NYC Housewives’ Ramona Singer is once again telling it like it is, and this time around she’s unleashing her ramotional views on the Real Housewives of Miami.

In an interview with the Miami Herald, the NYC Housewife shares her opinion on RHMIA’s Elsa Patton and Lea Black. According to Ramona, Lea is badly in need of a makeover.

“I thought she looked like she was going to a costume party,” Ramona stated about the House of Gaga reject attire Lea wore to Adriana‘s gallery opening. “She looked a little ridiculous.” Oh but Ramona had more to say. “Someone’s giving her bad fashion tips. I think she needs a makeover,” added Ramona about Lea’s crimes against fashion. “It just looks like she’s stuck in a bad era.” Ouch!

And what does Ramona think of the glamorous Elsa? “I freaked out. I didn’t know if she was a man or a woman at first,” said Ramona upon facing Elsa for the first time on television. “I didn’t know if she was like a drag queen, I swear.” Telling it like it is indeed.

In other MIA news, the Miami Herald reported last week that three of the housewives – Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton and Lea Black — share a six degrees of separation with Willy Falcon and Sal Magluta, dubbed “The Boys” during the real Miami Vice era. Both currently seat in prison as Falcon pleaded guilty to money laundering and got 20 years in prison, while Magluta was convicted in 2002, sentenced to 205 years and ordered to pay a fine of $63 million for laundering cocaine profits to defense attorneys, bribed jurors and Colombian hit men.

Alexia, 43, then Alexia Figueredo married a Magluta associate Pedro L. Rosello in 1992, the same year their son Pedro aka Peter was born in Hialeah. Rosello, who cooperated as a government witness, was ultimately convicted of cocaine trafficking, and served some time in prison. Alexia and Rosello were divorced by the end of 1995.

Meanwhile, Marysol, 44, was the girlfriend of a convicted, big-time cocaine distributor who also was a cooperating witness in the federal drug case.

As for the role of Lea, 56, she is married to famed attorney Roy Black, who was paid millions to represent Magluta. When Roy was asked about the connections between the Bravo show and the Willy-and-Sal case, he simply stated, “It’s so Miami, that’s for sure.”

In not so surprising news, Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Echevarria is now in hot water over the comments she made on a recent episode of the show.

If you recall, the self proclaimed Cuban Barbie managed to diss the entire city of Hialeah – population 250,000 – when she referred to them as a “lower” class of people who purchase her Venue magazine as a means to live vicariously through the socialites portrayed in her mag, which caters to Hispanics.

The Miami Herald reports the folks of Hialeah are none too pleased with Alexia’s comments, especially considering the fact that her husband Herman Echevarria, is a former Hialeah City Council president and former chairman of the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Longtime resident, sixth-grade science teacher and former political hopeful Phil Secada, 56, told the Herald that Alexia’s comment was uncalled for. “We got good people,” Secada said. “I can’t think of a better place to live than Hialeah. I have been to all 50 states except three. I love Hialeah.”

Society writer and former Herald columnist Daisy Olivera called Alexia’s comment a classic “case of ‘open mouth, insert Louboutin.’” Nobody “with any semblance of class or humility call anyone else ‘lower persons,’ especially not your own, hard-working people,” wrote Olivera blasting Alexia. Ouch.

Alexia has since apologized for her comments, stating: “I admire and respect the people of Hialeah; in fact my husband is a product of Hialeah.”

In other MIA news, Elsa Patton, darling mother to Miami housewife Marysol Patton, continues to be a hot topic, mainly for her appearance. In fact, our site got a ton of searches for Elsa this week, with most having to do with Elsa’s face, and many wanting to know what she had done, or what she used to look like.

Well good news, as we now have a before photo of Elsa, and she was actually not too shabby looking. That before photo is below –

Has the Bravo network finally bitten off more than it can chew?

That answer might be yes based on the ratings for the newest housewives franchise – the Real Housewives of Miami.

According to a ratings report, the Tuesday night premiere episode of the show had the lowest Bravo housewives debut in recent years, bringing in a mere 1.21 million viewers.

Just how low is this? Let’s just say even the “boring” Real Housewives of DC had a higher debut with over 1.6 million viewers just less than a year ago. Also in comparison, the Real Housewives of New Jersey had better ratings for it’s 2009 debut, bringing in over 1.7 million viewers.

So is it time for Bravo to start panicking? Maybe, maybe not. Bravo did air a sneak peek of the premiere episode on Sunday night so perhaps the viewers who tuned in on Sunday failed to show up on Tuesday. But then again, it might just have been the bad word of mouth. As we previously reported, the show has been panned with negative reviews from both viewers and critics.

In general, premiere episodes tend to be low in ratings as some viewers wait for the drama to build up. Example – the October 2010 premiere of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills brought in 1.5 million viewers, but the viewership steadily grew as the show went on to average well over 2 million viewers for its first season.

And oh yeah, above is a photo of Marysol Patton and her 76-year-old mother Elsa Patton. The photo was taken this week during the RHMIA premiere party.

In other news, the ‘Real Housewives of Late Night‘ made their second season return last night on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show. The highlarious skits will be airing every other Thursday on the talk show. And just in case you’re wondering, Denise seems to be a dead ringer for Jill Zarin, while Lydia channels Caroline Manzo. Perhaps Yvonne is Nene Leakes?

Watch the video below to find out what Renee, Dale, Denise, Lydia, and Yvonne been up to!

TELL US – SHOULD BRAVO BE WORRIED ABOUT THE LOW PREMIERE RATINGS & BAD REVIEWS? THOUGHTS ON THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF LATE NIGHT SKIT?

Like mother, like daughter…

Just a few days before the Real Housewives of Miami is set to debut on Bravo, E! News has uncovered mugshots of housewife Marysol Patton, and her mother Elsa Patton.

Their offenses? They were both arrested for DUIs in 2010 on separate occasions. A spokeswoman for the Florida State Attorney’s Office tells E! News that the younger Patton, Marysol — a Miami-based publicist, was arrested in January 2010 on suspicion of drunken driving.

Marysol ultimately struck a deal with prosecutors, which had her pleading no contest to a lesser charge of reckless driving to avoid jail time. She was fined $1,000 plus $581 in court costs.

As for Mama Patton, who might or might not have had many injectables to the face, she was busted for her DUI last October. E! states the 76-year-old’s arrest details are scarce, as the case ended up being dismissed on Dec. 6 when her arresting officer failed to show up to court to testify.

Oh yeah, the Real Housewives of Miami premieres February 22 on Bravo at 10/9c.
