Last night on a special episode of Married to Medicine, the girls arrive for a gathering at Contessa Metcalfe’s home. Everyone is in attendance with the exception of Mariah Huq and Toya Bush-Harris. I guess Toya still hasn’t gotten over Contessa lying on her. During the party, Contessa reveals her new breasts in a revealing swimsuit. I must admit, she looks great and is in better spirits. She proposes a girl’s trip to Los Angeles. We all know this is just a reason to introduce the fans to some of the members of the new Married to Medicine Los Angeles cast. Yasssss… new girls, new city and new drama. I am here for it! I can’t wait to see how some of these women compare to the cast we have all come to know and love.
The ladies are picked up from the airport by Contessa’s friend, Dr. Britten Cole. Of course, Heavenly Kimes finds a reason to complain. She can’t believe a doctor has a Jeep, with no doors. Well, I can’t believe a dentist, says “yo mama”. Britten reveals she watched her family struggle growing up. This propelled her to want one job that would pay her well. Currently, her husband and kids are in Florida until she secures her job and living situation.
This week on Married to Medicine, we get some insight into Quad Webb- Lunceford and Gregory Lunceford’s marriage as they sit down with Andy Cohen. The couple is going through a tumultuous divorce. They haven’t seen each other in months. It’s clear that this sit down is going to be loaded with sex, lies, and tea. I am ready to sift through it all to figure out what I believe is the truth!
Quad expresses disappointment in some of the statements that Greg made regarding their marriage on a radio show. Greg claims that they haven’t had sex since the reunion in 2014. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, 2014!!! No wonder he was in a hotel room with another woman. Quad claims the lack of sex is because he couldn’t achieve an erection. I guess nothing is sacred or off limits at this point. Sigh! He said it was because he was working three jobs and under tremendous stress to make her happy. Quad believes he was cheating with other women and, therefore, he wasn’t interested in sex with her. I don’t think Greg was cheating for years. I think they had some serious issues in their marriage and maybe even with his libido, but I do believe he loved her.
On this week’s episode of Married To Medicine, Gregory “Greg” Lunceford makes an appearance at guy’s night. He has some shocking things to say about his side of the divorce. Ironically, many of his claims differ from those made by his soon to be ex-wife Quad Webb-Lunceford. I can’t wait to see exactly whose side is the most believable. Forget the divorce, I have been giving the marriage the side eye for a while so this should be interesting.
Simone Whitmore hangs out with the family. They discuss what needs to happen when they move back into one house together after being separated for some time. Her husband, Cecil Whitmore even volunteers to give Simone his closet and use one in another room. I’m glad they are finally moving back together. I never understood the concept of a North and a South house. It just seemed like a recipe to drift further and further apart. They both admit that since returning from the couple’s trip in Antigua (and Simone kicking Cecile’s bestie, Tammy to the curb) their marriage has been in a good place.
Usually when a show gets moved to Friday nights, that’s a bad sign for its future. However, Andy Cohen insists that he’s very happy with Married to Medicine these days. During the last episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy shared, “People are always asking me what’s the best show on Bravo right now. Right now, Vanderpump Rules and Married to Medicine.” He also said, “Married to Medicine is some of the realest stuff I’ve seen on a reality show ever.”
Aside from getting the shaft from Bravo and being moved to Friday nights, Married to Medicine gets little to no shine from the network. If this is one of the two best shows on Bravo right now, where is the love?
