Mary Cosby Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Reunion

Mary Cosby truly brought something to the first season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. I just haven’t decided if that something is good, bad, or just downright weird. From her perspective, it was a sign from God. 

Mary started the show with a bang simply because of her off-the-wall storyline. She married her step-grandfather. She inherited the role of first lady of a church (that might be a cult) a la Gizelle Bryant style — but Gizelle isn’t exactly a Mary fan. Jen Shah became her sworn enemy when Mary told her she smelled like hospital. She said some pretty problematic things at the reunion, but also fell asleep in a hilarious way. Mary is truly a unique woman, even if she spends 98% of her time in her closet.

Jen Shah was at the center of most conversations during Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 1. Like it or not, she was really doing the most, so much so that people wondered if Jen was amping up the drama for the sake of camera time.

Surprisingly, Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow, who never agree on anything at all, both said that Jen wasn’t putting on for the cameras. They both said that Jen just is who she is, which makes her on-air outbursts much worse in my opinion. Recently, audio leaked of Jen berating members of Shah Squad, threatening to “beat the shit out of them.” She berated her reunion dress designer in leaked audio as well.

When Real Housewives of Salt Lake City debuted as the newest franchise, it was fun and fresh. Jen Shah emerged immediately as the HBIC. But since that time, she has exhibited some bouts of aggression that floored me. Warning- there is a lot of cursing and rough grammar coming up.

During the RHOSLC cast trip to Las Vegas, Jen had a meltdown because Lisa Barlow and her doppelganger, Meredith Marks, made amends with Whitney Rose. Jen got in Whitney’s face, and gave her best friend, Heather Gay, a smack on the hand.

Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Reunion Part 3 Recap: One Last Pep Talk For The Road

We’ve arrived at the final hour of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 1. The third and final act of a historic three-part reunion. And you guys. I’m not ready for it to be over! Like really, really not. It’s been inarguably the best debut season of a new Housewives franchise since Beverly Hills back in 2010. And I’m saying that as a huge fan and ardent defender of the Potomac’s first season. (My original Bravo claim to fame was being behind one of the very first viewer-submitted reunion questions in RHOP history.)

But these SLC ladies delivered in every single way imaginable. They brought something new and completely different to the table, and added a fresh and unique POV to the Housewives universe. RHOSLC reinvigorated the franchise as a whole while some long-running tentpole cities are starting to feel stale and, ahem, long in the tooth. And that’s not just my bias talking as a born-and-bred former Mormon/Utah native. So indulge me while I savor this last recap before closing the door on Season 1 in Salt Lake City. K?

Meredith Marks is upset with Jen Shah for talking about her marriage on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Meanwhile, Meredith’s bestie (and lookalike) Lisa Barlow took up for Jen at the Season 1 reunion, which makes zero sense. How is Meredith not bothered by Lisa going hard to stand up for the woman who upset her when she discussed her marriage?

On top of that, Heather Gay slammed Lisa for being a bad friend to Meredith. They got in a huge fight about this and Meredith didn’t say much at all. She merely admitted that she wasn’t listening/paying attention. She also got up to take a break while Heather and Lisa fiercely fought to defend her honor.
