Gina Kirschenheiter Defends Ex-Husband Matt Kirschenheiter Amid Ongoing Divorce, Says He Is “Not A Monster”

Everyone makes mistakes, right? Who are we as a society if we do not acknowledge mistakes and move forward with positive intentions? Gina Kirschenheiter has learned a hard lesson about bad decisions. On the current season of Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina has definitely had her share of issues. Not only does she have to deal with people like Vicki Gunvalson passing judgement on her lifestyle, she has also had to navigate the fallout from her own poor choices.

Gina’s marriage to Matt Kirschenheiter began to dissolve roughly when she signed up for RHOC. She even admitted filming the show did not soothe the rollercoaster of emotions and suspected infidelity the couple experienced. In a horrible turn of events, Gina and Matt’s pleasant co-existence was shattered when he allegedly assaulted her over the summer. Since that time, we have seen tears, accusations, and numerous court appearances. Now that the dust has settled, Gina wants people to know, her ex isn’t such a bad guy after all.

Shane Simpson Real Housewives Of Orange County

Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson has really gone through the wringer this season. Her friendship with Gina Kirschenheiter has been on the rocks, and she’s had to deal with petty BS from mean girls Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. On top of that, her marriage has been on full meltdown mode.

Emily’s husband, Shane Simpson, has not been present for her or the kids. He left his family for an extended period of time to study for the bar exam. Not only did he not pass, but he admitted he didn’t miss his family. Then he didn’t show up to watch Emily perform on stage at a Vegas show for their own anniversary. Sounds like husband of the year material to me! So where are he and Emily at now?

Emily & Gina as femme fatales

Gina Kirschenheiter is holding out hope for her friendship with Emily Simpson.

Last week, the Real Housewives of Orange County Star stopped by People to chat about the rocky turn her friendship with her fellow sophomore ‘Wife has taken this season.

Emily Simpson

Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson has had her struggles this season. She squabbled with her bestie, co-star Gina Kirschenheiter. While her husband, Shane Simpson, studied for the California Bar exam, she managed to work full-time and handle caring for their three kids. Shane prepped for the test by living at a hotel with no communication with his wife. And he didn’t pass.

In a confessional that Shane filmed for the show, a producer asked him if he missed his wife while he was at the hotel studying. “This is where the sarcasm comes in. Certainly, I missed her! If I tell you the truth, she’s gonna be pissed, and at the same time, I don’t wanna fib. I don’t really cry myself to sleep because I miss my family,” Shane stated. “I just do what I gotta do. And I know that there’s a time where it’ll be done, and I can come back home and I can be with my family and kids.” Viewers were not thrilled with Shane’s brand of “sarcasm.”

Gina Kirschenheiter

Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter has been having a rough season so far. Last year she fronted that her divorce with Matt Kirschenheiter was more than amicable, and that they were still best friends. Most people found that hard to believe, and rightly so. If everything was so great, why get a divorce?

This season, Gina finally opened up and admitted all wasn’t as it seemed. The truth was her husband had an affair and left her for the other woman. Needless to say, Gina has let the floodgates open and emotions have been running hot. So it probably wasn’t the best idea for Kelly Dodd to use an unsuspecting Gina to reenact bonking Shannon Beador on the head.

Emily Simpson

Much of Emily Simpson’s story on this season of Real Housewives of Orange County has centered around her marriage to her little bitch  husband Shane Simpson. While Shane studied to take the California Bar exam, Emily worked, took care of the kids, and kept their household going. After all, Shane was studying at a hotel and had little communication with his family in an effort to pass the test. Spoiler alert–he didn’t pass.

But what did Shane pass on? Shane refused to go to Las Vegas with Emily to celebrate their anniversary. Emily even arranged to dance on-stage in a sexy burlesque routine for her husband. Instead, the confident lawyer hit the stage in front of Shane’s parents and RHOC co-stars Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke. I admire Emily’s confidence.

Kelly Dodd Says Gina Kirschenheiter Is A Follower & Tamra Judge Plays Both Sides

Kelly Dodd is on the war path against part-time cast member Vicki Gunvalson this season on Real Housewives of Orange County. But, then again, who can blame her? Vicki told everyone that Kelly did cocaine and claimed that Kelly barely spends time with her own daughter during the Season 13 reunion.

At this point in Season 14, Kelly thinks that Vicki is the one who spread those train rumors. However, the viewers know that it’s been Tamra Judge who first mentioned the allegation. Oh, and Tamra has been bringing it up every chance she gets, much to the delight of her followers Shannon Beador and the newly inducted ass kisser Gina Kirschenheiter.

Gina Kirschenheiter And Ex Matt Kirschenheiter Are Co-ParentingThrough A Website

Gina Kirschenheiter admitted on a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County that she was not very forthcoming about what was really going on in her life last season. She made her divorce out to be a friendly conscious uncoupling ala Gwyneth Paltrow. Since then, of course, we have learned that Gina’s life has been very difficult behind the scenes. Earlier this season, Gina finally admittted that her then-husband Matt Kirschenheiter had been having an affair before their split.

A DUI in February started out a year of Gina being swept up in legal matters. In June, Gina was allegedly the victim of domestic violence by Matt. She took out a restraining order against him later that month. In August, Gina finalized her divorce. She was also awarded primary custody of their three children and $10,000 a month in support. A year like Gina’s would be incredibly difficult for anyone. So, how is she coping with all of this?
