The Real Housewives of Atlanta virtual reunion continues tonight with part two. Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams discuss where their friendship went wrong. At the start of Season 12, Porsha and Kenya were on the same page and their friendship was super enjoyable to watch after their years of feuding. Even their adorable daughters played together. Then, things somehow went left and the shift in their dynamic was pretty unclear.
However, their short-lived friendship never had a chance as soon as Porsha made up with NeNe Leakes during the cast trip in Greece. NeNe and Kenya are sworn enemies. So, any hope of Kenya and Porsha returning to a new place was basically crushed as soon as Porsha and NeNe made up. So, of course, NeNe jumps in on this discussion and gets into another heated discussion with Kenya during tonight’s episode.
Well, as we learned on last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta, a virtual reunions is no substitute for a live performance! Shutting the computer screen is far more anti-climatic than gathering up one’s ball gown and trouncing off to stage left in a fit if pique, but leave it to NeNe Leakes to find away to ‘close the door’ on anything she doesn’t want to hear! She tried, I’ll give her that!
The ladies were ostensibly responsible for all their own glam, although some like Eva Marcille admitted to having someone in to do their makeup. Andy Cohen was quick to call them out by mentioning that he saw people with masks and gloves in the background.
Eva should’ve saved that money for a dress that fit. Whatever she was wearing was making her cleavage look, as Porsha Williams put it, like her boobs were “social distancing.”
Tonight is the night! Andy Cohen and the Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies are ready to recap the season and rehash the drama. The reunion may be virtual, but the drama seems pretty damn real. I’m not gonna lie, I’m really curious to see how it all come together under such unconventional circumstances.
The reunion brings us back to the start of the season: NeNe Leakes and her apology tour. Going into Season 12, NeNe basically had zero friends in the cast. Well, except for Marlo Hampton, but Marlo doesn’t even have a peach. During tonight’s reunion episode, Eva Marcille questions NeNe’s intentions with her apologies. Obviously, NeNe just wants to film this show, regardless of how many times she mentions sisterhood.
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta are always on point when it comes to their reunion looks. Over the years they have all had show-stopping outfits. The ladies always come prepared to slay us with their looks and usually never disappoint.
Having their glam squads on deck is a luxury they have become accustomed to. The recent nationwide lockdown made it difficult for the ladies to slay. With this season’s reunion now being virtual, the ladies had a change of plans.
Marlo Hampton has been featured on The Real Housewives of Atlanta from all the way back in Season 4, but it’s only been in the past three years that she’s secured an official recurring gig as a Friend of the Housewives. And in that time, Marlo has constantly sided with Nene Leakes, at times acting as the RHOA OG’s one and only friend among the group of Georgia Peaches.
As such, Marlotta has developed something of a reputation as Nene‘s latest “lapdog” in the eyes of Housewives like Kenya Moore, Eva Marcille and Cynthia Bailey. However, in a new interview with Nene, the Friend of the Housewives is speaking out against the label and even calling the OG out on how one-sided their friendship can be.
NeNe Leakes is heated after that Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion taping. Other than Porsha Williams, she seems to have no full-time cast members on her side. At least, she has part-timers Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam for support. However, they weren’t on hand for the whole reunion taping.
On the opposite side was a team led by Kenya Moore. That group includes Kandi Burruss, who has been beefing in the press with NeNe lately. NeNe has been shading Eva Marcille for adding nothing to the show. So, now she’s #TeamKenya. And, then there’s Cynthia Bailey. She made peace with NeNe, but she takes residence up Kenya’s ass. So, we all know where her loyalties lie when it comes down to it.
Last night was the season finale of Real Housewives Of Atlanta. I feel like this season just started, but I also feel like it’s been happening forever. . Maybe there was entirely too much repetitive drama and by that I mean Nene Leakes vs. Kenya Moore and Todd Tucker vs. Mama Joyce.
It all started out so promisingly with everyone excited about attending Kandi Burruss and Todd’s baby shower. Just kidding – no it didn’t! The episode opened with Kenya expending precious energy during an event for her hair care line by bashing NeNe as a bully with no friends.
TMZ just happened to be outside a strip mall salon in Atlanta where 5 of Kenya’s closest employees were gathered to witness the momentous day when she exploded a shampoo bottle and called it a product launch. The ‘paparazzi’ consisted of one lone guy holding a glorified HandyCam while simultaneously asking questions. He really didn’t care about the natural proteins in a KM Haircare product, but he did care about the latest installment in Life Of Leakes.
Everything about 2020 has been unexpected. In the list of 2020 oddities is the revived friendship between NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak. They were bitter enemies on the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 reunion, and many times before that.
While viewers have seen NeNe and Kim enjoy some fun times together, for the most part, we’ve just seen them fighting and shading each other to filth. That’s why it’s kind of surprising that NeNe has been pushing for Kim to return to RHOA. She didn’t just respond to one random question naming an alum that she’s missed. NeNe has spoken out about this several times. She went live with Kim on Instagram. During that session (Yes, I watched. Judge me), NeNe mentioned multiple times that she wanted to start a YouTube venture with Kim.
