan Ramona Singer Real Housewives Of New York

Most of us watch reality TV for an escape. However, there are some topics we just can’t avoid and coronavirus is one of them. We’ve seen the cast of Real Housewives of New York shooting their out-of-focus at-home confessional interviews. We’ve seen almost every Bravo show shoot a Zoom reunion in response to the pandemic. However, the New York Housewives were able to shoot the reunion in person because each person was spaced six feet apart.

Aside from dictating the setup of the reunion, coronavirus was also a conversation topic with Leah McSweeney and Dorinda Medley slamming Ramona Singer’s pandemic behavior. Then, rumors started to swirl that production on the upcoming season paused because one of the cast members tested positive for coronavirus. Apparently, that’s only half true.

Sonja Morgan Ramona Singer Real Housewives Of New York

Even though the most recent Real Housewives of New York season just ended, they are already filming the next season, sans Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer.

Eboni K. Williams joined the cast, as the first Black cast member in the show’s history. Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Leah McSweeney are still on the cast.

Heather Thomson Ramona Singer Real Housewives Of New York

For the most part, pretty much nothing happened during the most recent season of Real Housewives of New York. Dorinda Medley belittled Tinsley Mortimer until Tinsley quit in the middle of the season. Leah McSweeney got wasted and threw tiki torches, raviolis, and whatever else she could pick up (and toss) for attention. She’s currently sober, so, it’s fair to assume that she will not be throwing objects next season.

But, what were the actual storylines? Yes, these women are so funny, but there was really nothing happening. No wonder they decided to shake up the cast. Elyse Slaine will not be back to continue her feud with Ramona SingerDorinda got fired after a season with very few redeeming moments. Eboni K. Williams was hired as the first Black cast member in Real Housewives of New York history. And, now it seems like Heather “Holla” Thomson might be back. Or at the very least it seems like she filmed a lunch scene with Luann de Lesseps and Ramona.

Gizelle Bryant Real Housewives Of Potomac

Raise your hand if you’re watching Bravo’s Chat Room, I’ll wait. The new nightly talk show is hosted by various Bravolebrities. Porsha Williams is representing Real Housewives of Atlanta, much to NeNe Leakes’ dismay. Hannah Berner from Summer House holds a spot. Gizelle Bryant from Real Housewives of Potomac and Below Deck alum Kate Chastain round out the rest of the cast. They dish about subjects related to pop culture and of course Bravo Bravo fucking Bravo. As you may know, Real Housewives of New York is getting a new cast member. Eboni K. Williams is preparing for her first season and she’s the first black cast member of RHONY.

Eboni will be a huge asset in several ways. She is a lawyer, honey. So out of the gate you know she can talk. Gizelle is particularly pleased to see Eboni come on board. See, Giz has beef with Ramona Singer. Ramona shooed Giz out of a photo in July 2019 and the incident has been burned in Gizelle’s brain ever since. Not much can get under Ramona’s very renewed skin, but Gizelle is hoping Eboni manages to provide a challenge for the veteran and just maybe send the Ramonacoaster off the rails.

It was rumored that entertainment news correspondent Alicia Quarles would be the first Black cast member on Real Housewives of New York. Then, there was speculation that Bershan Shaw would join the cast.

As of this moment, it doesn’t look like either of them will be on the show, but there is a new addition to the show that has been officially confirmed.
