Well folks, THIS IS IT. We have reached the end of the road for this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. It felt like this day would never come. One of the best seasons of Housewives in recent memory. The fight between Monique Samuels & Candiace Dillard Bassett was one of the most talked about moments EVER. Top tier television.
When we last left the women, Candiace was rushing off set in tears after discussing the fight. Monique however remained emotionless and matter of fact about the altercation. The two contrasting reactions to reliving the events was fascinating to watch. This time, the husbands are joining the women on stage, so hopefully things don’t get too out of control. Although, how bad can it get with creepy Michael Darby out of the picture this time?
This Real Housewives of Potomac reunion is getting nasty really quickly. Monique Samuels’ binder is going to go down in Housewives infamy. Has anyone else ever brought such thorough receipts to shut someone down the way she did Gizelle Bryant. The way she openly read off Jamal Bryant’s phone number was iconic because everyone knows that relationship is a sham. She made the alleged cheating rumors seem a lot more plausible.
We didn’t get much interaction between Monique and Candiace Dillard Bassett on last week’s Real Housewives of Potomac reunion episode. However, all of that is going to change. We’re finally going to dive into THE fight that changed everything on Real Housewives of Potomac. Both of these women have had a lot to say in the last year. Now though, all of that talk is coming to a head because we’re going to hopefully get some real answers.
For some reason, Bravo’s Chat Room hasn’t been canceled
yet. Despite serving up sub-par entertainment, the show is stirring up some drama.
Porsha Williams defended her good friend Monique Samuels amidst Monique’s ongoing feud with Candiace Dillard. And, well, Candiace didn’t take too kindly to that.
Season 5 of Real Housewives of Potomac was on fire. Much of the season was driven by the ugly physical confrontation between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels.
The incident occurred at a RHOP party in October of 2019 while the cameras were rolling. After the fight, Monique and Candiace slapped each other with second-degree assault charges. In December of 2019, both charges were dismissed.
Of course, the Reality Tea team understands being very invested in reality TV content. We enthusiastically cover reality TV shows and the stars’ off-camera activities. However, there’s a difference between being very invested and going too far.
There is NEVER a reason to wish death on a reality TV star, yet it happens so often from faceless, anonymous social media users. This is not at-all-acceptable and Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon is tired of the hatred.
We have all heard that Karen Huger is “not impressed” by Wendy Osefo, but what did Karen say about Wendy that is so awful? We never really got to see that. Instead, we saw Gizelle Bryant misquoting Karen, sharing sentiments that were supposedly shared off-camera, and possibly straight up lying about things Karen didn’t say.
Pretty much every time Wendy was upset about something Karen “said,” it was only something that we saw Gizelle relay to her. Did Karen call her a freelancing floozy? Not that we saw. Aside from playing the most distorted game of telephone ever, Gizelle has another platform to skew the narrative, Bravo’s Chat Room. I tried to give the show a chance, but it just isn’t it (Porsha Williams is a great host, though). Aside from the obviously forced chatter and Gizelle’s horrid fashions, it’s just become a medium for Gizelle to push her own narrative and get in a few digs at her frenemies. I removed Bravo’s Chat Room from my DVR, which is saying a lot considering that I still watch Real Housewives of Orange County, a show that’s clearly jumped the shark.
The moment has finally arrived. The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion is here. For the first time in over a year, Monique Samuels & Candiace Dillard Bassett are in the same room. There is a lot to unpack between those two. The fight changed everything. Finally, we are going to hear both sides of the story with both there to hash it out. This is highly anticipated. It doesn’t get bigger than this for a Housewives fan.
Someone who should be nervous at this reunion is Gizelle Bryant. She was extra messy this season, and many of the women are going to want to hold her accountable. You can only get away with shady underhanded tactics for so long before people fight back. Karen Huger always has Gizelle’s number so I expect her to be front and center as the ringleader of a possible Gizelle takedown.
Welcome back to The Real Housewives of Orange County. Where, in case you missed it, the apocalypse has happened. After weeks of encroaching panic, the coronavirus has descended upon the OC. Production has been shut down indefinitely. The ‘Wives are all in isolation and have resorted to documenting their lives in quarantine via iPhone. It’s scary. It’s more than a little triggering to watch play back nine months after we all just lived through it. But it’s also a fascinating experiment in keeping the cameras rolling during a truly unprecedented time in history.
Unsurprisingly, all of the women are handling the pandemic differently. Braunwyn Windham-Burke has gone digital with her sobriety journey by attending AA meetings online. Elizabeth Lyn Vargas is focused on helping animals while spreading ridiculous conspiracy theories on her social media. Shannon Beador has forced her family into full lockdown mode. And Kelly Dodd is busy giving a giant middle finger to lockdown protocols altogether, jetting off to New York City to visit her boyfriend.
