Usually, the Real Housewives of New York ladies bring a lot to the table. However, there really haven’t been any storylines other than Dorinda Medley picking on Tinsley Mortimer (who left halfway through the season). Oh, and the alcohol consumption… all of the alcohol consumption.
One person who’s not partying as hard as the rest of them is Elyse Slaine, a voice of reason/the only cast member who can actually remember what happened the night before. However, she will not be at the reunion taping… even though it’s probably gonna be a virtual reunion taping, which should be super easy for her to be a part of logistically.
Never a dull moment with the Real Housewives of New York ladies. They’ve picked it up after their recently low ratings. If you missed the latest episode, I highly recommend you stop what you’re doing immediately and get watching. Viewers saw the most recent fight between Luann de Lesseps and Dorinda Medley escalate to new highs. Well, maybe not *so* new. Dorinda did recycle her drunk mugshot line and her Jovani ranting. But anyways. The argument was about whether or not Sonja Morgan should be paid for her time in Lu’s cabaret show. It turned into Lu sobbing while Ramona Singer and Leah McSweeny scoot her into a car to visit a pub. Friends forever!
The episode semi-resolved the issue when everyone woke up and basically admitted they had no idea what happened the night before. Now we’re getting Dorinda’s take after she’s gotten a chance to watch herself back. If you remember, she’s already said it’s been a tough year to watch. Sounds like this week was no exception.
Real Housewives of New York always delivers. In so many ways. The fighting, the laughs, Lady Sonja Morgan drunkenly falling off a chair at a dinner table. Even on the most boring of seasons, they seem to keep every entertained enough to continue watching. After all, what has really happened this season?
One thing we can point to is the dissolution of the friendship between Ramona Singer and Elyse Slaine. It went downhill so quickly I wasn’t even exactly sure what happened. And Elyse has admitted to not knowing what happened either. We could speculate that maybe Ramona regretted bringing Elyse into the group as a friend of. Or maybe Ramona just can’t handle one more friend in her 60-person strong girl gang. That’s a lot of people to keep up with. But maybe Ramona should have kept Elyse on her good side.
Jill Zarin may have been fired from Real Housewives of New York after Season 4, but she is still part of the drama on the sidelines. After her beloved husband Bobby Zarin’s death from cancer in January of 2018, Jill and former friend Bethenny Frankel reunited outside of Bobby’s memorial service while RHONY cameras were rolling.
Since then, Jill found love again with her boyfriend Gary Brody. The couple was even shown attending Luann de Lesseps’ Voodoo Halloween party. Jill seemed relaxed and happy.
It would be an understatement to say Luann de Lesseps FREAKED out on last week’s episode. This has been the messiest season of The Real Housewives of New York ever. However, the way Lu treated Sonja Morgan was so random and so uncalled for. In all fairness, Sonja should be paid for her cabaret appearance. Luann’s ego can’t handle that, apparently. Pay the poor girl, so she doesn’t have a full breakdown!
Another big talking point heading into this episode is the new rift between Ramona Singer & Elyse Slaine. It’s looking like that friendship might be donezo. Also, why is Dorinda Medley so invested in the issue between Luann & Sonja? Doesn’t she have her own history of treating Sonja like crap? Or do we not remember the issue about the crest on the slippers?
The Real Housewives of New York cast trip in the Berkshires continues tonight. Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps get into a heated argument. Dorinda calls Luann a “drunken fool” to her face. She also calls her out for her mugshot from her infamous arrest. In response, Luann tells Dorinda “You’re a sick human being.” And at some point Luann storms out of Blue Stone Manor.
Is storming out of a cast trip Lu’s new signature move? She left the lower level of Ramona Singer’s Hamptons house earlier this season. Will she pull the same stunt when the cast heads to Mexico later this season?
Ramona Singer has been right in the middle of all the drama this season on Real Housewives of New York. You know how Ramona hates to be the center of attention!
She has slammed newbie RHONY co-star Leah McSweeney for her drunken antics. She has fought with Elyse Slaine about whether or not they are close friends.
Ramona was berated by Dorinda Medley about plans for Ramona’s birthday party, because Dorinda thought that she and Sonja Morgan were used as a social media photo op for the party planner. And let’s not forget that Ramona has ditched the ladies to attend swankier parties or go on a date.
It’s been a little over two weeks since the faithful return of Real Housewives of New York City to our screens. New taglines and all! Since the break, fan-favorite Tinsley Mortimer has left the show and the city. The franchise has also had it’s lowest-rated episode in literal years. This week we watched the cast return to the Bezerkshires. Apparently, Jill Zarin was excluded from the trip by Dorinda Medley. Jill really has a habit of being excused from cast trips. *cough cough SCARY ISLAND cough* Sadly, I think we all would have much rather watched Jill and Dorinda grapple for the spotlight than Ramona Singer and Elyse Slaine fight over…I’m not even sure. How close of friends they are? Apparently it’s not that close, ladies.
It’s no secret that Ramona has always had a thirst for the spotlight on the show. In the previous episode, Sonja Morgan called Ramona out for always one-upping with “fake parties and fake friends.” This week Luann de Lesseps called Ramona the “queen of scenes.” She wants to make a scene and be aired doing so. Even Leah McSweeney claims Ramona tried to boot her off the show. I’m sure Leah’s “juvenile” by hysterical storylines irk Ramona to no end. Welp. Lu’s critique of the Ramona-coaster actually go beyond her self-recorded-at-home interviews.
