It should be common knowledge by now that when signing up for a reality show, you are basically signing your life away. And you’re opening the door to all of the skeletons you’ve worked so hard to hide from your Facebook friends. Now that Dr. Wendy Osefo, BA, MSc, PhD, NoOneCares has finished her first season on Real Housewives of Potomac, she’s realizing not everything stays under the radar.
If you didn’t know, Wendy holds multiple academic achievements and often appears on MSNBC. She descends from Nigerian royalty and has quite a reputation to maintain. Dr. Wendy has a lot on her plate, but managed to stand out on RHOP thanks to the impressive credentials she rarely mentions. But those closet skeletons have a way of creeping out at some point. So while we know Wendy has four degrees, three kids, and a big house – now we find out she also has $1.5 million in debt.
Portugal is the much needed reset The Real Housewives of Potomac needed to move on from the fight. I understand the altercation between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett was a big deal. However, they can’t let that one incident drag down the entire season. Letting loose and having some fun even if it’s just temporary, lightens everything in a big way.
We last left these lovely ladies with Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger at odds. They each want to meddle in the other’s relationship, and it’s a vicious cycle. They’ve been throwing digs at each other for five seasons now, and it never changes. One day it might boil over and reach the point of no return, but for now, let’s enjoy the back and forth shade. Jamal Bryant isn’t around ever, but is it Karen’s place to call that out?
Season 5 of Real Housewives of Potomac has been on fire! Nearly every cast member has a story line this season. RHOP newbie Wendy Osefo flaunted all of her degrees and squabbled with Grande Dame Karen Huger. Karen was dealing with the shifting dynamics in her marriage to Ray Huger. Ray isn’t used to an independent wife who is focused on her perfume business.
Ashley Darby was adjusting to motherhood, and once again, dealing with her husband Michael Darby’s inability to keep it in his pants. This time, Michael
slept with fell asleep next to another woman at a hotel. But don’t worry-Michael assured his wife that nothing happened. Umm…okay.
Life was much more simple when Real Housewives of New York debuted its first season. Bethenny Frankel was living in a less-than-stellar apartment with a bald man named Jason, trying to make a Skinnygirl logo with a Comic Sans font with help from Alex McCord.
She got chastised by Luann de Lesseps for introducing her as “Luann” instead of “Countess de Lesseps.” It was the good ole days in many respects. But, obviously, that era didn’t last forever. Bethenny became a multi-millionaire and superstar businesswoman/philanthropist. And, apparently, she became a lot less funny, at least according to Gizelle Bryant from Real Housewives of Potomac.
It’s time to escape with The Real Housewives of Potomac and head to Portugal! It’s about time we get out of that city this season, and take a break from the drama. The saga between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett has become too much. It’s all we ever hear about, and it’s time to let the mouse go. It was a little surprising to see Monique press charges against because she was the violent one herself.
Hopefully this trip will not end the same way for Ashley Darby that the last one did. Michael Darby has a hard time staying on his best behavior. No matter how hard Ashley tries to save the marriage, Michael always does something to screw it up. He is the king at getting into messy situations. The stakes are so much higher now because of the baby, but he still can’t be bothered to care. Let’s hope he keeps it in his pants this time!
Season 5 of Real Housewives of Potomac was all about the build-up to the altercation between co-stars Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard. The rest of the season will be about the consequences of the fight, and how it affects the ladies.
At a RHOP cast event, Candiace challenged Monique to drag her, and Monique did just that. Monqiue pulled Candiace’s hair and yanked her down across a table. And, of course, Bravo cameras were rolling. It was awful to watch, and there is no excuse for violence.
Isn’t it nice when ladies of a high-end community can solve conflicts and have mature discussions to iron out issues? It might be, but we probably won’t see it on Real Housewives of Potomac. That said, RHOP is having a breakout season thanks to hands-on combat and verbal disputes.
Karen Huger is helping to keep Potomac above water. She emerged as a voice of reason after Monique Samuels finally succumbed to Candiace Dillard’s request to be dragged. She makes no bones about Gizelle Bryant’s
doomed reconciliation with Pastor Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater. But Dr. Wendy Osefo, BA, MSc, PhD’s scholarly boasting is getting on her final nerve. Now we learn the one thing Wendy does not have a degree in is going up against the Grand Dame.
It’s been weeks since the fight between Monique Samuels & Candiace Dillard Bassett. However, the altercation is almost ALL anyone is talking about on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Does anyone else have fatigue from this assault talk? We get it. We know what happened. Either they find a way to move past it, or one of them needs to leave the group. Monique is so isolated and on an island right now, so maybe she should go.
Tensions are only going to escalate though because Monique is going to file a counter suit. No idea why or what grounds. Everyone with eyeballs saw that Monique is the one who took things to the next level. For her to have the audacity to then try to become the victim is mind blowing. The charges for both end up dropped, but this is going to be quite the journey it seems.
