Karen Huger has truly held her own throughout this season of Real Housewives of Potomac. Gizelle Bryant has been coming for Karen and stoking the flames in her direction. Of course that means tag-along Robyn Dixon has too. Just the same as every other season. These two need real story lines. They’re both going for the “back with my ex-” arc. Please. It’s been done.
Karen certainly knows she can get on her cast mates nerves. She has had it out for Wendy Osefo since she’s been on the scene. Either way, it came as no surprise to Karen that the wives questioned her arrival to the finale party in our final episode of Season 5.
How is it possible that this season of The Real Housewives Of Potomac is coming to an end? What a stellar season it has been. Top notch television from beginning to end. The fight between Monique Samuelsand Candiace Dillard Bassett changed everything though. There’s been a divide ever since, and that tension is about to boil over on this finale. It’s time for the men to get in on the action I suppose. Michael Darby, do your thing.
Candiace is questioning her friendship with Karen Huger now. At one point does straddling the line between two fighting friends become shady? Should she have to pick a side? Candiace certainly thinks so. After feeling set up at Karen’s wig party, it will be interesting to see where the two of them go from here. The damage is done because TRUST is broken.
The cast of Real Housewives of Potomac are on the verge of igniting. Since the fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard, sides have been taken. And there is a clear line between the ladies that have a zero tolerance policy for physical assault and those that see gray. Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Wendy Osefo are on the side of Candiace. Ashley Darby has isolated herself in Monique’s camp, while Karen Huger tried to play both sides.
All of this shimmering tension will come to a head on the season finale, when a fight breaks out between the Michael Darby and Chris Bassett. This altercation will include their wives, Ashley and Candiace. Of course, this was long overdue since Ashley confessed to writing a statement in defense of Monique. Candiace took the news relatively well when it was revealed in Portugal. But clearly there was no resolution, and Monique was not there to deal with the fallout either. So, with all of these issues simmering, it’s no wonder RHOP had an explosive reunion this season.
There has been a ton of drama this season on Real Housewives of Potomac. The one moment that defined the season was the physical altercation between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard. Bravo cameras rolled during the incident. It was horrible, violent, and difficult to watch.
Candiace filed a case against Monique for second degree assault. After, Monique filed one against Candiace for the same. Luckily, a judge dismissed both cases.
Gizelle Bryant might not have thrown any bows so far on Real Housewives of Potomac, but she has not emerged unscathed from this season. A lot of Gizelle’s storyline revolved around
money laundering protecting her relationship with Jamal Bryant. You know, the ex-husband who cheated on her, fathered children with other women, and claims to be a man of God. This is the same guy Giz said she would never get back with who now apparently lives in her phone.
Because so much of the ladies’ time was devoted to taking sides between Monique “Don’t Ask Me Twice” Samuels and Candiace “I’m Not Asking For It But I’m Totally Asking For It” Bassett, other content was overlooked. Lest viewers forget, Gizelle is… a BUSINESSWOMAN. But is she though? Fans remember the birth of EveryHue Beauty in 2016 and not much since then. Now we might need to bid adieu to EveryHue. Friends, The Grand Dame has something to say.
How crazy is it that this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac is almost over? WHAT A SEASON IT HAS BEEN. Whew. I don’t think I’ve ever fully recovered from that blowout altercation between Candiace Dillard Bassett & Monique Samuels. It’s so toxic, and honestly sucked all of the energy out of me. Although, nothing reinvigorates me with life more than Karen Huger launching a new business. Bless Karen and all of her wigs.
Karen has been stuck between Candiace and Monique for weeks now. No matter what she says or does, someone doesn’t like it. Candiace doesn’t fully trust her anymore. This wig event is set to be a crucial moment in their friendship. Karen alleges that Monique is NOT on the guest list. The majority of the group was more than pleased with that revelation. However, if Karen does decide to include Mo, prepare for all hell to break loose.
The Portugal fun is almost over for The Real Housewives of Potomac. It was a much needed vacation away from the chaotic drama back home. However, the fun and excitement is about to come to a screeching halt. Ashley Darby wrote a statement against Candiace Dillard Bassett on behalf of Monique Samuels. Once Candiace learns this bit of information, the current peace in the group is over.
There’s an underlying level of tension in the group ever since the incident at the barn. In a perfect world, people shouldn’t have to take sides when something like this goes down. However, it’s not a perfect world. Both Candiace and Monique want people within the group to see things from their POV. Unfortunately for Candiace, Monique may be winning over Karen Huger. La Dame might actually be La Backstabber.
During the last episode of Real Housewives of Potomac, Robyn Dixon told Gizelle Bryant she’s not going to include photos of Karen Huger on her website,
where she’s selling tacky hates to pay off her tax debts.
She claimed that Karen’s photo isn’t as good as the others’. So, why didn’t she take a glance at the camera throughout the photo shoot to check on how things were going? Why doesn’t she invite Karen to do a re-take? Why doesn’t she just realize that having Karen on the website is going to help her
pay off her debts sell these hats? And, why did she and Gizelle have to be so cruel (yet again) making fun of Karen’s age? It’s not kind and it’s not even clever. Do better, green-eyed bandits.
