I cannot believe we’re already to the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion! Last night’s first installment of the ladies’ sit down with Andy Cohen was reality gold…and pewter and bronze and silver. Their gowns were like a medal ceremony in the Envy by Melissa Gorga Olympics. Also, whoever told Jackie Goldscheider that the attire was cleavage optional is clearly getting the last laugh. But at least Jackie’s least likely to have a wardrobe malfunction when being screamed at by the first eight seasons’ Teresa Giudice who throws
tables punches instead of rolling with them. Shockingly, Jennifer Aydin has her girls under wraps as well, although she does arrive in a Rocky-style blinged-out boxing robe. Of course, she does.
Andy welcomes the newbies before questioning Teresa about Joe Giudice’s impending deportation. Teresa is clearly upset, but they table the discussion for later in the reunion. He continues schmoozing the RHONJ cast before complimenting Margaret Josephs’ facelift. He even gets Dolores Catania to admit to butt implants with her own fat. Jackie shares she had a tummy tuck after giving birth to two sets of twins. Margaret also reveals that she and husband Joe Beningo shower together every morning.
No one is at all surprised by the seating arrangement at the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 Reunion. Teresa Giudice is sitting with
her soldiers Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin. On the opposite couch, Margaret Josephs is joined by Melissa Gorga and Jackie Goldschneider, duh.
However, Melissa had to be
jealous at least a little surprised that Margaret got the seat next to Andy Cohen. Then again, Melissa doesn’t have as many battles to fight this season. Margaret had it out with Jennifer, Teresa, and Danielle Staub, who will not appear on Part 1. Meanwhile, Melissa promoted her own store and took a genetic test to match with a “sister” that does not actually exist may or may not exist.
I can’t believe we’ve come to the end of this season of Real Housewives of New Jersey. It seems like it has gone by so quickly, but in some ways, it’s been quite a long, drama-fueled road that culminated in the ladies seeing red at Jennifer Aydin’s anniversary party celebrating sixteen years with Dr. Poolhouse. Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub are perusing scarlet ball gowns while discussing Margaret Joseph’s gala. Danielle gets in a requisite amount of digs while questioning whether she’ll be well received at the party. Teresa reveals that she doesn’t have an issue with Margaret and sees no reason not to be her friend. Danielle bristles, questioning whether Teresa will have her back if someone comes for her at the event. Of course, Tre is nothing if not loyal. It was hard to even type that with a straight face!
Jackie Goldschneider takes her mother for a makeover, but her mom explains that her physical appearance has never had an impact on her self-esteem. Jackie believes her mother has felt she had to be frumpy to be taken seriously as a business woman. She compares that fear of finding beauty with her reconciliation with her sister after a fifteen year estrangement. I’m not sure what one has to do with the other, but her mother’s hair and make-up looks nice.
We don’t deserve The Real Housewives of New Jersey. This season has been the perfect season in so many waves. The new ladies were explosive right out of the gate. Both Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider found themselves at the center of many jaw-dropping moments.
The tequila monster Jennifer SMASHED A GLASS AND THREATENED Melissa Gorga. Jackie went toe to toe with Teresa Giudice and lived to tell the tale. The drama was sizzling throughout the entirety of the season. Besides the new wives, we got to see the insane end of Margaret Josephs and Danielle Staub’s friendship. WHAT A TABLE FLIPPING RIDE.
The biggest thing to look forward to now is the always dramatic reunion show. The Real Housewives of New Jersey always deliver come reunion time. Teresa manhandled
rag doll Andy Cohen during the Season 2 reunion. Teresa went up against all of her costars for multiple seasons in a row at the reunion tapings. Last year, Teresa exploded on Kim D in a memorable confrontation. CLINK CLINK. Hopefully, they kept the drinks to a minimum (looking at you Jennifer!) because tensions will be running very high. Will the Real Housewives of New Jersey survive the reunion show unscathed?
Real Housewives of New Jersey newbie Jennifer Aydin wasted no time creating drama on the show. There was her first ever girls’ trip to Oklahoma, where she bragged about her amazing house and all its amazing bathrooms. She also delighted in insulting Margaret Josephs’ friend, and long-suffering hostess, Polly.
Jennifer had no qualms about going on a second girls’ trip, much to conservative husband Bill Aydin’s dismay. The Cabo trip will go down as being the most infamous in RHONJ history. Margaret likened Jennifer’s plump and pouty lips to “a monkey’s a**hole.” At dinner one night, Margaret threw wine at Danielle Staub after Danielle cackled about how Margaret’s children are not in her life. Danielle flung a glass at Margaret, hitting Melissa Gorga’s leg. Finally, when Melissa accused Jennifer of throwing the glass, Jennifer smashed a glass on the table and brandished it at Melissa.
Even though Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 is still airing new episodes, the fans are already looking ahead to Season 10. It’s pretty much a given that Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, and Dolores Catania will get asked back for another season. But what about the two new Housewives? Will Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Aydin return for Season 10? Let’s not even address Danielle Staub’s situation. She isn’t even a full-time cast member.
Recently, rumors swirled on Twitter about Jackie’s status on the show. Some tweeters claimed that Jackie got fired. I find it tough to believe that anyone got fired from the show. Season 9 is the best RHONJ season in years. Why would they switch it up by firing one of the full-time cast members? Not only that, but Jackie is the only one who is completely comfortable calling out Teresa
for camera time on her hypocrisies. That warrants a callback, right?
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Cabo trip was everything I wanted and more. There was high humidity and high drama. Margaret Josephs told Jennifer Aydin that her lip liner reminded her of “a monkey’s asshole.” Then, she upped the ante by declaring that Jennifer’s husband sleeps in the pool house and in his girlfriend’s bed. As the viewers know, she took this back immediately, but Jennifer’s reaction gave us some great drama.
Later, Danielle Staub had the nerve to tell Margaret that her kids don’t want to be around her. That’s something Marty Caffrey’s kids could relate to, Danielle. Then, The Marge retaliated by picking up Dolores Catania’s glass of red wine and dumping it on her. Somehow, this all lead to Jennifer smashing a glass and coming at Melissa Gorga with a makeshift shank. So much for this being a fun, booze-filled trip after months of Teresa Giudice’s fitness competition dieting.
Had you been waiting with bated breath like me for last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey? All week I pondered who would prevail in the battle of Envy by Melissa Gorga and Jennifer Aydin’s tacky Chanel. Frankly, I wouldn’t put my money on either of them to throw down after Margaret Josephs doused Danielle Staub with Dolores Catania’s wine, but crazier things have happened in Cabo! Also, I appreciate the RHONJ’s producers for giving us a “to be continued” episode last week. What’s that old saying? People in garish houses shouldn’t throw glass? Jennifer gets in Melissa’s face, and Melissa quickly retreats. Dolores steps in to intimidate Jennifer, and Danielle intervenes. No matter how much Danielle hates Dolores, she respects her ability to beat Jennifer’s monkey’s ass lip liner.
Dolores takes a walk to cool off. Margaret confides in Jackie Goldschneider about how disappointed she is in Teresa Giudice’s behavior. She thought they were friends. Why is Teresa condoning Danielle (and subsequently Jennifer’s) abhorrent behavior? Teresa chases down Melissa who is disgusted by her sister-in-law’s loyalty. Dolores approaches to second Melissa’s assertions. Tre is peeved by their statements while Melissa and Dolores find Jackie and Margaret to share what escalated. At the bar, Teresa, Jennifer, and Danielle defend their actions. At least Teresa tries to show Jennifer the error of her ways…sort of.
